Three men are seated at a table in a private corner of a dimly lit restaurant. They are Mr. Greenhorn, Mr. Codger and Mr. Fantasy.
Fantasy: Gentlemen, thank you for coming out tonight. It's a good night to celebrate.
Greenhorn: Celebrate? Aren't you worried?
Fantasy: Greenie, we've been stuck under the thumb of that orange guy and his territory system for too long. Plus, a little competition never hurts anyone.
Codger: Well, I suppose it was as good a time as any. The television deals were too good to pass up. But Fantasy, I've known you longer than junior here has been alive. Why did you really ask us here?
Fantasy: (Laughs) Right to the point Codger. I've always admired that about you. I want to propose a gentlemen's agreement. Sure, we aren't territories anymore, but we all know where our strengths lie. What I'm suggesting is we run our feds in the areas we are used to. Greenhorn, you and ABCW get the mid-south and Texas. Codger, you and RNR take the south and I'll stick up here in the northeast with WOW. Sound like a deal?
Greenhorn: I don't know what you have up your sleeve, Fantasy, but I'm willing to go with it.
Codger: What the hell, me too. What about the west coast?
Fantasy: No one cares about the west coast. It's a money pit. Now, one last piece of business and then we can celebrate. I want to bring back the Tournament of Champions. Just because we aren't part of the same parent company any more doesn't mean we can't still kick each other's asses once a year.
Codger: Won't the logistics for that be a nightmare?
Fantasy: Not really. We can have the tournament overseas somewhere. I'm thinking the top 64 men and top 16 women by winning percentage in a single-elimination tournament. Winners take all.
Greenhorn: How much is "all?"
Fantasy: I'm thinking $500,000
Codger: You are a crazy SOB Fantasy. I like it.
