Agreed. The only new gimmick I unlocked was Richie Billions, just for the couple with Eliza, and I had to spent 120K just to train him because other than the point from the company he hasn't increased at all in almost 4 years. So far I have 2 of my roster on Max Skill points. I have noone on max Mic or Pop so I have started to buy the odd skit and/or mic spot to give more varience and see if this changes anything. I have spent nothing on training however it was my understanding that training in MMW used in-game currency, not tokens like 8MWR? Yes uses in-game money to purchase points in Skill, Mic, and Pop. The price of each point is based on the wrestler's status, i.e. openers points are $5k yet Main Eventers points are $40k. I've been able to get mic and pop points from using the purchased mic spots and skits added to, if possible, event cards. The higher the rating for the spot seems to make it more likely to get a point. Making sure to use the right type of wrestler to the corresponding skit cards makes a big difference, such as Comedic Sketch is bonus to Showman, Ghoulie, and Hulk, so I use those types in the skit. Also on mic spots, I use the ones that can use multiple wrestlers, and ensure I use at least one big mouth or showman to help increase the rating, and event cards when I can. Skill points seem as common as they did in 80sMWR to me. The more I use a wrestler on shows, and constantly matching them against wrestlers with similar skill and push numbers, seems to help there too.

It sounds wierd to say, but whenever i get a new card, they magically gain skill, mic and pop points with ease for a short while before slowly resulting to nothing. Like yesterday i got swish. First promo got a point, first match got a point. Two weeks later another point. Base roster is pretty much non existent for points. Only maxed one person thus far and that was due to paying got some points.
Im not against making it slightly harder than the previous game, but this feels abit too heavy, especially with the fact we have to continuously attempt to raise some people if we wish for them to be higher in the food chain. It is only beta so perhaps rates aint fine tuned properly.

I guess it's just me, but feels like the same rate as 80SMWR; After years of playing it I still have merch cards I haven't collected, and not due to a lack of trying repeatedly. The requirements to get a merch card in 80sMWR are the same as the requirements to get the ability to unlock an alt in MMW, with the exception of paying a token to raise the status first. Maybe when we are able to get merch cards it will feel the same to others as it does to me on the difficulty, but at least on MMW we have the option to pay in-game cash to raise a point, whereas in 80sMWR our only choice is to spend a token to raise a point, and even then it's only when we are short of maxing the attribute by 1 point.

I mean you do get stuck, especially on the higher end characters, but still doesn't feel as long as this is taking. Like said on the previous page, so many matches from some people yet no points. I'm not wanting everyone to excel, but do want to feel like my efforts of pushing and using someone isn't in vain. I've used intruder in various skits, he gets nothing, but his victims in his backstage assaults get a point xD

Try using him in Dramatic Promo instead and see if he gets a point faster. I tend to get my points better when using the wrestler to the correct style of skit.

I just now started playing on IOS. Everything seems to be in working order except that Kristy Tristan can be used multiple times in promos and skits. I know this was one of the first bugs brought up, but I’m not sure if it was fixed for Android or not.

I know this was one of the first bugs brought up, but I’m not sure if it was fixed for Android or not. There are 6 jobbers in the game that behave similar to Local Talent from 80s Mania. They just happen to have names and personalities (in the event you want them to be Legends or higher).
They are....
Kristy Tristan Molly Oliver Pete Sinclair Sherman Turk Timmy Tough Wally Saratoga

Anyone notice that there's now a "List Page" for Merch. That wasn't there previously...so merchandise is coming!

Even with correct skit matching I dont get much back. I've put the likes of gunslinger and chester blood, even lord evermore in dramatic promo with the words of truth (+10 to mic and pop) card and haven't gained off of it. All I can do is keep on trying I guess. Maybe my luck will turn around some. But best believe its been 2 years since concrete charlie got a skill point, and all I need is 1 more to cap it. I can just pay for the final point which is handy, but I want him to earn it himself.

As well as future wrestlers

So, as someone thats been waiting months for this, and is over-hyped and really excited, first let me say, this game (and 80s Mania) are incredible and I love them both.
That said, since it was brought up in this chat earlier I think this might be the best place to ask. When you use a token to change someones gimmick, I know you can change them back by just spending money. My query is, if you start a New Game+, would you again have to use a token to change their gimmick?

They stay in whatever gimmick you last had them in and it just costs standard currency even on reset to change them back. 10k for me to swap void back into komodo. Not sure if it changes based on status
