Thoughts on the feud system

I'm mixed on it, I like there are more feuds, but I feel like there are TOO many, I also liked the feud cards from 8MWR,hoping they'll be added soon

I'm a little mixed on it, myself. I loved how easy it was to use feud cards to populate a match card in 80s Mania. Having individual cards also made each feud feel unique, and I loved reading the stories.
However, this new system allows for greater variety of feuds, as well as allows you to create your own stories using your imagination. It also makes it easier to jump in and out of feuds, if and when you choose.
In the end, I think I prefer the new system, but I'd still like to have a way to populate the card quickly like in the old one.

I agree with you both. The new system is great, but I did like the old cards.

Maybe there's a way to implement a "Super Feud" system, keeping the current one intact, but then adding cards for the epic Rhodes vs. Flair or Hogan vs. Savage type of conflicts. I wonder if it would be possible to put a time frame on them as well, so maybe they cost X amount to implement, and are then active for a certain amount of in-game time (a year, for example). This would keep them feeling special.

I think that having individual feud cards would provide a lil more backstory and lore to each character. Some people might prefer the creative control to make their own lore, and they can still do that and ignore feud cards.

I think they posted on Twitter a while back that individual feuds were coming at some point in the future.

I kind of wish they had a Hottest Feuds list in the Champions section, to go with On the Rise and Fresh Talent

I'd love for it to have a 2k universe style where the game keeps track of certain things for you and chucks in certain narratives, but doubt we'll ever see that.

I like the new system and feel it has more potential than the old. One thing I would like to see with it though is a way for the non-tagging faction members to join teammates to the ring. I am currently trying to put together and level up The Influencers, then it will be Next Gen.

I enjoy the flexibility of the new system. But with so many references to existing wrestlers it would be nice if there were specific cards for well established recent feuds (Emperor/Lionheart, Murphy/Son of Samoa, Grid Iron/Mack etc)

Also wouldn’t mind a reference to feuds from the 80s games for Slashmaster/Silvergod
