How it works:
If you haven’t seen the 80smaniawrestlingmeme account on Instagram then here is a run down of it. On Instagram there will be polls on who the followers think should win. The fed that has been voted on is R’n’R so that is our fed. Right now we’re having a g1 Climax type of tournament to crown a world champion. We will have more tournaments like this to crown tag, tv, cruiserweight, and women’s titles. This is all entirely run by fans votes, except me who puts up the polls. I will be still running my space fed which is a slower paced fed(which is why I don’t post everyday).
The Tournament:
The tournament is consisted of 20 wrestlers that are split up in two different blocks(a and b). There will also be around 5-10 wild card wrestlers who can wrestle in either block a or b but only have one match and fans pick who they go against. They could help out the other wrestler or do nothing for them. Point system works by 3 points for pin, 2 for submission, 1 for a loss, and 0 for countout or disqualification. The decision of how they win is also by fans. Competitors for the tournament has already been decided with members consisting of Hairy, Dr. B, Jet Set Strutter, Dizzy Lixx, (Death)Star Boy, Lazer, Grand Manga, Arizona Chance(or solar), Juan Tijuana, El Presidente, Max, Attack, Ace of Spades, Hammerhead(or Freedom Fighter), Mighty Leo, Valedictorian, Dude Brohan, Dark Invader, Chet Skye, Mercenary, And Memphis Prince. The block they will be in is being decided right now on the Instagram polls. Matches will be coming out tomorrow. Any wrestler with () around their name is because depending on what block they will be in, changes there gimmick. Wild card wrestlers can be from 1980-1989. With that saying some wild card wrestlers include Keith Blood, Slashmaster, Flawless One, and Flex Deltoid. It works like a usual g1 Climax with the wrestle with most points in their block winning 1st place in their block and face off the #1 in the other block. Winner between those two will be crowned world champion of the fed.
Time Period the Fed takes place in:
Decided by fans the fed will take place in the 1980s with it starting in 1980 January. The fed won’t officially start till the world champ is crowned.
Some polls that will be up:
The obvious polls being who would win the match but fans will also be able to add a match stipulation, the P4V that will take place after 3 shows, year end rewards, and in some occasions be able to have a title vacated.
Now with this information, blocks and the first matches will be put up by tomorrow.
