Recently I have been looking more into the story’s and characters in MMW and have came to a bit of a big conclusion. I think, hidden in the game, is a story/lore that maybe the developers may or may not have thought of when making certain characters, alts, feuds, and tag teams but I find it pretty cool. It isn’t just one big story but a mixture of a bunch of small stories that I think could be the definite “world” these characters live in. Now I know the game is for you to fantasy book your promotion and push who you want and that’s why there’s the fed results area but I think the game having it’s own story would be cool. If you don’t believe me just look into some of the wrestler’s ALTs. I assumed all of wrestler’s gimmick changes are due to what their character becomes in the future. This is proven by Avarice’s ALT’s bio being “A respect-turned-friendship with Lion Hero has allowed Avarice to drop the arrogant bad boy persona and concentrate on his supreme in-ring talents.” While his original gimmick’s bio is “Avarice is a deplorable brat who is driven by greed for wealth, fame, and title gold. But the most frustrating thing? He has the talent to get it all.”. Therefor proving that in this world he does change later down the line because of Lion Hero who also changes after being trained by 80MWR’s Mighty Leo. But not only that, there’s proof that ALTs could be the original versions of wrestlers. Andromeda’s bio says “There’s no denying that this girl is damaged. She simply derives too much pleasure from other people’s pain!” But Andromeda Prime’s bio says “It turns out that there was much more to Andromeda’s backstory. Could it be true? Was she sent from the Cosmos above to defend the federation?” Implying that Prime was the original Andromeda that was sent to whatever federation we run but someone “damaged” her causing her to turn evil. There is a lot other minor details that give depth to characters and I am sure they are just there to justify reasons on why their gimmicks change and stuff but I think it can create a fully canon story for the game. Now I know I might of just went on a big rant but I am going to continue looking into all this stuff and take my time to try and flesh out the whole story and write one in fed results.
