July 1989
Week 1
We start the week off with a promo from the world champ, jet set strutter. Strutter goes off on everyone in his opponents list. He calls average guy a fat idiot,says Damon needs to stop sucking his dad and actually try out wrestling him, and starts literally cussing out honest al, screaming “THUNDERBIRD,YOUR NOT EVEN WORTHY OF HAVING A MATCH WITH ME” the strutter was then removed from the building.
The show officially opens in what can only be described as “good wrestling” in a loser goes to jail match between rad racer and officer chip. Chip was almost able to win the match by handcuffing the rad one to the handles of the steel steps,until racer managed to make a comeback, and bash chip into the ring pole and toss him in the ring, hit the tail whip, and pick up the win. The cops then treat officer chip like he’s pore and arrested his ass.
The next match is Hammerhead with mother Russia against magnus muscles partner, pat cabbage. Hammerhead beats the living hell out of cabbage. After the match, he just starts laying waste to pat. He hits him with a massive Russian sickle clothesline that damn near takes his head off. Hammerhead takes out a steel chair and prepares to smash cabbage until muscle comes out to stop him. The medical staff comes out to the ring to assist cabbage and get him out.
Tonga over Mercenary lol
I’m the next match, ace of spades takes on average guy. If spades wins, he gets a shot at ginzus tv title. Average guy has been fighting Ginzu for the past 2 months. But every time guys about to win, ginzu gets him self counted out or disqualified. Guys about to get an upset win over spades,but jet set strutter sneaks in to hit average guy with a low blow, allowing spades to get his royal flush in and take his #1 contenders spot.
To end of the show is a cruiserweight title match between chance solar and the piranha. Piranha keeps trying to get his outlaw clutch but chance shoots him dead at point blank.

Poetic at times, melancholy at others. Simply one of the absolute triumphs of literature. Not just present day mind you, but of all time. You wrote that piece as if your pen were a thunderbolt and your hand were Zeus creating at will what could only be perfection. The rest was good too, but it wasn't the cornucopia of blissful prose that the Tonga match possessed. I was smitten. |

Storyline recaps
So because it’s just kinda starting I need to update you on storyline progression.
Magnus muscle vs hammerhead.
This one started back in about late 88. The match was freedom fighter vs jet set in a match of the year candidate. Fighter was seconds from victory,until he clotheslined the ref on accident when strutter pushed him in front of himself. Fighter hit the haymaker of justice on strutter but the ref was out.Warhawk ran to the ring to get the ref back up, but unintentionally costing the match,as fighter was distracted by him and didn’t see strutter get back up and lock in the 6 figure leg lock, causing the woozy ref to ring the bell for strutter after fighter tapped. Strutter kicks in freedoms ribs and unmasked him. Fighter was mad. Mad at the ref. Mad at strutter. Mad at Warhawk. Mad at America. Stars and Stripes ended up screwing him out of the world title. America ruined him. Hammerhead was born. He comes back at super duper show in the middle of a match between the recently returned magnus muscle. Magnus had been on a roll with matches,even picking up a win over mad Arab and Skullgore. Magnus has about to win the tv title from then champ masakari when hammerhead stormed the ring and beat the hell out of Magnus. Then Brit Buckingham and mad Arab join in and just tear him to shreds. Superplexing him twice, before smashing him through the announce table. The stage was set for a mega match at champ clash(which is better than war dome fight me) they would go to hell and back, with hammerhead as the winner after hitting Magnus with a chair when the ref wasn’t looking. This story is gonna end at wardome in a flag match to make the sudden swap to a super American the next night make sense

June 1989
Week 2
This week starts off with a 6 man elimination tag team match between dark invader, dr b Jupiter against chance solar,lazer and ninja star. This match is only here for Merch sales.
We then see an advert recapping the decimation of elara nexus at the hands of gorgon tokoro at monster mayhem. Elara is set to return in time for the first ever ladies only p4v next month “ladies night”
Up next is a tag match between ace and flawless against the van winkles. If ace and flawless wins,ace will get a match against strutter. If the winkles win, Damon gets a shot. It’s ultimately a good match until ace absolutely whiffed terry during a dropkick, that caused terry to fall and hit his head on the mat. Ace realizes he was a absolute dumbass,and in a desperate attempt to get terry out of their, Damon rushes to the ring only to get flushed by ace. Terry is getting rushed out of the building as devin doesn’t see flawless tag in, to hit him with the flawlessplex. At summer smash, ace vs strutter in a dream match. However,at the end of the match,ace beats up flawless.he then goes to the ring,and puts on the 3D glasses. Ace arcadium is back for the first time in 7 years. Strutter is visually pissed back stage.
After that absolute madness,We get the match of the night. He-beast v Skullgore. He-beast is getting his ass beat until he pulled out his sword and chopped off Skullgores 1inch skeleton chode. Skullgore feels nothing because he’s a literal bone. He then gets hit with the banana slamma...(checks notes) animal slam and picks up the win
We see average guy as he calls strutter a strutting blond hairs incel that wants to be a chad but can’t
Brohan then beat strutter in the main event
This show made me 3000$ lol

Da supa dupa 90s recap so I don’t have to right it out
So I’m January 1990. I don’t want to write it out so here’s all the main event storylines.
King V vs Average guy for the tv title
So king v finally got to the fed and made a huge impact. Absolutely running through the roster going through opponent after opponent. He won the Tv title in his first match, beating GREAT GINZU. You know,the guy that never defends without cheating against average guy. After strutter beat guy at champ clash,guy just kind of lingered the midcard scene until King V issued an open challenge to anyone man enough to fight him. Average guy was so close to winning till queen of mean districted the red to send guy to dick kick city. Average guy did not win the title. King is still champ.
Ace vs strutter
Strutter won all 3 matches. Even the non title ones. I’m picking this back up in the 90s in a big money match for champ clash or something (when I get ace and jet)

January 1990
Week 1
Vtc is talking big shit about how he’s gonna be the biggest star in the company. He’s telling people about how he should be world champ not that blond haired idiot jet set strutter. “If anyone one thinks they’re a master,I’ll take.Them.Under.
DONG And just like that, for the first time since 87,slashmasters here,to beat the men that took pity before, ace of spades(lol he doesn’t work here yet) strutter, and the other members of nightbreed. Vtc try’s fighting back but master devastates him. Hits 2 back to back grave diggers before actually pinning him.
Next is Ronnie believer vs beer can man
Can is doing good until taking a kendo to the dome and tumbling into a violent tendency from Ron. The hardcore division is born
Next is dark invader in his comeback match against newcomer Orion northstar. Invader tried hitting the choke but Orion is able to overcome that and get in mind tricks. Afterwords invader begins taking out his rage on the young Orion. However, solar and hairy come out to save northstar, and in the process,cracking invaders helmet,causing him to run off
In the semi main event, it’s a cruiserweight title match between ninja star and new star by the name of ric dragonfly. It’s a good match leading up to dragon overcoming the veteran star, hitting a picture perfect leapfrog splash off the top rope and winning the title
In our main event, the tag champs,it’s lazer and flex against new team, mount crushmore. The month before, overload failed to take the titles with partner chief buffalo. Lazer and flex get a good start until the new sumo San is tagged in. He tears flex to shreds and by the time he has a chance to get lazer in, overload power bombs him off the ropes and on to the floor,letting sumo hit the sayonara drop and crush flex. 123 new champions
After the show it’s announced on abcw.com that the champs will be defending next week against veterans cutthroat carter and papa chopper

January 1990
Week 2
The show starts off with a musical performance from front street until the rebellion just beats them up after the crowd starts booing the street.
After that we get a great match between large papa rad big rig against the new American hero Magnus muscle. Magnus is he’s debut match after defeating arch rival hammerhead in a flag match at wardome. Magnus is on the cusp of his ankle lock until big rig makes him eat a boot to the face.
We then see a promo from 2zap announcing his entrance into the battle Royale.

Slash master and mort ishin send a warning to strutter

The rest of January
Ok so this is how I’m gonna do this from now on. I’m just doing 1 month blocks
Nothing of note happened in week 3 so this is really just a ppv episode
1990
Battle royal
We open with mount crushmore continuing their reign of terror by defeating netherworld
Fatale over Trixie
We see a mysterious promo with Japanese music ending with a closeup on a manga.(I’ll explain later)
For the first time in nearly 3 years, jet set has no title. Undermaster and mort went to the ring and murders him relentlessly. He starts with a clothesline into a grave digger combo that leads into a choke slam out of the ring. Jet is crawling away but master grabs him by his hair and drags him back in the ring. Hits another gravedigger, 1.2.3. Undermaster is your new world champion.
And in our main event, the battle Royale. The winner gets a shot at March mania for the title. We have an all star lineup of new main eventer and uppermidcarders. Strangely, the iron men weren’t Brohan or buzzsaw or even big rig. It was actually 2zap and Ronnie believer. Ron managed to bring in some weapons and used his trademark hardcore style to keep guys off him and 2zap was busy fighting bb the whole time.the match ultimately goes crazy ne’er the end when dragonfly eliminates both dude Brohan, and buzzsaw. The final 4 are dragonfly,vtc,big rig and muscle.everyone immediately goes for rig, who stumbles out the middle rope. Next out is vtc who went for the cruel diver only to eat a kendo stick from dragonfly,down to the(semi)final two. Magnus is quick to hit his ankle lock but doesn’t see big rig get back in and hit the damn best power bomb you’ll ever see. Now that Magnus is out it’s just rig v dragon. Rigs getting his big spots in, the big boot,powerbomb, all that stuff when dragonfly managed to get a lucky low blow to rig. Giving fly enough time to get a chair, throw it at rig, and hit the dragonflyer(what I’m calling his vandaminator) and hurricarana him out to win the royal. After the match he says that undermaster better be ready by March, because that’s when the dragon really flies.
Man of the month:dragonfly
Dragonfly overcame all the odds there were to win and secure his match in March. I mean the man win the cruiserweight title for gods sake. He’s the first guy since Lazer to resonate with the crowd that much. This man will win a world title. One day...
