This feels like the right place to just point out: Adam Copland (Edge) is quite good in Percy Jackson. Having taught the book and the old movie, kids were bummed that Ares didn't get any screen time, but the new series does a fine job of making him both realistic and still a true heel. He plays the part well and I'm glad to see it.

It shouldn't be surprising that I have passing interest in Greek Mythology in general, and with his work on Haven and Vikings, I had no doubt that he'd be perfect in the role of Ares. |

I had either forgotten or blocked out that Vanilla Ice’s real names is Matt Van Winkle.
My head cannon now includes MC Frosty fighting to be accepted by Fritz and his sons.

Sorry, not sorry, I put all my random moments in here…
Yesterday in my classroom I had three kids (all my students are about 13 years old) dominating the discussion.
Me: man y’all are in total domination mode today
Kid: We are the nation…of DOMINATION!
(Regret that it took me 9 months of teaching to find out the kid loves the Attitude era and Farooq as much as I do.

Without interjecting political rights and wrongs in the board I have to note that Hulk Hogan’s “Trumpamania” endorsement makes me wonder if we’re going to get a separate Democrats promo from The Rock…building to replacing a debate with a match…

Not a pop culture reference but a while ago my parents were playing a game with their friends where you have to name a person/character who matches a certain list of criteria with a new rule being added on each time you say somebody (e.g you start with naming someone who's male, then the next person someone who's male and an actor, then back to you with someone who's a male actor with white hair, etc) and one round they had a criteria of "male who's better known under a name that's not their birthname and who also has a beard" or something along those lines and my parents said Rey Mysterio. An argument broke out over whether he has a beard or not and I had to be called in to settle it.

I've been watching Olympics coverage with my kids, and everytime they've introduced someone for the fencing and swimming events (possibly others but these are the only ones I watch), they walk out from backstage with their names on a jumbotron, and I really want someone to try doing it with a gimmick and a Jimmy Hart style theme song.
