Remember when Fandango beat Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania? Damn. who remembers when he was Johnny curtis (or something like that) with a prop pun gimmick I remember Fandango’s initial gimmick as Johnny Curtis! He was going around using chloroform on wrestlers backstage, and locking them in boxes when he was paired up with Maxine. He even stalked Alicia Fox with a chloroform cloth when she rejected him. What a screwed up character that was.

TBH, I’d like to forget the WHOLE modern era (especially the divas revolution, and NXT), and forget that ANY OF IT ever happened. Everything post 2005 has been a detrimental kill shot to the heart of mainstream wrestling.
But that’s just me.
(And I’m not a fan of cosplay wrestling, NJPW, or AEW)

Here’s my opinion/take on wrestling. I love wrestling. I watch everything from my local wrestling show that I go to their events every month to watching people put on custom companies in video games such as the 2k series or fire pro to watching companies like WWE, NJPW, ROH, TNA/Impact, AEW, NWA, and many more. Sure I don’t like what they have to offer all the time but I enjoy it still because I love wrestling. I don’t just watch what they put on now but I go back and watch old shows and old PPVs. The only thing that has “killed” wrestling is the way people prefer how it is presented. If you love wrestling then you wouldn’t hate on a certain part of it. You can dislike it but you shouldn’t hate it. Because in the end of the day it is still wrestling. Just because its not the representation you want it to be, doesn’t mean other people like it or that it isn’t good. That’s why when I see people argue “WWE is better than AEW” or “AEW is better than WWE” I find it dumb because you’re not a fan of wrestling. Your a fan of a certain representation of wrestling. If you were a true fan of wrestling you would appreciate what they do to entertain people and not care on how they do it. But this is just my opinion.

Damien Sandow as Miz’s stunt double is all but forgotten and was absolute comedy gold.
Jericho and Owens in the Festival of Friendship segment may not be completely forgotten, but it is my favorite wrestling segment of all time.
