Crossover - The RNR Story

(None of these scenarios were played through in 80s mania wrestling returns, I just wanted to tell a good story.)

2025

Two men walk down a dark alleyway. They are having a conversation.

"What do we do boss, We can't just break the space time contimunium!"

"Listen Mr Foo, we are trying to bring back our company by giving it the influence we need. We can't let him die in the car crash 40 years ago."

Jolly Foo: But, we'll have to sacrifice BuzzSaw, The Mega Star of the 1980s!

"BuzzSaw can wait, we can just simply replace him. If Buzzsaw is dead, Valedictorian will face Dude Brohan. And we can't let anyone but Brohan near that title."

Jolly Foo: But the fans will get tired of him quickly and they will start to change the channel. What will we do then

"We need him to be champion untill he becomes the face of the 1980s. Then we will give the championship to somebody else, around the 1988 mark."

Jolly Foo:  Why don't we just have him in dream matches like him vs Strutter or him vs Average Guy?

"Money does not grow on trees, Back then all the savings were promoting Buzzsaw vs Valedictorian. But now he is dead. Anyways lets go back.

Jolly Foo: Yes boss.

"Don't call me boss again Foo, your being promoted to Officer Foo and I'm promoted to the...

1985 - The Night Before RockingMania

Officer Foo: So how we will kill Buzzsaw Reviver? 

Reviver: We simply set up the scene, I've asked Hijack to setup a distaction so Intruder can bash into Buzzsaw and knock him off the bridge

Officer Foo: How did they get here?

Reviver: Setting it up ahead of time, thats how we do it. Now here it comes.

Hijack distracts while Intruder successfully bashes into Buzzsaws car, but he is also knocked off the bridge.

Reviver: Damn it! Officer, send him back to 2025 to get him checked.

Suddenly, a shadowy figure appears and does a Swanton Bomb on Reviver. He reveals himself to be Tatters Gage aka Morbid

Morbid: So, we meet again, Brother.

Reviver: How the hell did you get here?

Morbid: Your henchmen are terrible at not being distracted. Simply fooled and time machine I get. Now what are you doing here?

Reviver: I'm trying to bring back wrestling to the mainstream.

Morbid: Wrestling's been dead since the huge scandal a few years back. Why have you travelled 40 years back?

Reviver: To kill Buzzsaw to not kill Dude Brohan to get him to promote RNR.

Morbid: You are really stupid ya know, Brohan is gonna KILL your business. Trust me, i know.

Reviver: You've been retired for 20 years! What do you know?

Morbid: Everything, Dude Brohan was never a big star. People only liked him because he was a muscular white straight American man who was normal as a babyface can be. That's why I left the business. It wasn't worth a damn. Too many generic babyfaces and too flawed heels. I can't enjoy the product because I can't enjoy the style.

Reviver: I'm going to change the past to make these issues no longer matter. Brohan is gonna become the GUY whatever you say or not. I don't care about your opinion.

Morbid: If you don't care about my opinion, I shouldn't care about your attempt. Goodbye brother. I must go.

Morbid leaves while Reviver lays on the ground and thinks about what his brother said.

MARCH 31ST 1985 - ROCKINGMANIA

"Hello ladies and gentleman and welcome to the superior show RNR and tonight is a special night as we host the first ever RockingMania. What do ya think, Codger.

Codger: We have an amazing show tonight as Red Pirate Rodgers take on our breakout star Arizona Chance for the Inaugural Cruiserweight Championship in the preshow. Afterwards is the main show we have the Womens Title Match as Chaka Crass takes on Mynx and Sgt Shipley for the gold. Then we have The Ace of Spades taking on Vladimir The Cruel to decide the forth man in the TV Championship Scramble. Then we have The Executioners taking on Lazer and Flex for the Tag Team Championship. The we have the Intercontinental Championship match with Star Boy, Memphis Prince, Pelvis Pressley and our forth man in a scramble match. Then we have the main event. Valedictorian takes on Dude Brohan for the vacant World Championship. We have a great show and we can't wait for it.

Match 1: Red Pirate Rodgers Vs Arizona Chance for the Cruiserweight Championship: Two friends become bitter rivals when Rodgers steals Arizona's push by injury and they final square off. After a bitter brawl. Arizona Chance claims the Cruiserweight Championship. - Arizona Chance Wins

Match 2: Chaka Crass (c) vs Mynx vs Sgt Shipley for the Womens Championship:  After gaining a title shot, Sgt Shipley finds that she is ignored between the rivalry between Mynx and Chaka Crass. She proves herself worthy as she claims the title for herself tonight. - Sgt Shipley Wins

Match 3: Ace of Spades vs Vladimir The Cruel:  The Ace has a trick up his sleeve, Its a LOW BLOW! That must hurt for the Cruel. 1...2... And he kicks out at two. And ANOTHER LOW BLOW. He must be DQ'd! He must be. And he is! Vladimir The Cruel has won by DQ! - Vladimir The Cruel wins by DQ.

Match 4: The Executioners (c) vs Lazer and Flex: Despite their best efforts. Lazer and Flex fails to capture the gold, but gets a handshake from Mercenary and Spazz. They have worked so hard and yet they still fail. - The Executioners retain.

Match 5: Fatal 4 Way for The Intercontinental Championship: Before the match, Hooligan makes his rumored return to RNR and announces that Vladimir the Cruel has forfeited the shot after he was attacked by Ace of Spades after the match. Ace has been suspended for the rest of 1985 and has payed for Vlad's medical bills. Suddenly, Dark Invader makes a huge debut to RNR  and attacks the GM of RNR! The match is a long contest with many moments. Star Boy retains, but he then relinquishes the title and gives it to Dark Invader! OH BHA GOD! Star Boy has turned to the Dark Side! - Star Boy retains but gives title to Dark Invader.

Reviver and Officer Foo look at the events on a helicopter.

Reviver: I remember this, Dark Invader made such an impact here. He got wasted shortly after though, Wonder if I can change that?

Foo: C'mon boss, The Main Event is starting.

Main Event: Dude Brohan vs Valedictorian for the RNR World Championship: This match is intense, A dream match to end the show and WHATS THIS. Who is this Intruder. BAH GWAD he's attacked Valedictorian. Brohan is going for the pin. 1...2...

Reviver: Here she comes.... Wait a second.

...3!!! Dude Brohan has won! He did it! He's the world champion. He did it for BUZZSAW!

Reviver: What Morbid said, Could it be? C'mon Officer, lets go home.

2025

Reviver and Foo look at the RNR HQ. It looks... bland.

Reviver: No no no. What have I done?

Morbid: So you've done it, haven't you? You've ended Professional Wrestling for good.

Reviver: WHAT DID YOU DO!

Morbid: No, What did YOU do?

Reviver: I just... saved Brohan...

Morbid: You did that and he destroyed the company and its assets. Nobody likes professional wrestling anymore. Go back in time brother.

Reviver:... You will be mine soon enough.

Morbid leaves and Reviver and Foo go back to 1985.

BAH GWAD, DUDE BROHAN IS DOWN. ONE... TWO... THREE... VALEDICTORIAN HAS WON THE BELT. A glorious victory for the Macho Man.

Chapter 1: The Wrestling Revival

April 27th 1985: Redemption

Robby "The Frame" Beeman: Welcome to an exciting PPV where tonight, we will see some top high action, I'm joined by my colleague, Green Bean Snokerland! What do you have to say

Snokerland: The card is amazing as always Beeman, We have matches wacky as a Comedy Showdown between Pelvis Pressley and Teeny Norman and breakout defenses like Dark Invader vs Moon Man vs Shark Boy. And of course, Valedictorian will face off against a mysterious opponent. Let's get rocking, shall we?

Preshow

Teeny Norman vs Pelvis Pressley: Pelvis is charming as always, But Teeny has the comedy degree. Ha ha, That was funny! Teeny has been voted the winner, what a wacky contest!  
Arizona Chance vs Ninja Shadow for the Cruiserweight Championship: Robbery has hit the Chance household and that pesky Ninja Shadow has done it! Chance has had enough and attempts to retain the title, However, Shadow is very good at what he does, He claims the Crusierweight Championship only to vacate it later on, What is he up to?

The Executioners vs Ace Arcadium and Zen for the Tag Team Championships:  Ace has returned!... Sort of, He has now removed his Spades and became the anti virus, Ace Arcaduim! He has teamed up with Zen and Max Attack to take down the viruses and save the video game industry. He also has some tag team gold by defeating the champions to become the champion along with Zen.

Dark Invader vs Moon Man vs Shark Boy for the Intercontinental Championship: Here we go and BAH GWAD Moon Man has gotten Shark Boy in the sockets. He's pinning him, One two three. Oh my, Moon Man is the new Intercontinental Champion. He's turned to the Dark Side!

Dude Brohan vs Brit Buckingham and Hammerhead: The Anti Americans have annoyed Brohan to his limits! They clash at this very moment and OH MY! So many stars attacking Brohan! This match is off, Get him an ambulance!

Meanwhile...

Reviver: Perfection, I've "donated" some "cash" to our former company, now they will profit. And soon enough, That profit will bring back RNR from the dead.

Valedictorian vs Jet Set Strutter for the World Championship: Jet Set Strutter and the Gold Club make their RNR debut! It's looking bad for Strutter as he is hit with an Elbow Drop. Suddenly, Otto and Strongham Thompson distract Valedictorian for the low blow! One, two, three! He did it... Wait a sec, they are checking the footage... DQ! DQ! Valedictorian is STILL the champion.

Reviver: WHAT! No no no, I didn't plan this! THIS CANNOT BE! 

Morbid looks on in the distance, knowing that his brothers plan has been failed once again.
