DAY 1

The castaways arrive on the beach, where it is revealed that there will be an immediate immunity challenge, and the first tribal council will happen tonight.

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE

"One tribe member will launch coconuts from a catapult to another tribe member, who will then throw them over a defender to a third tribe member. They will then race across a balance beam, all the while avoiding sandbags being pushed by the opposing tribe, to place the coconut in a Connect Four-style grid. The first tribe to get five coconuts in a line on the grid wins."

The Pwason tribe wins immunity.

DAY 1

PWASON TRIBE

The Pwason tribe is able to focus on the day 1 activities, buidling shelter, starting fire, etc. John appears to be immediately on the outs, because everyone else assumes that he already has enough money, and doesn't need the million dollars from winning Survivor. Elsewhere, Corie suffers a minor burn while trying to start the fire, and while it isn't bad enough to leave the game, it does render her pretty useless for the time being.

CHWAL TRIBE

On Chwal, the story is vastly different, as strategy has to immediately kick in. The guys just want it to be easy and vote off Joanne, as the oldest woman on the tribe. The women however, decide that Eddie should go due to his cocky attitude towards everyone, and although the guys agree, it seems like no one is going to back down.
