I think references is kinda their thing. Like Monstro is obviously Thanos. Maybe, but look at Mr Fantasy's post from earlier as well: You long time players still on that " this guy is supposed to be that guy" thing? tsk tsk eh. I mean, I don't get why trying to figure out the reference is such a bad thing. It's one of the things that makes me enjoy the game, but if it's so bad, I'll just stop, or figure it out in private. |

I think Mr. Fantasy means that we keep saying that a new character is ONLY based in one character/person/wrestler, when its been stated various times for a long time that a character has multiple references and not just one. |

It's very much possible that was what Mr. Fantasy meant, I can't say positively what his cryptic message meant, as no one but Mr. Fantasy himself can confirm it's meaning. I'm in no way trying to say people shouldn't voice their opinions on who all and/or what each wrestler references, or try to talk it out with each other to try and make more sense of the wrestler and their background. For me personally, I'm thinking that these wrestlers, at least the ones revealed so far, are completely original. Son of Samoa could be a combination of a number of Samoan wrestlers, while Monstro might very well be a mash up of high powered cosmic villains from different comic book companies. And don't get me wrong, I absolutely love trying to guess at the references to pictures of wrestlers in the upcoming update pictures for 80sMWR. And if it so happens MMW is referencing real people or modern pop culture, I'll be just as happy to guess along side everyone else. If, and I use if loosely, MMW is using wrestlers created from the ground up, with no references used in the creation process, then it leaves an entirely new door open. Think of how much imagination we could use in making up wrestlers we want added to the game. How many have, or in my case had long ago, original wrestlers created for efeds? And the thought of describing my best creations on the board and possibly seeing them in a game update would be crazy and exciting all at once.
