Writerly question: did I telegraph Jessie's turn weeks ago, or did it work as a surprise. (Hard to tell what I thought versus what came across on the page/screen)

It definitely surprised me. Likewise, I had no idea but marked out a little when I saw the pieces come together. Well played, sir.

(Hard to tell what I thought versus what came across on the page/screen) I would say it was foreshadowed, but definitely not telegraphed. It worked well. It obviously surprised me, as I wrote about Buffalo attacking me at the same time he attacked you. 😂

It seemed like things may have been off but the payoff came as a surprise. Which is what a well executed wrestling story ought to be.

I was thinking of having a talk show idea where I get heat on me and It could lead to feuds from it like a Piper’s Pit type thing

I was thinking of having a talk show idea where I get heat on me and It could lead to feuds from it like a Piper’s Pit type thing I did that with Penguino for a little while. I personally like the idea but at the end of the day it’s your decision for your character

I thought I’d do a short tutorial on how I post generated Tweets/Cheeps on the board, if anyone was curious. - I use the website tweetgen.com to make my tweets, but any site is fine so long as you save your tweet as an image. -With the tweet saved as an image, I got to imgbb.com to upload the image: pretty straightforward, just hit the upload icon and select the saved image from where it’s stored on your computer/device. - Before you upload, you’re given the choice to set a duration of time before the image is deleted from the imgbb servers. If you want the tweet to remain on the board here, choose the “Don’t autodelete” option from the dropdown before you upload (I think this is selected by default anyway) - ^ After your image has uploaded: From the “Embed codes” dropdown, select ‘HTML full linked’, then highlight and copy the url of the uploaded image only (If you choose BB code, or copy and paste the full HTML then your image will be posted as a link to some trashy ad site or other). - Head over to the JWA message board… - ^In the “Create Post” window, select the Insert Image icon (the icon of a polaroid) and paste your image URL into the top box, and click “Insert Image” - ^Et voila! It might sound a little long-winded/time consuming, but it doesn’t take long at all!

If you have the image saved to your computer, you can also use the "add attachment" button to upload the image when using the desktop version of the board to reply.

Because I'm an idiot and a procrastinator, I spent this morning when I should have been working doing a mock up of an 80s Mania Wrestling Returns card for my character (Also posted in Wrestler Profiles). I can't promise to turn them around with any kind of speed, but if any of you would like one of your own character, let me know! Send me a DM with some info: - Name (And any reference you might have for a very simple logo)
- Height
- Weight
- Hometown
- Short Bio (Keep it to a sentence, or two max)
- Fan Status (Heel/Bad, Face/Good, or Tweener)
- Wrestling Style (Athlete, Big Mouth, Flyer, Ghoulie, Hulk, Loner, Patriot, Showman, or Specimen)
- Info for the corner box (Achievements/Finishers/Nicknames/Quotes... Anything relevant to your guy, but things that aren't likely to need changed over time)
- Reference for your character's artwork
Again, I'll work through these when I can, so they might take a while, but if you're interested, let me know!
[EDIT: Added a front of the card, along with a makeshift JWA logo - hope that's okay with Kip!]

That is seriously cool, in fact the artwork looks like an MMW card.

Great work, dude. The JWA logo is fine considering the current one we almost never use is just a poorly modified NWA logo.

Hey guys, if you did't see it in last night's Glory I proposed a tag team lumberjack match of Duke/Thorin vs Caine/Caliber, with the locker room at ringside. The storyline reasoning is that there are a lot of faces who have suffered at the hands of the tag champs and this is a good way to get a bit of revenge for all the underhanded tactics. But what I thought would cool for us in the roleplay is that it allows others to turn the tide of the match, by taking over writing if a character gets dumped outside, but also (hopefully) a fresh way for us to push existing storylines or start new ones: with everyone ringside, a feud could start from something as simple as two guys bumping into each other, or any amount of hijinx.
I dunno, I thought it might be fun and something different for us, while adding a cool wrinkle to the story of Duke and Thorin's dominance of the tag division. Hope you'll all join in for the craic.

I like the idea. It’d definitely bring something new to the table, and like you said could help progress existing storylines or even start new ones.

I'll happily join the party. And I'll bring Miss Jessie to relive our rivalry
