Since January this year the wrestling world has once again been abuzz about PWN. Their recent relaunch has been a big succes and guys like Alexei Monstro and the Over-Knights have grown into household names in the space of only a couple of months. If they manage to retain this momentum they could possibly become as popular now as they were during their glory days in the 1990s.
To see how the company rose to prominence the first time around I will be reviewing all their pay-per-views during their first run, starting in January 1990 all the way up to December 1999, when they had to close their doors due to the...
Oh, that's right. Spoilers. I guess you'll just have to stay tuned to find out.

In the Beginning...
We begin our journey with the very first pay-per-view in PWN history: Genesis. Rumor has it that some genius in the management team wanted to call it the "Super Duper Show." Yeah, like that's gonna sell tickets...
PWN has been in business for little over 10 years at this point and they recently managed to get themselves a television deal on the tail-end of 1989, which did decent ratings. To get them to the next level they needed a home-run on their first supercard. Did they succeed? Let's find out:
Match 1 Television Championship El Presidente VS Starboy (C)
Starboy first appeared in PWN as a part of a talent exchange program with a certain Mexican promotion they were were working with at the time. The high-flying superstar wasted no time in targeting Mr. Tycoon, who was the TV Champ at the time and relieved him of his championship gold.
Tycoon and Yuppie spent most of the beginning of the year scheming to get the title back, while Starboy started doing an open challenge. At the beginning of Genesis the TV Champ made his way to the ring and waited for the challenger of the day to show his face, but was shocked to find out that he would be fighting his nemesis El Presidente.
Presidente seemed to have a counter for every move Starboy made and managed to ground the high-flying luchador. Just as all hope seemed lost the crowd got behind Starboy and their positive energy gave the champ a second wind. Starboy quickly made his way to the top rope and dazzled his opponent with an array of flashy dives and splashes. Presidente was suddenly on the backfoot, but just as it seemed we would see a Flying Cross Chop a well dressed fan wearing a Starboy mask jumped the guard rail and pushed him off. Presidente wasted no time capitalizing on this opportunity.
Winner and NEW Television Champion: El Presidente ***
Honest Al interviews Mr. Tycoon and Yuppie VP Honest Al is backstage getting ready to conduct an interview with Wall Street, but Yuppie VP isn't here yet. Mr. Tyoon's eyes light up as he sees his tag-team partner comes running toward them with a Starboy mask hanging out of his back pocket. Tycoon notices it and quickly disposes of it. Al asks Tycoon what he thinks about El Presidente becoming the new Television Champion. Both members of Wall Street praise the new champ. They suddenly spot the new champ walking by and the interview ends as they go over to greet him.
****
Match 2 Chicano VS 2-Zap Chicano proved to be a sore loser after going to a time limit draw with Notorious BB. The very next week he would attack him from behind and put the former Boombox on the shelf. Although the two had grown estranged from eachother 2-Zap didn't take kindly to someone attacking his former tag-team partner and demanded a match. He should have given the matter a bit more thought, since he didn't quite match up to Chicano.
Winner: Chicano **
Teeny's Playhouse w/ Lazer Lazer had decided to speak with Teeny Norman about the recent attacks by the Gladiators. He did not know why Brute and Massacre kept on targeting him, but that he would put an end to it soon. Brute and Massacre would then interrupt the interview, but it seems Lazer saw this coming. Flex Deltoid made an impression in his first PWN appearance, as he and Lazer ran the Gladiators of Aethra off.
*****
Match 3 Tag Team Championship Thompson Crew VS Neon Express (C)
The Neon Express were truly the first team of their kind. They popularised the high-flying style that modern day teams like Total Harmony and H2H are known for. This style had as many detractors in the past as there are nowadays, chief among them were the Thompson Crew. Otto and Strongarm were old-school through and through and were not about to let these snot-nosed kids steal their spotlight.
In a surprisingly even contest experience eventually beat out youth and the Thompsons walked away with the win. This had the makings of a five star match, but there were several mis-communications which brought the grade down. If these two teams meet again I expect the result to be a whole lot better.
Winner and NEW Tag Team Champions: The Thompson Crew ***
Match 4 World Championship Buzzsaw VS Dr. B (C)
Dr. B has been a revalation as World Champion. After permanently retiring former champion Franz Van Winkle and an amazing win over the longest reigning World Champion Gepetto Rocco the 325 pounder has established himself as a true main eventer. The Dr. claims that he is here to lead PWN into a new age, but Buzzsaw isn't ready to let go of his glory days yet.
Buzzsaw rushes through his signature offense, but his aging body isn't able to much more than that. It is clear that Dr. B is carrying this match, but even he cannot hide all of the All-American's shortcomings. Thankfully this match was kept short and one Clubber later the good doctor stood victorious.
Winner and STILL World Champion: Dr. B **

No Love Lost...
Emanating live from the Chi-Town Complex it's the very first edition of St. Valentine's Day Massacre. One month after their first pay-per-view PWN had more eyes on their product than they ever had before, so the pressure was on to deliver on their second offering.
Match 1 Buzzsaw VS Dizzy Lixx
Buzzsaw was rudderless after losing his championship match against Dr. B and went on a losing streak. Meanwhile the cryptic vignettes that had been airing on weekly TV started to target the All-American Athlete. The mystery person said he would reveal his identity at St. Valentine's Day Massacre, so at the top of the show Buzzsaw would come to the ring and wait.
The person that showed up was none other than Dizzy Lixx and I'm not going to lie, I was a bit disappointed at first. Lixx was primarily known as a tag-team guy and it showed in this match. The one positive to come out of all of this was that Buzzsaw broke out of his rut and picked up the win, putting all this crazy business behind him.
Or so he thought...
Winner: Buzzsaw **
Creepy Vignette
Buzzsaw's music was suddenly cut and a video started playing on the titantron. Four hooded figures march across a graveyard at night, shovels in hand. They stop near a grave and start digging. A few second later one of the shovels hits the lid of the coffin and a bright flash of lightning illuminates the area for a few seconds. We see the name on the tombstone: SLASHMASTER.
Suddenly a hand bursts through the coffin and grabs one of the hooded figures by the throat, choking him out and flinging his lifeless body aside. The coffin opens and the creature inside rises from the grave. He removes the last remnants of the shattered hockey mask from his face and reveals his hideous, disfigured face. The former Slashmaster stares directly into the camera and the video ends. Buzzsaw is left in the ring, looking perplexed.
*****
Match 2 Countess VS Princess Starbright
The Ladies Champion Princess Starbright. made her grand entrance, but was attacked from behind by the Countess. The champion would be thrown into the ringpost, put through an announcer's table and beaten down with a folding chair before the first bell rang.
Countess would then shove the unconcious body of Starbright into the ring and force the referee to start the match. As soon as the bell rang Countess went for the pin and picked up the win in what was and still is the shortest match in PWN history. This was a non-title match so no gold changed hands here, but it put Countess firmly at the front of the line for a title shot.
Winner: Countess *
Match 3 Tag Team Championship Gage Guyz VS Thompson Crew
Everyone who watches PWN now knows the Gage Guyz, but at this point in time they were still in the infancy of their careers. They made an immeadiate impact when they made their debut on the first episode of Ignition in February, as they put on the company's first 5-star match against the Grunge Brothers. They followed this up with a (not exactly clean) win over former champions the Neon Express and managed to secure a shot at the title in their first month in the company.
Rager and Tatters fought valiantly, but the experience edge proved to be vital once again as the Thompsons picked up another win and extended their reign.
Winners and STILL Tag Team Champions: Thompson Crew ***
Match 4 Jet Set Strutter VS Jesse Wild
The reason the Gage Guyz beat the Neon Express was because it was essentially a handicap match. Chet Skye was taken out by Jet Set Strutter early on, leaving Jesse Wild to fight two opponents on his own. The Neon Expressionist wanted his revenge on the leader of the Gold Club and challenged him to a match at the pay-per-view.
Strutter underestimated his opponent in the opening minutes and it almost cost him dearly, with Wild getting dangerously close to a three count. The veteran would step up his game make multiple attempts to lock in the Six-Figure Leglock, eventually making his opponent tap. After the match Chet Skye returned from injury and it looks like Strutter has his next opponent lined up for him.
Winner: Jet Set Strutter
**
Match 5 Brimstone VS Teeny Norman
Brimstone has made it no secret why he joined the PWN roster: he wants to destroy Red Pirate Rogers. He feels like the current Cruiserweight Champion is disrespecting lucha culture by performing under a mask. This is why it enfuriated him that Teeny Norman sang the champ's praises on his talkshow. Brimstone dominated throughout the match and managed to extend his winning streak to 7-0.
Winner: Brimstone ***
Dramatic Promo: Red Pirate Rogers
Rogers appears on the stage with a microphone in hand. He had not responded to Brimstone's comments until now, but has some things to say. He does not wear his mask to disrespect anyone or to hide anything. He was trained by the greatest luchadors in history and wears his signature red hood to honor them. He says that Brimstone has more than earned a shot at the gold, so if he has any issues with Rogers they can settle it in the ring.
***
Match 6 The Gladiators of Aethra VS Lazer & Flex
It has all come to this. After months of sneak attacks and ambushes Lazer and Flex Deltoid finally get their chance to deal with the Gladiators in a fair two on two fight. Massacre starts in the ring, but tags out when he realises he is over-powered by the two specimens in the opposite corner. Brute throws both Lazer and Flex around like they are ragdolls, but is worn down by a series of quick tags and double team manouvers. The Gladiators then turn to their usual dirty tactics, but by this point Lazer and Flex have seen it all and fight their way through it.
Winners: Lazer & Flex ***
Match 7 World Championship Chicano VS Big Rig VS Dr. B
Chicano got on the World Champion's bad side by making the perplexing decision to steal some of his gold chains. The Doctor wanted to get his hands on Chicano, but the so-called "Good Guy" would refuse. Dr. B then went as far as to put his title on the line, but Chicano still didn't take the bait. It wasn't untill B let him pick the stipulation of their championship match that a contract was signed.
At the start of the match Chicano revealed the stipulation: This would be a triple threat! Big Rig made his PWN debut and joined his fellow Insider in the ring. The two focused all their attention on Dr. B at the start of the match, not letting him get any offence in. Big Rig then went for the cover, but Chicano pulled him off. At this point what was essentially a handicap match would turn into a real triple threat as Chicano and Big Rig came to blows. Rig proved to be the tougher competitor of the two and had Chicano dead to rights, only to be attacked from behind. The Doctor went for the flash pinfall on Chicano and walked out the winner, but Big Rig would get back to his feet and stare him down as the show went off the air.
Winner and STILL World Champion: Dr. B **

We're All Mad Here...
After the success of the first two pay-per-views PWN announced that they would host their biggest show yet in April. The first edition of Champ Clash would be held in the world famous Silver Stadium and to assure that the show would get the best main event the commissioner had organised the March Madness tournament.
Eight of the promotion's best would face off in a single elimination tournament, the winner of which would get to challenge the World Champion in the main event of Champ Clash.
Match 1 First Round Match Lazer VS Flex Deltoid
The two friends shake hands and proceed with a collar and elbow tie-up. This match was a straight forward affair in which each competitor got chances to shine and showcase their immense strenght and technical prowess. Lazer walked away with the win, but this one could have gone either way.
Winner: Lazer ***
Match 2 First Round Match Starboy VS Massacre
Ahead of his Television Championship rematch Starboy has been offered to opportunity to compete for an even greater prize. His opponent Massacre is always known to be ruthless, but tonight he seemed especially vicious, seemingly taking great delight in doling out punishment to the former TV Champ.
Winner: Massacre ***
Match 3 First Round Match Tatters Gage VS Mr. Tycoon
When Starboy found himself outnumbered against 3 opponents in Mr. Tycoon, Yuppie VP and Television Champion El Presidente the Gage Guyz came to his aid. Tatters managed to get a pinfall win over Mr. Tycoon in a six-man tag match, so naturally the richest man in professional wrestling was out for revenge.
In a match that saw plenty of interference and run-ins, which greatly hurt the quality of the match, Tatters Gage fell victim to a flash pinfall.
Winner: Mr. Tycoon *
Match 4 First Round Match Jet Set Strutter VS Buzzsaw
Buzzsaw is clearly out of sorts at the beginning of the match. For months he has been haunted by the spectre of the newly christened Undermaster and it's causing him to be more tired and paranoid than he's ever been. Despite all this he still managed to overpower Jet Set Strutter. It isn't untill ominous music starts playing and Buzzsaw gets distracted that Strutter gets to capitalize and win.
Moments later it is revealed that the ominous music wasn't the Undermaster at all, but a ploy by the Thompson Crew. The three members of the Gold Club hug and laugh before Strutter walks to the commentary position.
Winner: Jet Set Strutter ***
Match 5 Tag Team Championship Neon Express VS Thompson Crew (C)
With the champions already in the ring the Neon Express make their grand entrance. From the opening bell it becomes apparant that both team have grown a lot since their first encounter in January. The chemistry between these two teams is off the charts and it would have been a perfect match if Jet Set Strutter had not gotten himself involved.
Double Disqualification ****
Match 6 Semi-Final Match Lazer VS Massacre
Lazer and Massacre renew hostilities in the first semi-final match and by this point the two could have a decent match together if they were blindfolded. Despite having given it their all in the first round these two seem to have been re-energized during their short break. After the first 10 minutes it's Massacre that starts showing signs of fatigue and Lazer walks away with the victory.
Winner: Lazer ***
Match 7 Semi-Final Match Mr. Tycoon VS Jet Set Strutter
Jet Set Strutter played the de-facto face in this confrontation between the dirtiest players in the game. Tycoon employed every underhanded tactic that he had learned over the course of his long and prosperous career, but Strutter had a counter to everything that was thrown at him. The crowd erupted in cheers when the Six-Figure Leglock was locked in, but Strutter cut a quick promo that reminded the people what an arrogant jerk he truely is.
Winner: Jet Set Struttter ***
Match 8 World Championship Big Rig VS Dr. B (C)
While Big Rig lost the match at St. Valentine's Day Massacre he wasn't pinned or submitted, so he felt entitled to another shot at the champion. Dr. B wasn't keen on granting his request, but after the diesel-powered dominator won a number one contender's match there was nothing he could do to dodge this fight.
The two behemoths went punch for punch and hold for hold in the opening minutes, but neither man could get the upper hand. This caused B to change up his tactics. At first he would resort to top rope manouvers, which clearly weren't his strong suit and gave Rig an opening that he ultimately failed to capitalize on. The Doctor shocked friend and foe when he would start showing some technical prowess and tapped Big Rig out.
Winner and STILL World Champion: Dr. B **
Match 9 March Madness Finals Lazer VS Jet Set Strutter
Lazer and Jet Set Strutter took two very different paths to the finals. Where Lazer fought two grueling battles against strong, capable opponents, Strutter took the easy path and cheated his way to the top. Strutter quickly realised that the two previous matches had taken a lot out of Lazer and in a moment of over-confindence he instructed the Thompsons to go to the back and let him deal with this on his own. This proved to be his undoing as Lazer got a second wind and caught Strutter in the Lazerlock.
Winner: Lazer ***

There is no bigger show in PWN than Champ Clash. It was the first big event the fledgling promotion put on in and this year, for the first time ever, it is being broadcast live on pay-per-view.
A lot of the companies biggest storylines get wrapped up at this event, while a whole host of others get started. How did Champ Clash 1990 fare? Let's have a look:
Match 1 PWN Television Championship Tatters Gage VS El Presidente (C)
Ever since El Presidente won the Television Championship from Starboy at the start of the year the egos of all three members of Wall Street have been out of control. The rich ruffians would use their superior numbers to their advantage in every single one of Presidente's title defences and would usually follow it up by verbally running down their "lower class scum" opponents.
The Gage Guyz did not take kindly to these harsh words and would oppose them. Tatters Gage managed to pick up singles victories over Yuppie VP and Mr. Tycoon to get into title contention.
This match would get the show off to a hot start, but it soon devolved into an over-booked mess. We had run-ins by Mr. Tycoon, Yuppie VP, Rager Gage, the former TV champ Starboy and the Gladiators of Aethra. PWN's decision to get everyone on the card really hurt what could have been an exceptional match.
Winner and NEW Television Champion: Tatters Gage *
Backstage Segment
Curt and Eddie Grunge have been watching the opening match on a monitor backstage. They are approached by Cadaver, who has been making sporadic appearances on PWN TV, usually talking to down on their luck wrestlers. Cadaver says he admires the Grunge Brothers, he applauds them for their part in the first televised 5-star match in PWN history and says they deserve better. Cesar Sleaze walks in and whispers something in Cadaver's ear and the two walk off, but not before reminding Curt and Eddie that there is always a place for them in the Congregation.
****
Match 2 PWN World's Tag Team Championship Submission Match Neon Express VS Thompson Crew
The Thompsons and Neon Express have face off for the titles twice before and delivered in each encounter. This time is no different. Chet and Jessie have something to prove and come out of the gate hot. A flurry of fast, high-flying moves dazzles their opponents, but it wouldn't be enough to keep the Thompsons down for long. Otto would be the one to regain momentum for his team and grind Jessie to a halt. While Strongarm kept Skye at a distance his tag team partner would be made to tap.
Winners and STILL World's Tag Team Champions: Thompson Crew ****
Match 3 Jet Set Strutter VS Flex Deltoid
Jet Set Strutter has been trying to get into the mind of Flex Deltoid, trying to turn him against his tag-team partner Lazer. So far, he has been unsuccesful and it shows in this match. Deltoid isn't holding anything back and lays in heavy kicks and punches that instantly bruise Strutter's skin.
With no one at ringside to help him Strutter has to rely on his submission offence to get one over on his opponent. He tries to slap on the Six-Figure LegLock, but Deltoid's legs are too big and muscular. Flex escapes the hold, picks up his foe and slams him into the mat.
Winner: Flex Deltoid ***
Match 4 PWN Cruiserweight Championship Brimstone VS Tonto Loco VS Red Pirate Rogers (C)
Brimstone has taken great exception to Red Pirate Rogers' choice to wrestle under a mask. He has turned all luchadors on the roster against Rogers, but none of them have been able to beat the champ in singles competition. With the odds now stacked against Rogers. in this triple threat match Brimstone is more confident than ever and attacks the champion with reckless abandon. He never considered that he would have to watch his back and definitely didn't expect Tonto Loco to roll him up.
Winner and NEW Cruiserweight Champion: Tonto Loco **
Shocking Debut
Brimstone is beside himself with anger and attacks his former ally. With Tonto now unconcious Brimstone starts loosening the luchador's mask and attempts to remove it. Suddenly some unfamiliar high energy music starts playing and Brimstone is stopped in his tracks. The lucha libre legend Magnifico runs in and hits a Magnificarana on Brimstone. Magnifico helps Tonto Loco back to his feet and raises the champion's hand as his music starts playing.
**
Match 5 PWN Ladies World Championship Aurora VS Countess (C)
The war between the Queens of the Ring and the Cimmerternians continues in this championship match. Valkyrie was scheduled to face Countess, but got taken out by Queen of Mean on the go-home show before Champ Clash. Aurora has taken her sister's place and is giving the reigning Ladies World Champion a run for her money in the opening minutes.
Countess and Aurora have faced eachother many times before and are very evenly matched under normal circumstances. In this match Countess would have the slight edge, as her tag-team partner Queen of Mean is running interference at ringside. Aurora had a visible three-count over the champion, but the ref missed it. What the referee also missed was Queen of Mean jamming her crown in Aurora's eyes when the official's back was turned.
Winner and STILL Ladies World Champion: Countess **
Match 6 Buzzsaw VS Undermaster
After months of build-up and all the hype in the world this one felt a bit deflating. I know I shouldn't have expected a 5-star classic out of the former Slashmaster after a year of absence and it makes sense for PWN to book him in a short squash match. Maybe these two can have a better match once Undermaster loses some of his ring rust.
Winner: Undermaster *
Match 7 PWN World's Heavyweight Championship Lazer VS Dr. B (C)
Lazer has been on an absolute tear in 1990 and is yet to lose a match. His winning streak has taken him all the way through the March Madness tournament and placed him in the main event of the biggest event of the year. His opponent, Dr. B, has been equally impressive. The World's Heavyweight Champion has racked up victories over highly skilled opponents such as Buzzsaw, Big Rig and Chicano.
Expectations for this match were at an all-time high and both men more than delivered. The Doctor put on the best match of his entire reign. A perfect end to his reign and an amazing start of the age of Lazer.
Winner and NEW World's Heavyweight Champion: Lazer

Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Compete Here...
I want to start out this review by giving a shout out to my Patreon backers Dyno and Shock Pillman. These deep-dives into PWN history would not be possible without your generous donations.
How do you follow up the biggest show of the year? By raising the stakes. On the first ever Monster Mayhem card PWN would schedule a bunch of matches with dangerous stipulations that did wonders for their ratings, but also injured a substantial part of their roster. Fortunately none of the competitors involved missed a lot of time, with most of them returning to active competition within a month.
Fun fact: The casket match between Buzzsaw and Undermaster that took place on the go-home episode of Ignition was originally scheduled for this pay-per-view. Rumor has it that the promoter got cold feet due to them stinking up the joint at Champ Clash and put it on free TV instead. Joke's on him though, as Buzzsaw and Undermaster put on a solid 4-star match.
Match 1 PWN Ladies World Championship Weapons Match Aurora VS Countess (C)
After beating Queen of Mean on the go-home episode of Ignition the challenger Aurora got to choose the stipulation for this match. The Weapons match played to both women's strenghts, as they are not only amazing wrestlers, but also proficient sword fighters.
At the start of the match both ladies bailed out of the ring and retrieved kendo sticks. What followed was a stellar performance involving a lot of blocking, parrying and the occasional hit would even draw blood from both ladies. Countess would take full advantage of the lack of rules and pulled out a bag with a strange powder that she threw into her opponent's eyes. With Aurora blinded the momentum of the match shifted in the champ's favor and it would lead her to another title retention.
Winner and STILL Ladies Champion: Countess
****
Twisted Theatre
Cadaver had finally agreed to give an interview and unveil his intentions. After Honest Al was accosted by his followers after his last attempt to do so a different interviewer was selected for the task. Cue the debut of the "Host with the Most" Ichabod Twist, who would become a PWN staple in years to come.
Twist would get answers out of his guest quite easily and Cadaver revealed that he formed his Congregation to give a home to wrestlers like himself. Wrestlers that were supremely talented, but didn't quite fit the PWN mold. He pledged to push his followers to new heights and make sure that the company could no longer overlook them.
*****
Match 2
Cadaver's Congregation (Cesar Sleaze, Curt Grunge & Eddie Grunge) VS The Neon Express & Rager Gage
Sleaze and the Grunges have been undefeated ever since alligning with Cadaver. Most of their victories have come over Chet Skye and Jessie Wild and the Congregation is looking to extend their winning streak tonight against the Neon Express and their mystery partner. At the time it was a bit of letdown to see that it was Rager Gage instead of a debuting or returning star, but looking back at it now it made perfect sense.
It was a foregone conclusion that the Congregation would win here and keep their momentum going, which impacted the match's overall score, but it was an entertaining bout nonetheless.
Winners: Cadaver's Congregation **
Match 3 PWN Television Championship Ladder Match El Presidente VS Tatters Gage (C)
Tatters Gage defends his championship against an opponent he has beaten before in a match type that strongly favors him. What could go wrong, right? Well, everything apparently. El Presidente and Tatters had already shown to have little to no chemistry in their previous encounter and the trend continued here at Monster Mayhem.
It seemed that even El Presidente was surprised as he unhooked the title and won back his championship. In the years that followed there has been a lot of debate about if he was meant to win here. It wasn't until last year that Tatters Gage would admit on a podcast that he was meant to retain here.
Winner and NEW Television Champion; El Presidente **
Creepy Vignette
Undermaster is standing in a dark room, before him lies the casket that contains the body of Buzzsaw. He praises his fallen opponent for his determination and fighting spirit, but says that he has to move on to bigger things. Two imposing figures walk into shot and kneel before Undermaster. He instructs the men to take the coffin out of the room, referring to them only as "8" and "9."
*****
Match 4 PWN World's Tag Team Championship The Insiders VS Thompson Crew (C)
After failing to get their hands on the World's Heavyweight Championship the friendship between Chicano and Big Rig deteriorated to the point that the two men would come to blows. After their one on one confrontation the two seemed to have worked out their differences and got along again, setting their sights on the tag team gold.
It didn't take long to see that their issues had still not fully been resolved. Frequent miscommunications and a refusal to tag their partner in would cost them the match. It seemed like the Insiders could have used a manager at ringside, or a leader with a gameplan.
Winners and STILL Tag Team Champions: Thompson Crew **
Match 5 Tables Match Flex Deltoid VS Dr. B
When Lazer became the PWN World's Heavyweight Champion at Champ Clash he would offer the first shot at the title to his friend and tag-team partner Flex Deltoid. A contract signing was scheduled for Ignition, but before Deltoid could put pen to paper Dr. B arrived and put him through the table.
Jet Set Strutter would urge Deltoid to deal with B before accepting the title match and Flex would listen to the veteran's advice. Dr. B would come out of the gates hot, fueled by anger and frustration. His intensity in the opening stretch would end up costing him in the end, as Deltoid pounced on him as he was catching his breath. The sturdy announcers table would explode into a cloud of splinters and sawdust as the former World's Champion's body was driven through it.
Winner: Flex Deltoid ***
Match 6 PWN World's Heavyweight Championship Jet Set Strutter VS Lazer (C)
With both Flex and Dr. B occupied there was a vacancy at the top of the card and the ever shrewd Jet Set Strutter would step up to challenge the new champion. Struttter had clearly learned from their previous encounter in the March Madness main event, as he had developed a counter to the Lazerlock.
Lazer switched up his gameplan mid-match and would start relying on his power game a lot more. A plethora of suplexes, spinebusters and powerbombs would re-arrange the spine of the Strutter untill he no longer had the energy to kick out.
Winner and STILL World's Heavyweight Champion: Lazer ***

Double Trouble...
Despite being a commercial succes the fallout of Monster Mayhem put PWN in a difficult position. Both Lazer and El Presidente got injured at the event and with Summer Smash on the horizon they couldn't afford to have their momentum get stopped in its tracks.
The higher-ups made the decision to book an event focused solely on the flourishing tag team division and what a decision it was. The winners would get a title shot at Summer Smash.
Match 1 First Round Match Wall Street VS Gage Guyz Tatters is still owed a rematch for the Television Championship, but with El Presidente on the shelf the Gage Guyz have to take their anger out on the other members of Wall Street. Rager and Tatters seem to have their opponent's number as they beat them in tag team competition yet again.
Winners: Gage Guyz ***
Match 2 First Round Match Grunge Brothers VS Neon Express The Grunge Brothers are still undefeated since joining Cadaver's Congregation, but tonight they face their biggest test to date: taking on former tag team champions the Neon Express in a straight up two on two match. Cadaver and Cesar Sleaze are at ringside and get involved every time Chet and Jessie start building some momentum. Curt and Eddie had their problems with such tactics in the past, but are all too eager to capitalize on such opportunities in this match.
Winners: Grunge Brothers **
Match 3 First Round Match The Gladiators of Aethra VS Magnifico & Tonto Loco Brute and Massacre have been targeting the cruiserweight division for months now. They have taken out former champion Red Pirate Rogers, Blizzard, Brimstone and it is unknown if former TV champion Starboy will ever be cleared to compete again. To stop the onslaught the current Cruiserweight Champion Tonto Loco and the number one contender Magnifico have joined forces.
The two have teamed up before in the past and work together quite well, running circles around the much slower Gladiators.
Winners: Magnifico & Tonto Loco **
Match 4 First Round Match The Insiders VS Toxic Terror The Insiders had developed a bad habit of losing whenever it mattered most, coming up short in their shots for both the World and Tag Team Championships. To get some heat back onto them they targeted the biggest dog in the yard, the Undermaster, and took him out with a cowardly attack.
In a series of promos and vignettes Undermaster revealed that he had some allies that would be making their PWN debut very soon. In this first round match Toxic Terror would make an immeadiate impact by squashing Rig and Chicano in under a minute.
Winners: Toxic Terror *
Match 5 PWN Ladies World Championship Valkyrie VS Countess (C) It might have been a bad decision to book two squash matches back to back, as the crowd didn't really react all that well to Valkyrie's big win here.
Winner and NEW Ladies Champion: Valkyrie *
Match 6 Semi-Final Match Gage Guyz VS Grunge Brothers In their previous encounter the Gage Guyz beat the Grunge Brothers in what would be the company's first ever five-star match. Fans were buzzing to see if they could put on another spectacle, but this match failed to re-capture that lightning in a bottle. Both the Grunges and Gages gave it their all, but the interference by Cadaver and Cesar Sleaze impacted the match quality. Nevertheless, this was still a solid bout.
Winners: Grunge Brothers ***
Match 7 Semi-Final Match Magnifico & Tonto Loco VS Toxic Terror Magnifico and Tonto Loco already put away some bigger and stronger opponents in their first round match, so it made sense for them to take a similar approach against Mutants 8 and 9. They would realise their gameplan was flawed when 8 was completely unfazed by a some stereo dropkicks and a pair of superkicks. After the initial attack by the luchadors it became the Toxic Terror show. The Mutants looked like absolute monsters when they threw their opponents around like ragdolls.
Winners: Toxic Terror **
Gold Club Expansion Strutter and the Thompsons have been viewing the event from a private lounge at the top of the arena. The Thompsons say it doesn't matter who will win the tournament, as the Gold Club will still be walking out of Summer Smash with all the gold. Strutter chimes in and says that El Presidente's Television Championship will soon be around his waist, but that they haven't forgotten about the World Championship either. The Gold Club then reveals that they have added a fourth member to their ranks and that this mystery man will take the gold from Lazer.
The door of the skybox opens and Flex Deltoid walks in. He is dressed in an expensive new suit and has a beautiful woman on both arms. He embraces Strutter before turning to the camera and telling Lazer to watch his back.
****
Match 8 Tag Team Invitational Finals Grunge Brothers VS Toxic Terror The finals of the tournament come down to what is essentially a 4 on 2 handicap match. Cadaver and Sleaze continue their bad habit of getting involved in the Grunge's matches. Their initial attack yield little results, but when the referee gets distracted the Congregation gets bats, chairs and kendo sticks from under the ring. 8 and 9 get beaten down for a moment, only to get a second wind from out of nowhere and power through.
As the Mutants raise the Cruiserweight Trophy in the ring the camera pans to the skybox where the members of the Gold Club can be seen looking very uneasy. The lights cut out and as they come back on Strutter is unconcious on the floor, with Undermaster standing over him. The Thompsons and Flex scramble to get to the exit.
Winners: Toxic Terror **

No Boys Allowed...
In a move that would still be considered a risk here in 2020, PWN decided to host their first ever all women's show in July 1990. Although the PWN women's roster was pretty bare bones at the time they made up the numbers by booking returning legends like Almighty Dolla and Lyndi Harker and foreign superstars such as Gorgon Tokoro and Trixie.
The pay-per-view would also have big implications for Summer Smash, as the winner of the battle royal would get to challenge for the PWN Ladies World Championship at next month's Summer Smash.
Match 1 Almighty Dolla VS Princess Starbright The Princess has been struggling to stay relevant ever since losing her championship, getting booked on the weekly show less and less. This greatly annoyed her teacher, the Almighty Dolla, who would show up on Ignition to berate her pupil. The relationship between Starbright and Dolla has always been a difficult one, both on- and off-screen.
The two would come to blows, but the scuffle was broken up by security. The next week it was announced that the two would face off on Ladies Night. Princess Starbright did a good job of showing her teacher that she has picked up a few new tricks since leaving her tutelage behind her and had a counter for all of Dolla's usual tricks. She would even shock the crowd by using a few dirty tricks of her own to secure victory in this opening match.
Although this was a decent match, it's hard to watch back nowadays. Memphis Prince, who was on commentary, would make several derogatory remarks about Starbright that wouldn't fly in a modern setting.
Winner: Princess Starbright **
Match 2 Aurora VS Countess VS Queen of Mean Since losing the title the partnership between Countess and Queen of Mean has dissolved. Now both women want another shot at the title, even if they have to fight the other to do it. Aurora doesn't want eithere woman to win and has gotten involved to keep the fighting queens away from her sister.
Countess prevails after she makes Queen of Mean tap out and it seems like we haven't seen the last of her in the Ladies title picture.
Winner: Countess ***
Match 3 Battle Royal Femme Fatale VS Bombshell VS Gorgon Tokoro VS The Schmuck VS Dandelion VS Ms. Misery VS Mynx VS Trixie VS Spunky Sparks VS Valley Girl Expectations were high for the first ever all women's battle royal in PWN history, but this is a match best forgotten. Most of the parcipants who were part of the PWN roster were still fairly green at this point and the foreign athletes such as Tokoro and Fatale had difficulty communicating with the rest of the field due to a language barrier. The also inexplicably booked a man, the Schmuck, in this match, although this did lead to a funny spot where the entire field turned against him and collectively threw him over the top rope.
The match did have a few positive moments, as Gorgon Tokoro was made to look like a credible threat and we saw Dandelion and Bomshell meet in the ring for the first time, although this was a long time before their legendary rivalry. In the end it was the South-African superstar Mynx that stood tall by last eliminating Valley Girl.
Winner: Mynx *
The Coven Gathers Three hooded figures have gathered around a cauldron in a dimly lit room. They are chanting a hymn in a long forgotten ancient language, while depositing ingredients in the pot. The person in the middle takes of her hood and is revealed to be Gothica. She mentions that their concoction is almost ready, but that they are missing one vital ingredient. She commands the other two to go retrieve it for her.
*****
Match 4 PWN Ladies World Championship Legends Match Lyndi Harker VS Valkyrie
Lyndi Harker was THE top star in the Ladies division in the 1980s. She practically carried the division on her back during these times, inspiring many of her contemporaries and generations that followed. That is why it was only natural that she would headline the first all women's pay-per-view.
It is an over-statement to say that she hadn't lost a step, but even past her prime Lyndi was still a better wrestler than most of the other women who were active at the time. Hell, you could bring her out of retirement now and she would probably still wrestle circles around the like of Kristy Tristan and Molly Oliver. The outcome of the match was predictable, as no one expected Harker to come back full-time, but few saw coming what happened after the match. As Lyndi raised Valkyrie's hand and the show was set to go off air two hooded figures attacked the ladies in the ring and beat them down. After Harker was disposed of the bigger one would put Valkyrie in a submission hold, while the other would pull out a knife. They cut off a lock of Valkyrie's hair and proceeded to leave the ring.
As they turned around Valkyrie pulled off the hood of the smaller figure and reveal it to be Jenny Dreadful. The Sinister Sister would discard the hood and walk up the ramp towards the other hooded figure and Gothica as the closing credits started rolling.
Winner and STILL Ladies Champion: Valkyrie

Sun's out, Guns out...
In August 1990 the Silver Stadium was the home to Summer Smash. Thousands of people were packed into the arena, in the sweltering summer heat, to see their favorites compete for the richest prizes in the sport.
They would not be disappointed as the PWN wrestlers were on fire this night and set a shining example for the rest of the industry.
Match 1 PWN Cruiserweight Championship Coal Miner's Glove Match Magnifico VS Death Starboy (C) The landscape of the cruiserweight division has changed drastically since the last time the championship was on pay-per-view. The reason for the Gladiators decimating the division became clear when they revealed their partner: "The Ultimate Weapon" Death Starboy. On commentary Memphis Prince speculates that they must have tortured Starboy for months untill his mind finally snapped.
Magnifico has been trying to snap the former Starboy out of it but has been unsuccesful so far, despite slapping him in the face multiple times in tag matches. This has lead to the match's stipulation. Death Starboy is somehow quicker and more agile than he ever was before and beats Magnifico to the top of the ladder where he retrieves the Glove. Magnifico does a lot of bobbing and weaving, dodging the champ's attacks for quite some time. But in the end a wild swing catches him straight on the jaw and the luchador is knocked out.
Winner and STILL Cruiserweight Champion: Death Starboy ***
Match 2 Jet Set Strutter VS Undermaster
Jet Set Strutter hasn't been able to figure out why Undermaster is targeting him and all his attempts to ask for clarification or beg for mercy have fallen on deaf ears. Undermaster has been appearing out of nowhere for weeks, but tonight Strutter sees him coming clearly. In a big, eleborate entrance that takes longer than the match itself would Undermaster makes his way to the ring and stares daggers at Strutter.
The nerves are making Strutter sloppy and he walks into a lot of attacks that easily could have dodged or countered under normal circumstances. In the few moments of clarity he has he goes for his signature chops, but Undermaster no-sells the hell out of them. He gets Strutter up for the Gravedigger and three seconds later this one is done.
Winner: Undermaster **
O'Hooligan's Pub w/ Beer Can Man Beer Can Man is sitting at the bar in O'Hooligan's Pub. The Irish loudmouth asks his patron what's bothering him. After downing his drink he anwers that the title match should have been his. Ronnie beating him was a fluke and it won't happen again.
*****
Match 3 PWN Television Championship Barbed Wire Match Ronnie Believer VS Cadaver (C) After becoming the TV Champ the enigmatic Cadaver has been adding more and more people to his Congregation, getting his friends from outside the company PWN contracts. The brawlers from a now defunct Philadelphia promotion turned out to be bad at following orders and soon Cadaver would have a rebellion on his hands.
Beer Can Man would beat both friend and foe, scratching and clawing his way to the number one contender's position. Cadaver tried to throw him a curveball by having him fight Beer Can Man in a No Holds Barred Match, but not even this would deter the Heart of Hardcore. The wounds sustained in this match wouldn't have time to heal, as they were soon re-opened in this Barbed Wire match. Both competitors lost gallons of blood in this gruesome confrontation and both were in urgent need of medical attention as soon as the bell rang.
Winner and STILL Television Champion: Cadaver ***
Match 4 Legends Match Valedictorian VS Memphis Prince Memphis Prince's remarks about Starbright at last month's pay-per-view did not sit well with Valedictorian, who attacked his opponent before the bell. A wild brawl ensued, that only seemed to be building and building to an eventual crescendo. Memphis Prince had been on commentary for year's at this point, but his absence from the ring hadn't made him rusty in the slightest.
Valedictorian would give it everything he got and then some, even deploying some tactics that would make the audience downright uncomfortable, such as choking Prince out with the ring ropes. The referee would make multiple attempts to stop the match but the Prince refused, somehow looking somewhat heroic in defeat.
Valedictorian would pick up the crown after the match and place it on his own head.
Winner: Valedictorian ****
Match 5 PWN World's Tag Team Championship Toxic Terror VS Thompson Crew (C) These two teams have been on a collision course for over two months at this point. All of them have faced eachother in singles competition, but no man had been able to get a victory over the other. The Thompson Crew are infinitely more technically proficient than their opponents, but Mutant 8 and 9 are too strong to be caught in any hold for too long. Toxic Terror's heavy kicks, slams and punches did not faze the Thompsons a whole lot, as the brothers were both tougher than a two dollar steak.
This match became a war of atrition, but the higher-ups had already decided that there had to be a winner. The Mutants walked out with the gold this night, but it could have gone either way.
Winners and NEW Tag Team Champions: Toxic Terror ****
The Coven Reconvenes Just like on the last pay-per-view we see three hooded figures convene in an unspecified location. We already know Gothica and Jenny Dreadful, but the identity of the third person remained a mystery. They ask if they should reveal themselves to the world now, but Gothica says the time isn't right yet.
*****
Match 6 PWN Ladies World Championship Mynx VS Valkyrie (C) Mynx makes her way to the ring first, full of energy and somewhat overwhelmed by the amazing crowd at the Silver Stadium. Moments later the champ's music hits, but it's a bit slower and more distorted than usual. Valkyrie herself is also not looking quite right. She has a vacant look in her eyes and her body seems to be moving slower and jerkier than we usually see. Between the ropes Valkyrie is still the same amazing competitor she always is, but her expression doesn't change once. Not even when Mynx launces a counterattack.
When the bell rings Valkyrie does not celebrate, but simply stares at the ramp. The three hooded figures appear, with Gothica in front. Gothica takes her necklace off and holds it over her head. In it is a strange concoction with some long black hairs in it. She beckons Valkyrie and the World Ladies Champion complies.
Winner and STILL Ladies Champion: Valkyrie ***
Match 7 PWN World's Heavyweight Championship Flex Deltoid VS Lazer Lazer and Flex came in to PWN as the best of friends, determined to make it to the top of the promotion together. Their paths would diverge, but yet here they stood at opposite ends of the ring at one of the biggest events in PWN history. Former friends turned bitter enemies.
Their last one on one encounter was a friendly contest in the opening round of the March Madnesss tournament, but any remnants of that friendship that remained were forgotten as soon as the referee started the match. Flex and Lazer might be the most evenly matched competitors on the roster, knowing eachother through and through. Flex could have won this one if not for the bad influence of the Gold Club. Despite never needing them before Flex would try to take shortcuts. This enraged Lazer even further and gave him the energy to bring this match to a close.
Winner and STILL World's Heavyweight Champion: Lazer ****

Catch As Catch Can...
To give their fans a bit of a palate cleanser between the Summer Smash and the very gimmick-heavy Halloween Hellraiser PWN decided to take a trip abroad. Back To School, the first PWN show on the British Isles would consist of four straight-forward wrestling matches.
No tricks.
No cheating.
No gimmicks.
Just four matches featuring some of PWN's finest and a very special surprise appearance.
Match 1 Gage Guyz VS Thompson Crew It seemed like a foregone conclusion that the Thompsons would get their rematch at Back to School, but PWN management revealed that Mutants 8 & 9 would have some surprise opponents waiting for them at the London Grounds.
Instead Otto and Strongarm would have to contend with the Gage Guyz, who fought Toxic Terror to a time limit draw on an episode of Ignition. Tatters and Rager's speed and agility kept them out of the clutches of the Mutants, but the Thompsons were a lot quicker than they expected. Otto's spinebuster would rearrange Rager's entire bone structure, while Strongarm would keep his brother from breaking up the subsequent pin.
Winners: Thompson Crew **
Match 2 PWN Ladies World Championship Aurora VS Valkyrie (C) Although this match is for the title, for Aurora it is about so much more. Valkyrie's behavior has been strange and erratic ever since she fell under Gothica's spell and she's not holding anything back. After a few minutes of pleading Aurora realises that her words fell on deaf ears and that she would have to use more violent tactics to snap her sister out of it.
Over the course of the match we see a change in Valkyrie. Her movements become more fluid, her eyes start lighting up and eventually a smile creeps across her face. Aurora recognises that Gothica's grip on her sister is loosening and continues the fight. Just as things are heating up Valkyrie hits an Underhook Facebuster from out of nowhere and wins the match. Afterwards there's a tense moment, as it looks as Valkyrie is setting up for another finisher, but the sisters embrace eachother instead.
Winner and STILL Ladies Champion: Valkyrie ***
The Trifecta of Terror
Gothica, Jenny and their masked partner appear at the top of the stage and they looks quite upset. Gothica states that she didn't expect Aurora to break her spell, but that she had a back-up plan just in case. Jenny removes the hood of the third person and it is revealed to be Auntie Voodoo! Voodoo charges at the Cimmerternians, who aren't quite ready to defend themselves after their grueling match. They get lain out by a pair of Auntie's Hexes.
*****
O'Hooligan's Pub w/ Cadaver & Cabb Honest Al has elected to take an extended leave of absence, so O'Hooligan has stepped up as the new backstage interviewer. He clearly has a different philosophy to conducting interviews, as he is fanning the flames between the Television Champion Cadaver and his number one contender Cabb. The two inevitably come to blows while O'Hooligan gets out of dodge.
****
Match 3 PWN World's Tag Team Championship The Dobermans VS Toxic Terror (C) The Dobermans are the surprise opponents for Toxic Terror! The British standouts have won countless championships and are looking to add one more to their ever growing collection. Mutant 8 and 9 clearly aren't taking their opponent seriously in the opening minutes and this costs them dearly. Duke and Danny tie their opponents in knots and put their ligaments under huge strains. Number 8's leg gets worked over, while 9's right arm suffers a similar fate. As they go to hit their finisher later on Toxic Terror stumbles and falls and come very close to losing the gold. This forces the Mutants to re-assess and take a more cautious approach. They cut the ring in half and don't allow Danny to tag in for the remainder of the match while Duke gets pulverized.
Winners and STILL Tag Team Champions: Toxic Terror ***
Match 4 PWN World's Heavyweight Championship King V VS Lazer (C) Just one month ago Valedictorian was a valliant hero, but ever since defeating Memphis Prince and taking his crown he has become increasingly unhinged. Before the match he declares himself King V, ruler of the United Kingdom. As soon as he takes Lazer's crown that will change, as he will become king of the world.
Lazer has heard enough and he asks the ref to start the match. Both men are excellent technical wrestlers and it shows, but it's clear that King V is still struggling to find his feet as a heel. Lazer shines throughout the match and wraps up his performance with a neat little pinning predicament.
Winner and STILL World Champion: Lazer ***

A Night of Unspeakable Horrors...
A Terror-rific Introduction There's no need to do an introduction of my own for this pay-per-view, as the Trifecta of Terror has me covered. Gothica and Jenny Dreadful hype up the upcoming matches, giving extra attention to the main event and the women's match that features their stablemate Auntie Voodoo. Jenny also seems particularly interested in Cadaver's upcoming match.
*****
Match 1 PWN Television Championship Cabb VS O'Hooligan VS Cadaver (C) O'Hooligan has been playing the Television champion Cadaver and his challenger Cabb against eachother for weeks, getting in their heads during his interviews in the Pub. He ended up weaseling his way into the match, but one final attempt at mindgames on the go-home show turned both other competitors against him and drastically lowered his chances of winning this match. The person that ended up benefitting most from the late addition was the reigning champion.
Cadaver would've surely lost his title is he had to face the far more athletic Cabb in a singles contest without some sort of stipulation. Thankfully Cabb ended up suplexing O'Hooligan into oblivion and Cadaver quickly rolled him up to prolong his championship reign.
Winner and STILL Television Champion: Cadaver ***
Match 2 Auntie Voodoo VS Aurora Auntie Voodoo has been running through everyone since she was revealed to be the third member of the Trifecta of Terror. To get a shot at Ladies Champion Valkyrie she has to go through one final obstacle: her sister Aurora. The warrior princess was determined to not let the witches get their hands on Valkyrie again and a wild brawl ensued.
The referee had to pull the ladies apart multiple times, as they weren't heeding his warnings. The two women were too enthralled by their vicious battle that they didn't hear it when the referee started his 10-count and continued brawling after the bell rang.
Double Count Out **
Match 3 Weapons Match Beer Can Man VS Ronnie Believer Either one of these men could be the current Television champion if not for the interference of the other man. Beer Can Man and Believer have been attacking eachother backstage, targeting eachother in multi-man matches and have been cutting savage promos. The pristine white outfit of Ronnie Believer was dyed a bright red by the time the match ended, as Beer Can Man had wrapped his signature Singapore Cane in barbed wire.
Winner: Beer Can Man ***
Match 4 The Gladiators of Aethra VS Secret Agents This match made sense in terms of storyline, since the superspy Herman Nerd was currently the number one contender for the Cruiserweight Championship held by Death Starboy, but the result did not go over well. In retrospect it was probably best to give some sort of stipulation to this match, as a double DQ was not what this rowdy crowd were expecting on a night like Halloween Hellraiser.
Double Disqualification **
Match 5 King V VS The Doberman King V has been growing more delusional after his trip to London, as he is now claiming to be the greatest British wrestler of all time. When the Doberman rightfully pointed out that V wasn't even from the UK he made himself a target for the megalomaniacal monarch.
These two were fighting an uphill battle, as the crowd was still upset over the result of the last match on the card and had to put in a lot of work to win them back over. Eventually the crowd would start to take notice of the spectacle in the ring and they would stand firmly behind the sublime Doberman, who got the loudest cheers of the evening as he almost committed regicide with an intense Doberslam.
Winner: The Doberman ***
Honest Al interviews the Gold Club Honest Al is interviewing Flex Deltoid and Jet Set Strutter. Strutter is beside himself with anger over the stipulation of the upcoming match and says that management has it out for the Gold Club. Al asks them about the main event next and although he tries to hide it, Strutter is clearly upset with Flex over his failure to dethrone Lazer.
****
Match 6 PWN World's Tag Team Championship Steel Cage Match Thompson Crew VS Toxic Terror (C) Toxic Terror got to choose the stipulation of this match after teaming up with the Undermaster to defeat the team of Flex Deltoid and the Thompsons. They chose to have the match in a steel cage. Not to keep Flex and Strutter out, but to make sure the Thompsons had nowhere to run. Mutant 8 and 9's fears were unwarranted, as Otto and Strongarm had no intention of running. It became clear that they had been watching the championship match at Back to School, since the Thompsons were using a lot of the submissions moves the Dobermans had used on the previous pay-per-view.
Toxic Terror had also learned a few new tricks during their time abroad, as they surprised Strongarm by slapping on submission moves of their own. The tough as nails grappler did not tap out, but the damage did hinder him later on when he tried to escape. His slow climb put him in a precarious position and a devastating double team manouver did him in.
Winners and STILL Tag Team Champions: Toxic Terror ***
Match 7 PWN World's Heavyweight Championship Undermaster VS Lazer (C) Undermaster was presented as a force of nature in the final match of this show. His dramatic entrance sent shivers down the spine of the members of the audience and by the looks of it even the PWN World's Heavyweight Champion was somewhat rattled. If Lazer had a gameplan it went out of the window quickly, as the usually calm and collected champion would attack his opponent with wild strikes and frenzied grappling. Undermaster no sold all of it. Kicking out at one, even after taking the most hard-hitting moves in his opponent's arsenal.
When Undermaster ended Lazer's reign it sucked the air out of the room, leaving the audience in shocked silence. Only once his music hit did the crowd realise what they had just seen.
Winner and NEW World Champion: Undermaster ***

Adapt or Perish...
Match 1 PWN Cruiserweight Championship Orion Northstar VS Death Starboy (C) It's been a couple of dark months for the cruiserweight, with the Gladiators and their ultimate weapon crushing all opposition. Just when it seemed there was no chance of anyone ever dethroning Death Starboy a small glimmer of hope started shining through.
Former independant stand-out Gabriel Orion had signed an exclusive contract with PWN and would debut shortly after Summer Smash on an episode of Ignition under his new name Orion Northstar. Orion would prove himself to be a workhorse, competing on every episode for weeks on end without ever losing a match. This propelled him to the top of the division and to this championship match.
The champion tried to dominate like he had done in every match so far, but soon found out that the challenger could keep up with him. Both men pushed eachother to their limits, but it Northstar was the better man this night. This was a good match that could have been great if given more time. After the match Orion extended his hand to the former champ and to everyone's surprise Death Starboy shook it. The Gladiators attacked, but the cruiserweights fended them off.
Winner and NEW Cruiserweight Champion: Orion Northstar ***
Match 2 Survival of the Fittest The Doberman, Doberman Duke & Beastheart VS King V, Brit Buckingham & Tennis Pro The King V and Doberman rivalry had only escalated further after their clash at Halloween Hellraiser. With Brit Buckingham and Tennis Pro now feeding into King V's delusion, the Doberman turned to his old tag partner Duke and best friend Beastheart for back-up. The trios would duke it out in a 3 on 3 elimination match, a stipulation that would soon become known as "Survival of the Fittest."
Tennis Pro was in first and got eliminated within seconds as he walked right into a Doberslam. King V and Brit were rattled and had to adjust their gameplan. Using dirty tactics they would take out Duke and Beastheart, although they never officially eliminated them. The Doberman would find himself in a 2 on 1 situatioin, but his resilience and superior grappling ability made him overcome the odds.
Winners: The Doberman, Doberman Duke & Beastheart ***
O'Hooligan's Pub with Cabb O'Hooligan's Pub is up next and the loudmouth Irishman couldn't help but make a sneering comment about the Doberman's victory. After a five minute tirade he would finally change the subject and introduce his guest: the new PWN Television Champion Cabb.
At Halloween Hellraiser Cabb and O'Hooligan both failed to dethrone Cadaver, but the following night Cabb suplexed Cadaver into oblivion and walked away with the gold. O'Hooligan was dealt with the following episode and the question on everyone's lips is who the next challenger will be. Cabb declares that it doesn't matter. Management can line them up and he will knock them all down. At this point O'Hooligan tries to jump Cabb, but the champ has him scouted and suplexes him over the bar.
****
Match 3 Survival of the Fittest The Trifecta of Terror VS Aurora, Valkyrie & Penny Dreadful Gothica, Jenny Dreadful and Auntie Voodoo have been messing with the Cimmerternian sisters for months and would often get the upper hand by relying on their superior numbers. When the match was made for this pay-per-view many were reluctant to join Aurora and Valkyrie in their fight. In a surprising twist it would be Jenny's twin sister Penny that was the mystery partner.
The champion and the number one contender are in first and have a heated exchange, which ends with Auntie Voodoo pinning Valkyrie clean as a whistle. Now that the Ladies Champion was no longer in the match Aurora and Penny found themselves in a difficult spot. It didn't last long as Penny would eliminate her sister and Aurora would capitalize on this shift in momentum and take out Gothica. Auntie would prove to be much more difficult. Individually both women would get beaten down, but once they started working together the match was won.
Winners: Aurora & Penny Dreadful ***
Training Montage
A video flashes up on the big screen. The camera pans across a very professional looking gym. We hear someone grunting as he lifts weights. The person comes into view and we see that the bar he is raising is bending from the immense weight that has been put on both sides. He lifts the bar one final time and sits up. It's olympic gold medalist Magnus Muscle! Magnus announces that he is coming for the PWN Television Championship.
****
Match 4 Survival of the Fittest Gold Club VS Flex Deltoid & Toxic Terror The partnership between Flex Deltoid and the Gold Club started deteriorating after Flex failed to dethrone Lazer, to the point that his stablemates kicked him out of the group. To get his revenge he teams up with a pair of very unlikely allies in Toxic Terror.
The Gold Club incapacitates Flex before the opening bell to gain the upper hand, but the current Tag Team Champions are a formidable force all on their own. They take out Strongarm and Otto before focussing their attention on Strutter. Just as the match seems to be over the Thompsons pull the Mutants out of the ring and the teams brawl on the outside. Flex recovers from the beatdown and slides back in the ring to have a face to face confrontation with Strutter, who takes the final fall.
After the match 8 and 9 lift Flex up on their shoulders and celebrate, but it was all a ruse. Flex gets powerbomb on the apron and is left laying.
Winners: Flex Deltoid & Toxic Terror ***
Match 5 PWN World's Heavyweight Championship
30-Minute Iron Man Match Lazer VS Undermaster (C) Up untill this point Undermaster has only been in fairly short matches and Lazer called him out on this fact. This lead to their championship rematch becoming an Iron Man match. For the longest time it seemed like there would be no winner, as neither man could keep the other down for more than two seconds, but at the 28 minute mark Undermaster would hit a piledriver, followed by a succesful pinfall. With little time left on the clock Lazer would become more frantic, which proved to be his downfall as he tapped out to close the match. Undermaster wins 2-0.
Winner and STILL World Champion: Undermaster ****
