NOVEMBER 1980 WEEK 4 PAY 4 VIEW ABCW
1) CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE: Skullgore © vs. Red Pirate Rogers – WINNER: Skullgore 2) Ace Arcadium/Terry Van Winkle/Damon Van Winkle vs. Cobalt Commander/Death Star Boy/Big Thugee – WINNER: Arcadium/Van Winkles NOTE: Big Thugee is the first to be eliminated, pinned by Damon. Both Van Winkles go next, after interference by Devin Van Winkle. Despite the odds, Ace is able to pin the final two opponents and get the win. 3) Piranha is interviewed. He makes it clear that he has no dog in this fight between Chaos and ABCW and that he’s just looking out for himself. 4) Iron Mask/Jesse Wild/Sgt Shipley vs. Dungeon Crawler/Goblin Knight/Elfette – WINNER: Crawler/Knight/Elfette NOTE: Dungeon Crawler is the sole survivor of the match, taking out Sgt. Shipley in what is called a “brutal” fashion. 5) Lil Thugee is trying to get into the Chaos locker room to talk to his cousin. He is attacked by Keith Blood and Zombie Punk, all while Succubus watches and laughs. Moon Man comes and tries to fight off the heels, but is overwhelmed by the numbers as well. 6) Chance Solar/Laser/Buzzsaw vs. Slashmaster/Hairy/Roboelectro – WINNER: Solar/BladeBlasters NOTE: Buzzsaw pinned Slashmaster to emerge as the last man standing. Solar and Hairy were both counted out while fighting up the ramp. 7) HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Dark Invader © vs. Dr. B – WINNER: Dark Invader NOTE: The show closes with all the members of Chaos in the ring, taunting the crowd and the rest of the ABCW roster. RNR1) CRUISER TITLE: Pat Cabbage © vs. Michael T. Wolf – WINNER: Michael T. Wolf NEW CHAMP NOTE: Wolf looked much more energized in the rematch than he did when he lost the belt. 2) Crash/Rad Racer/Max Attack vs. Ruffian/Slugger Johnson/Cutthroat Carter – WINNER: Home Team NOTE: Carter is the only one eliminated from Home Team in the victory. 3) Countess is interviewed. She says she is not surprised that Mynx joined the Conglomerate, but that it doesn’t matter who she’s aligned with, she’ll beat her all the same. 4) Mighty Leo/He-Beast/Aurora vs. Vladimir the Cruel/Great Ginzu/Mynx – WINNER: Morning Soldiers/Aurora NOTE: This turned into a non-match. The bell rang and all three members of the Conglomerate just left the ringside area. The ref counted to 10 three times and called the match. 5) El Presidente attacks Fireball backstage, injuring him. 6) Bobby Blitzworth/Troglo/Drool vs. Brute/Massacre/Johnny Kobra – WINNER: Blitzworth/Troglo/Drool NOTE: Blitzworth and Troglo survive for their team in the victory. 7) WORLD TITLE: Annihilator © vs. Ninja Star – WINNER: Annihilator NOTE: Ninja had a number of chances but was never able to capitalize. WOW1) LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Chameleon Kid © vs. Doberman Duke – WINNER: Chameleon Kid 2) Valedictorian/Reptile Ranger/Gepetto Rocco vs. Exotic Rick/O’Hooligan/Pelvis Pressly – WINNER: Valedictorian/Ranger/Rocco NOTE: Ranger was DQ’d after refusing to stop his corner attack on Rick. Ranger even pushed his partners and left with his wife again. Rick was pinned quickly, due to his condition. 3) Mr. Tycoon is interviewed. He says he knows 1980 hasn’t been exactly “ideal” for him in terms of wins and losses, but at the end of the day, he is rich and the stupid fans aren’t. He laughs and walks away. 4) Glam/Lyndi Harker/Spunky Sparks vs. Almighty Dolla/Mother Russia/Queen of Mean – WINNER: Dolla/Russia/Queen NOTE: Almighty Dolla and Mother Russia are left at the end. 5) The B-Boys (Boombox, Zap, Soul Daddy) are shown on video hyping next month’s end of the year award show and pay 4 view. 6) Haka Tonga/Dicky Thunderbird/Juan Tijuana vs. Hammerhead/Mad Arab/Brit Buckingham – WINNER: Island Brothers/Tijuana NOTE: None of the men on the winning side get pinned. 7) HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Dude Brohan © vs. Pierre the Enormous – WINNER: Dude Brohan NOTE: The crowd pops huge when Brohan is able to lift Pierre in the air and slam him to the mat. WEEK 1 ABCW
1) Red Pirate Rogers is interviewed. He apologizes to the fans that he let himself get caught up with the Empire and he won’t take the fans for granted again. 2) Chet Skye vs. Dungeon Crawler – WINNER: Chet Skye NOTE: Skye’s first week back after injury and he looked very focused. 3) Dr. B vs. Death Star Boy – WINNER: Death Star Boy NOTE: Dark Invader attacked Dr. B before the match and left him in bad shape. He still nearly overcame the speedy Star Boy. 4) Iron Mask vs. Roboelectro – WINNER: Roboelectro 5) Valley Girl vs. Elfette – WINNER: Elfette NOTE: Valley Girl tried to play friendly with Elfette, but Elfette just destroyed her quickly. 6) Ace Arcadium vs. Piranha vs. Hairy – WINNER: Hairy NOTE: Piranha took the pin. Arcadium tried to save him from further attacks after the match, but Piranha pushed him off and left the ring. RNR
1) Great Ginzu, Vladimir the Cruel and Mynx open the show talking trash about other members of the roster and the fans. They are heavily booed and seem to be eating it up. 2) Rad Racer vs. Officer Chip – WINNER: Rad Racer 3) Warhawk vs. Jet Set Strutter – WINNER: Double count out NOTE: Ginzu and Vlad came out to “assist” Strutter by taking out Warhawk. They accidentally took out both men, who were summarily counted out. Strutter was not pleased, telling them he didn’t need the help. 4) Drool vs. Massacre – WINNER: Massacre 5) Troglo vs. Annihilator – WINNER: Troglo NOTE: Non-Title match. Troglo gets the surprise pin and runs out into the crowd to celebrate. 6) UNITED STATES TITLE: Firebell © vs. El Presidente – WINNER: El Presidente NEW CHAMP NOTE: Ginzu, Vlad and Mynx all come down to the ring. Ginzu distracts the ref while Mynx prepares to hit Fireball with a chair while Vlad holds him outside the ring. Mighty Leo rushes out and grabs the chair from Mynx. He goes to hit Vlad, but misses and hits Fireball. Vlad rolls the champ back into the ring as Mynx trips Leo. El Presidente gets the easy pin. WOW 1) Valedictorian is interviewed. He says he’s getting tired of O’Hooligan’s shenanigans. 2) Boombox vs. Cletus Mullet – WINNER: Boombox 3) Gepetto Rocco vs. Papa Chopper – WINNER: Papa Chopper 4) Doberman Denny vs. Mad Arab – WINNER: Mad Arab NOTE: Doberman Duke ran Mad Arab off after the match after Arab continued to beat Denny. 5) Spunky Sparks vs. Almighty Dolla – WINNER: Spunky Sparks 6) Exotic Rick vs. Chief Buffalo vs. O’Hooligan – WINNER: Exotic Rick NOTE: This match was for the #1 contender for the International title. Valedictorian goaded O’Hooligan to follow him out of the ring and it became a 1 on 1 match. DECEMBER 1980 WEEK 2 ABCW1) Chance Solar/Lazer/Terry Van Winkle vs. Death Star Boy/Roboelectro/Cobalt Commander – WINNER: Solar/Lazer/Van Winkle 2) Succubus is shown in a dark room. She is talking to someone off camera. She says the plan is working out just as they had hoped and soon ABCW will belong to them. 3) Dr. B/Ace Arcadium/Buzzsaw vs. Dark Invader/Slashmaster/Hairy – WINNER: Dark Invader/Slashmaster/Hairy 4) Iron Mask vs. Piranha – WINNER: Iron Mask NOTE: Both men are getting cheers from the crowd, which confuses them. 5) Memphis Prince is interviewed. He talks about how he bleeds, literally and figuratively for ABCW and he won’t rest until the ship is righted and everyone gets what’s coming to them. 6) LADIES TITLE: Madame Tiki © vs. Elfette – WINNER: Elfette NOTE: Members of Chaos locked Auntie Voodoo in the dressing room, preventing her from helping. Succubus hit Tiki with a fire ball to help get the win. RNR1) Waldo the Dweeb vs. Annihilator – WINNER: Annihilator NOTE: The champ makes quick work of Waldo and dares Herman or any of their nerd friends to come out and try to stop him. 2) Max Attack vs. Ruffian – WINNER: Max Attack 3) Jet Set Strutter is interviewed. No other members of the Conglomerate are out with him. 4) Bobby Blitzworth vs. Magnus Muscle – WINNER: Magnus Muscle 5) Mynx cuts a promo, talking about how Aurora was a horrible friend and only kept her down for her whole career. 6) TAG TITLES: Morning Soldiers © vs. Great Ginzu/Vladimir the Cruel – WINNER: Morning Soldiers NOTE: Mighty Leo gets hurt early in the match and is taken to the back. He-Beast somehow is able to come from behind and get the pin and the win. WOW1) Bug Buster vs. O’Hooligan – WINNER: O’Hooligan 2) The Dobermans are in the crowd signing autographs. They take a seat to watch the next match. 3) B-Boys vs. Anti-Americans – WINNER: Double DQ NOTE: The Dobermans get involved in the match and all three teams fight. 4) Juan Tijuana vs. Spazz – WINNER: Spazz 5) Dude Brohan is interviewed. He says that he beat Pierre at the last P4V, and he’ll beat him at the next one, and the next one and the next one until he comes to his senses. 6) WOMEN’S TITLE: Lyndi Harker © vs. Almighty Dolla – WINNER: Lyndi Harker WEEK 2 RATINGS WOW 18.82 RNR 13.69 ABCW 11.22 |

DECEMBER 1980 WEEK 3 ABCW1) Ace Arcadium, Chance Solar, Damon Van Winkle, Dr. B and Madame Tiki open the show in the ring. Their topic is Chaos and how they will defend ABCW for the fans. 2) Bladeblasters vs. Slashmaster/Hairy – WINNER: Bladeblasters NOTE: Chaos debuts this new tag team, dubbed the Nightmares. The Bladeblasters are able to overcome them in the match, but can’t in the post-match attack from them and others from Chaos. 3) Piranha vs. Roboelectro – WINNER: Piranha 4) Big Thugee and Keith Blood attack Terry Van Winkle. Once he is down, Devin Van Winkle walks into view and laughs. He tells Terry he was always the weakest brother. 5) CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE: Skullgore © vs. Red Pirate Rogers – WINNER: Skullgore 6) WORLD TITLE: Dark Invader © vs. Memphis Prince – WINNER: Dark Invader NOTE: Memphis had Dark Invader on the ropes and looked like he was going to win the match. The lights went out and when they came back up, Memphis was on his back in the middle of the ring and Dark Invader was standing over him. The ring was surrounded by all the members of Chaos and the show ends as soon as the ref counts the pin. RNR1) Nerd Alert (Waldo/Herman) vs. Annihilator – WINNER: Annihilator NOTE: Annihilator continued to assault the members of Nerd Alert after the match. Jobber Joe runs down and isn’t able to stop it. Teeny Norman runs down with a chair and hits Annihilator multiple times in the back. He is able to distract the champ long enough for his friends to escape. He follows quickly behind. 2) Teeny Norman vs. Cutthroat Carter – WINNER: Teeny Norman NOTE: Annihilator rushes the ring after, but Norman is able to once again escape the champ. 3) Average Guy is interviewed. He talks about old school wrasslin’ and making friends of enemies and enemies of friends. He may be drunk. 4) Jet Set Strutter cuts a promo about how he is disappointed in how the Conglomerate has been operating lately and that there may have to be a change soon. 5) Stuntmen (Crash/Rad Racer) vs. Muscle Men (Pat Cabbage/Magnus Muscle) – WINNER: Stuntmen 6) Aurora vs. Mynx – WINNER: Mynx NOTE: After the match, the Conglomerate comes out. El Presidente holds up Aurora and Mynx hits her with a stiff kick. Aurora falls and Mynx picks her up. She holds her and El Presidente gets ready to give her a kick. Jet Set Strutter comes out and steps in front of El Presidente. He tells him, and the rest of the group, that they do not stoop so low as to hit a defenseless woman. Mynx lets Aurora drop. They all leave the ring together, but there is tension. WOW1) Valedictorian vs. Chief Buffalo – WINNER: Valedictorian 2) Exotic Rick is a guest in O’Hooligan’s pub. They are talking about women mostly, with Rick focused on Reptile Ranger’s wife. 3) B-Boys (Zap/Boombox) vs. Anti-Americans (Hammerhead/Mad Arab) – WINNER: Anti-Americans 4) Haka Tonga vs. Doberman Denny – WINNER: Doberman Denny NOTE: Denny won the match by count-out after a live shot of the Executors attacking Dicky Thunderbird is shown and Tonga leaves the ring to rescue his partner. 5) Tonga finds Thunderbird out cold in the back after the attack on him by the champs pay 4 view challengers. 6) LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Chameleon Kid © vs. Pelvis Pressly – WINNER: Pelvis Pressly NEW CHAMP NOTE: A mixup between Kid and Soul Daddy ends up costing Kid the belt. DECEMBER 1980 WEEK 4 PAY 4 VIEW ABCW1) Chance Solar vs. Roboelectro vs. Skullgore – WINNER: Roboelectro NOTE: Solar just couldn’t overcome the two members of Chaos, falling to Roboelectro. 2) TAG TITLES: Bladeblasters © vs. The Nightmares (Hairy/Slashmaster) – WINNER: The Nightmares NEW CHAMPS NOTE: This match was, per wrestling experts, the most brutal match of the year. The crowd alternated between loving the fight and being frightened by the amount of blood all the competitors were losing. 3) Terry Van Winkle vs. Keith Blood – WINNER: Keith Blood NOTE: Before the match began, Devin Van Winkle came out and attacked Terry. Terry refused to fight back and took a hell of a beating. 4) TV TITLE: Ace Arcadium © vs. Cobalt Commander – WINNER: Ace Arcadium 5) HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Dark Invader © vs. Dr. B – WINNER: Dark Invader NOTE: This match was originally supposed to go on last, but Piranha and Death Star Boy did not show. Dr. B is injured during the match and they finish quicker than expected. 6) Succubus comes out to the ring. She is followed by all the members of Chaos, including the just-arrived Death Star Boy. She demands that Mr. Greenhorn come out, or the violent nature of her charges will spill “beyond the ring.” Greenhorn comes out, stopping just outside the curtain. He asks what she wants. She replies “Simple. The head of Chaos wants to control ABCW.” “I thought you were the head?.” “No, you foolish little man, I am the heart.” “What if I say no to your little threat?” Smoke fills the ring. When it clears, The Schmuck is in front of Succubus, unconscious. Slashmaster picks him up and piledrives him. Hairy then chokeslams him. Dark Invader then picks him up and Greenhorn finally speaks. “Stop!” “We won’t stop,” Succubus replies. “Not until every man, woman and child associated with ABCW ends up like the Schmuck.” Just then Memphis Prince comes out to a huge pop. He asks for and is given Greenhorn’s mic. “Succubus, you come out here and talk a hell of a game. Instead of demanding control, why don’t you and your goons try to come take it?” “I’m intrigued, what are you proposing?” “Simple really. Nine matches. Five singles and four tag teams. Our best against yours. First group to 5 wins, takes control of ABCW.” Greenhorn leans in “Memphis, are you sure about this?” “Boss, we got this. You can trust me.” Greenhorn then looks to Succubus “What do you say.” She smiles. “Challenge accepted.”
RNR1) Average Guy vs. Ruffian vs. Troglo – WINNER: Average Guy 2) TAG TITLES: Morning Soldiers © vs. Great Ginzu/Vladimir the Cruel –WINNER: Ginzu/Vladimir NEW CHAMPS NOTE: Mynx came out with the other members of the Conglomerate and after the match, slapped He-Beast. She goes to slap him again and Leo stops her. He then turns to He-Beast and gives him a vicious clothesline. Mighty Leo is now a part of the Conglomerate. 3) Michael T. Wolf vs. Warhawk – WINNER: Michael T. Wolf NOTE: Mighty Leo and Mynx come down to the ring during the match. Wolf appears to be arguing with them. Warhawk joins in yelling at them to leave. Wolf looks at Warhawk and proceeds to kick him in the groin. He gets the pin and the win and leaves the ring to hug Leo and Mynx. Michael T. Wolf is now a part of the Conglomerate. 4) UNITED STATES TITLE: El Presidente © vs. Fireball – WINNER: El Presidente 5) Jet Set Strutter and Mynx come out to be interviewed. Mynx talks for a moment about how the additions of Mighty Leo and Michael T. Wolf will take them to the next level. Strutter interrupts and says that he never approved of this and the Conglomerate is supposed to be all hand-picked, the best of the best. Mynx agrees and says that’s why we are no longer the Conglomerate, we are Global Domination. Mighty Leo and Michael T. Wolf come out and stand behind Mynx. Strutter laughs and says he still outnumbers them and calls Ginzu, Presidente and Vladimir out. They stand behind Strutter. Mynx smiles and simply says “attack.” Strutter is hit from behind by Ginzu and all five men beat Strutter down until all the officials come out and pull them away. 6) HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Annihilator © vs. Ninja Star – WINNER: Annihilator WOW1) Doberman Denny vs. Hammerhead vs. O’Hooligan – WINNER: Doberman Denny 2) TAG TITLE: Island Brothers © vs. Executors – WINNER: Executors NEW CHAMPS NOTE: The challengers were aided by Hammerhead, who took out Haka Tonga behind the refs back. 3) Valedictorian vs. Mr. Tycoon – WINNER: Mr. Tycoon NOTE: O’Hooligan played a role in getting the win for Tycoon. 4) INTERNATIONAL TITLE: Reptile Ranger © vs. Exotic Rick – WINNER: Reptile Ranger NOTE: Rick and Ranger’s wife appeared to be fairly openly flirting in the match. Ranger got a little aggressive with his wife, and the crowd began to boo him for it. 5) The B-Boys (Zap, Boombox, Soul Daddy, and Chameleon Kid) boast that 1981 will be a party year and also a very successful one for them. 6) HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Dude Brohan © vs. Pierre the Enormous – WINNER: Dude Brohan NOTE: After the match, Pierre stands and gets in Brohan’s face. After a tense moment, he extends his hand to shake. After the two shake, Pierre leaves the ring. WEEK 4 RATINGS

LATE DECEMBER 1980
SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO Wrestlers from ABCW, RNR and WOW have all gathered for the year end award ceremony/ultimate tournament. Mr. Fantasy, Mr. Codger and Mr. Greenhorn are all gathered in the owner’s box as the wrestlers take seats in the stadium. There is a podium set up where the ring would normally be. Mr. Codger: Congrats on your ratings win there, Fantasy. Mr. Fantasy: Thanks old friend. Solid effort in getting that second place spot. Gave me a good run for my money. Mr. Greenhorn: Hey, we weren’t that far behind. Mr. Fantasy: You were solidly in the top three junior, so good job! (starts laughing) Mr. Greenhorn: You won’t be laughing when ABCW wins the tournament and I get to poach two of your guys. Both Fantasy and Codger start laughing now. Mr. Codger: Son, you are crazier than a horned owl on a full moon. Mr. Fantasy: No one knows what the hell you are talking about Codger. Let’s watch the first award Radio personality Rex Spectrum is at the podium. He is presenting the award for Most Hated Wrestler. Spectrum: The nominees are: From WOW, the Almighty Dolla! From RNR, Jet Set Strutter! And from ABCW, Slashmaster! Mr. Greenhorn: Almighty Dolla is your most hated? Mr. Fantasy: That’s right! Unlike you and your little fed, we at the WOW don’t have the need to rely on gimmick matches and force fed heels. Our product happens naturally. Spectrum: The winner is… Jet Set Strutter! Strutter comes up to the podium and accepts the award. He talks for a bit about how he couldn’t have done it without strong faces against him like Average Guy. Mr. Codger: Well, would you look at that. Score one for RNR. Mr. Greenhorn: Good job following up on that by turning him face. Mr. Codger: Just wait son, you’re looking at next year’s winner for most popular. Spectrum is now announcing the award for Tag Team of the year. Spectrum: The nominees are; The Morning Soldiers, The Bladeblasters and The Anti-Americans. The winner is… The Anti-Americans! Hammerhead and Mad Arab come up. Mother Russia is there too and she does most of the talking. Mr. Fantasy: Here we go, this is what gets the butts in seats. Spectrum: The nominees for Most Popular wrestler are: Ace Arcadium, Dude Brohan and Average Guy. The winner is… Dude Brohan! Mr. Greenhorn: How is he the most popular? He does like three moves! Mr. Codger: Merch son. He may be one dimensional, but he has a Saturday morning cartoon for cripes sake. The kids love him. Spectrum: And for the last award of the night, Wrestler of the Year, the nominees are: Valedictorian, Jet Set Strutter and Slashmaster. Mr. Codger: See, Brohan is nowhere near this list. Mr. Fantasy: Hey now, if Dude wanted to be the best wrestler in the world, he could in a heartbeat. He is fine with being the best Sports Entertainer. Mr. Greenhorn: That’s not even a thing. Spectrum: And the winner is… Slashmaster! Mr. Greenhorn: Well, gents. I may have gotten 3rd in the ratings this year, but I’ll make a promise to you now; It won’t happen again. I’ll see you both at the tournament. |

The Ultimate Tournament, 1980 San Juan, Puerto Rico RULES: 1) The top 22 most used wrestlers from ABCW, RNR and WOW are eligible for a spot in the tournament. 2) Of those 66, the 64 with the best Win/Loss record make the field. 3) The wrestlers are ranked by overall Win/Loss record and then split into groups of 8. 4) Winners in each round move on in the tournament and their federation gets points. The points are distributed as follows: a) Round 1: 1 point b) Round 2: 2 points c) Round 3: 4 points d) Round 4: 8 points e) Round 5: 16 points f) Winner: 32 points 5) The federation with the most points at the end gets to take a wrestler from 2nd and 3rd place and replace them with two of their own. 2nd place gets to do the same to 3rd place. |
