It’s the start of 1986. Hair metal is just beginning to hit mainstream. We’re halfway between Terminator 1 and 2. The Chicago Bears just finished off one of the most dominant performances in NFL history the previous year.
BigSky Wrestling is entering its 7th year of existence. The now popular Fed started with a couple of solid performers, and undercard of colorful characters, and a dream. It’s now blossomed into the solid number two Fed in the country, with aspirations of hitting the big time.
The first few years have been dominated by three men. Dr. B was the first world champion, and still holds the Fed record for having held the belt 7 times. He claimed to be “a very baaaad man” who “took pity on all the idiots” who challenged him.
His greatest rival in the early days was Arizona Chance, a man who connected with the crowd like no other early on. AC was the fed’s first Grand Slam Champion, winning the World, TV, Cruiserweight, and Tag championships by mid-1982. Arizona always claimed that “no one hunts for gold better than Arizona Chance.”
But everything changed in Sept 1981, when BigSky made its first major free agent purchase. A face painted, neon geared phenomenon know as Lazer arrived and turned everything on its head. Lazer immediately challenged for the World Title, and won in only his third match. He went on to successfully defend the title 59 straight matches, until Sept 1985, when a newcomer known as the Annihilator shocked the world by ending the most impressive run in the young fed’s history.
Lazer has since avenged his loss and earned his title back. Dr. B and AC are still major players— Dr. B teamed with Mr. Tycoon, known now as “Hired Muscle”, and held the tag titles for almost a year, and AC has been feuding with Mercenary over the TV title lately, but no one seems poised to challenge Lazer for the title.
Until, that is, a new challenger announces his presence, in January 1986, with two words that will resound forever in Big Sky Wrestling:
“Hey, yo.”

Jan 1986
The first show of the year opens with Chet Skye vs Yuppie VP. The two lock up, and Skye chases VP out of the ring with a series of arm drags followed by a drop kick. VP steadies himself, charges back in, and gets hit with another series of arm drags, followed by another running drop kick. He rolls out again, and smashes the mat in frustration while Skye grins at him from the center of the ring.
VP pulls out his cell phone and makes a call. He grins widely as Big Boss Jr joins him at ringside. VP rolls back into the ring, and as Skye attempts to move in, the Boss distracts the referee, allowing VP to take control with an eye rake. He works over the neck of Skye, softening it up for his finisher. Skye ducks under a clothes line attempt, and VP crashes through the ropes into the Boss! Skye quickly grabs VP, throws him into the ring, climbs the ropes and hits the Torpedo Drop Kick for the three count.
Next up is Dr. B making his way to the ring to face a member of the tag champs. In the 1985 end of the year show, he and Mr Tycoon lost the titles to Arizona Chance and Kezzif, his opponent tonight. The two start off their match with a test of strength, and Kezzif wins by easily overpowering his opponent, forcing him to his knees. Dr. B complains about a fan, and as the ref turns to quiet him, hits Kezzif with a low blow!
Kezzif is hurting but refuses to go down. Dr. B does everything he can to get the giant off his feet, including two connections with The Clubber, which has won Dr. B seven world titles. He attempts a third, but Kezzif blocks it, grabs Dr. B, and hoists him over his shoulder and crashes down to the mat for the Boulder Smasher. Kezzif wins a relatively short match.
Mercenary then strutted to the ring and issued a challenge to anyone man enough to face him. The call was answered by Magnus Muscle. The two engaged in technical chain wrestling with counter after counter to start the match, with the result being that both men were left unscathed through the opening sequence, but they received a standing ovation from the crowd.
Mercenary landed the first successful offense, with a solid elbow, and then after a double leg pickup started to work on Magnus’s legs. Kicks to the knees, an elbow drop to the thigh, and a Garvin Stomp up and down both legs left Magnus barely able to move. Mercenary went for the Canadian Cloverleaf, but Magnus rolled it into a near fall. Magnus has a brief offensive burst of flying shoulder tackles and two clotheslines, but Mercenary ducked under a running clothesline attempt, bounced off the ropes, and hit a flying forearm. He then locked in the Cloverleaf for the submission.
The penultimate match of the evening was a Ladies Number One Contender match between Gothica and Valley Girl. Valley Girl immediately went for the Chill Pill trying to end things quickly, but Gothica calmly dodged the attack and wrapped her arms around VG’s neck. This one was over before it started with Gothica putting VG to sleep via Halloween Dreams.
The final match is a three way dance between World Champ Lazer, The Annihilator, and Mr Tycoon. If Tycoon or Annihilator win the match, they earn the next title shot. Naturally, the two heels double team Lazer to start the bout, but Lazer no-sells everything because he’s Lazer and clears the ring. Tycoon renters and gets gorilla pressed over the ropes onto Annihilator. The two crash into the barricade, and an elderly woman in the front row falls out of her chair. Fortunately she’s ok.
Tycoon and Annihilator enter again from opposite sides of the ring, trying to surround Lazer. They manage to rock the champ, and hit a double team clothesline to knock Lazer over the ropes. Out of nowhere, Tycoon’s associate Yuppie VP blasts Lazer with a roll of silver dollars, which explode on impact and fly in every direction— but a three way dance is no DQ! The ref tries to send VP away, and Tycoon pulls out a pair of gold-plated brass knuckles from his tights and knocks out the Annihilator! Tycoon hooks the leg, calls the ref over, and gets the three count!
Results (aka TL;DR): Chet Skye def Yuppie VP 2* Kezzif def Dr. B 2* Mercenary def Magnus Muscle 2* Gothica def Valley Girl 1* Mr Tycoon def Lazer and Annihilator 2*

I’ve only had this game about two weeks now— no screwjob card at all. Just rolling with what I’ve got.
I plan to let everyone know what card I played in the match description. For example, I mentioned Big Boss Jr in one of the descriptions. The bit about the run in in the triple threat was poetic license, however.

Jan 1986
Our second week of the year kicks off with a challenge that happened back stage. Keith Blood was bumped into by Mike Bugg. Blood then shoved Bugg right into his brother, starting a backstage brawl also involving Skullgore. The sides were separated and the match was made. Blood was accompanied by Skullgore, Mike Bugg by his brother Mark.
This was actually a rather boring affair— lots of punches, kicks, and no one gaining much of an upper hand. Skullgore attempted to interfere, and Mark Bugg sprinted around the ring to tackle the Shrouded One. Both in ring combatants attempted to intervene, and the ref took a bump. When he came to, all four men were brawling in the ring, and the match was thrown out.
After order was restored and all four men escorted to the back, the Annihilator made his way to ringside. “Tycoon, you cost me a chance at the World Title tonight. I told Lazer I’d be back, but you cost me that chance. You’re going to allow me my redemption now by arm wrestling you into the dark ages! Got out here!”
However, instead of the billionaire’s music playing, latin percussion filled the arena. Emerging from the curtain was the debuting Chicano! He glided to the ring, oozing machismo, and grabbed a mic. “Hey yo. I hear... you’re looking to find a rich guy? Well, you found... the bad guy!” Instead of locking arms with the Annihilator, Chicano flicked his toothpick across the table and his fist found Annihilator’s jaw. Our second consecutive melee ensued, and the crowd went crazy.
Referees poured out of the back to separate the two. One stayed behind to officiate the tag match between the champs, Arizona Chance and Kezzif, and their opponents, Mercenary and Death Star Boy. AC started off against Mercenary. The two stared at each other before unloading hockey punches, neither concerned with defense. AC gained the upper hand and hit a snap suplex, and Mercenary used every bit of his agility to tag. DSB climbed the ropes, daring AC to approach. The adventurer charged across the ring, and countered a flying cross body attempt into a power slam, igniting the crowd. The heels took control shortly thereafter when Mercenary hit AC as he ran the ropes, stunning him long enough for DSB to hit a clothesline that sent the action outside.
AC was double teamed outside until Kezzif lumbered into the fray, threatening to turn a third consecutive segment into a pier six brawl. However, Kezzif widely returned to his corner. AC smashed DSB back inside the ring with a bulldog, which created the space necessary for the hot tag. Kezzif ran wild, bowling over both opponents. He then laid them side to side and landed a splash on both at the same time, pinning both his opponents for the win.
As the champs exited, Dr. B was intentionally early in his walk to the ring for his mic spot, glaring at AC as he casually strolled past on his way down the ramp. He reached the ring with a mic in hand.
“Those idiots might have taken my tag strap, but my boy Tycoon and I have big, big plans. I pity those idiots, cause they played right into our hands. See, everyone knows that Dr. B can roll with anybody. But with Tycoon providing the money, and Yuppie VP providing the smarts, and me providing the muscle, we’re unstoppable!”
Dr. B then joined the commentary team for the World Title match between Mr Tycoon and the heavily favored Lazer. Tycoon came to the ring with Yuppie VP and Big Boss Jr. As he found his corner, it looked like a big time boxing match, with all three of his associates prepping him for the bout. Lazer then entered, alone as always. The bell rang and the two combatants locked up, and Lazer shoves Tycoon to the mat and flexed. Tycoon looked visibly shocked at the strength of the Lazerlock master. In a call back to their spot last week, Lazer gorilla pressed Tycoon and sent him over the top, landing on Yuppie and the Boss while Dr B downplayed the importance of the moment from the commentary table.
Tycoon was able to get a shot in after Yuppie jumped on the apron and took a blow from Lazer, allowing him to sneak behind for a forearm to the back of the head. Tycoon then spent several minute grinding down his opponent with punches, kicks, and holds. Lazer made his comeback, no-selling some punches before hitting a series of suplexes. As he started to apply the Lazerlock, Boss jumped on the apron, which caused Lazer to break the hold and deal with Boss. As the ref separated Lazer and the Boss, Dr. B grabbed the championship belt from the announce table and tossed it to Yuppie, who entered the ring and laid out the champ from behind. Tycoon locked in the Money Maker, but Lazer was out cold before he was touched by Tycoon. The ref turned around, saw Lazer knocked out, and stopped the match. It’s a new champion! Tycoon was handed the belt, and he, Dr. B, Yuppie and Boss celebrated over the prone now-former champion.
Results: Keith Blood v Mike Bugg Double DQ 1* Annihilator v Chicano Arm Wrestling Skit 3* Arizona Chance and Kezzif def Mercenary and Death Star Boy 3* Dr. B Mic Spot 4* Mr Tycoon w/ Big Boss Jr def Lazer 3*

Jan 1986, Week 3
The go home show before this month’s PPV kicks off with Cesar Sleaze vs Rad Racer. Both have recently debuted new looks and attitudes, so this match was made as a chance to show their stuff. (New foil cards purchased for both.)
Sleaze spent the first few seconds backing off from the initial lockup so he could bark at the crowd. The third time he did that, Rad blasted him from behind with a drop kick while Sleaze jawed at the crowd, getting a big pop from the fans. Sleaze angrily jumped back into the ring, and Rad was able to use his anger against him, sending a charging Sleaze into the corner where he was beat down. Sleaze gained the upper hand with an eye poke followed by a DDT. This stunned Rad, who was set up perfectly for the Twisted Mister neckbreaker. Sleaze hooked the leg for a three count.
A video montage then played of Lazer and Kezzif lifting together. Lazer was benching an insane amount of weight while Kezzif spotted. Lazer racked the weight, sat up, stared directly at the camera, and said “Mr Tycoon— I’m coming for you. Owwww!!!”
We return to the ring for a tag team match between the Insectoids and their opponents Keith Blood and Skullgore, who were all involved in a brawl last week. The Commish announced that the winner of their tag match would receive a shot at the tag titles. The Insectoids were squashed like bugs (pun definitely intended) in a quick match which saw the heels attack before the bell and never let up. Blood hit the Crucifix on Mike Bugg as Skullgore beat down Mark. Mark was thrown back in his corner, and inexplicably signaled that he was OK to start the match. Blood hit his second Crucifix of the evening and scored a pinfall. Blood and Skullgore grabbed mics and christened themselves the new tag team of “Blood and Gore”. They challenged Arizona Chance and Kezzif for a title match at next week’s PPV.
The World Champ Mr Tycoon then sauntered out with his newly won gold and grabbed a microphone, accompanied by Yuppie VP. “This is exactly as things should be around here,” he started. “The richest guy in the room has the gold. Bwahaha!!! But there’s another guy who wants some gold too. He also knows how to read the tea leaves, and he knows who to join to make his desires a reality. Come on out!”
The unmistakeable Latin percussion blared through the arena as Chicano emerged. He flicked his toothpick at a fan near the entrance ramp, and a mic was handed to him as he entered the ring. “Hey, yo! These guys are right. Chicano knows who the rich guy is. Yuppie here... he’s the smart guy. Dr. B... he’s the tough guy. But Chicano? I’m the bad guy! And whoever wins at the pay per view? Me and Yuppie are coming for those tag titles!”
A chorus of boos serenaded the trio as they cleared the ring for the main event, a TV title match between champion Chet Skye and Dr. B. Skye learned from last week about the numbers game that Tycoon’s faction was running, so he asked Mr Bonsai for help, while Dr. B had Big Boss Jr in his corner. The two started the match and locked up, and Dr B easily overpowered his much smaller opponent, send Skye flying (pun also definitely intended) across the ring. Dr B was dominant early on, with clubbing blows and body slams interrupted only by Dr. B pausing to flex and/or admonish the crowd. Dr B lifted Skye over his head, but Skye wiggled out and crushed him with a superkick that staggered the big man, who tumbled to the outside.
Skye nailed his opponent with a plancha to the outside, but tweaked his knee on the landing. The hobbled Skye rolled Dr. B back into the ring, but could not climb the ropes fast enough due to his injury. Dr. B recovered enough to stun Skye while on the second rope, then climb up and superplex Skye. This was enough to set up the Clubber, and Dr. B becomes the second member of his stable to achieve singles gold in as many weeks.
Results: Cesar Sleaze (foil) def Rad Racer (foil) 2* Lazer and Kezzif Pumping Iron 4* Blood and Gore (Keith Blood and Skullgore) def The Insectoids 2* Mr. Tycoon, Yuppie VP, and Chicano Trio Trash Talk 2* Dr. B def Chet Skye for TV Title 3*

Jan 1986 PPV
From the Canada Centre in the Great White North, we have our first PPV of the year. The opening bout is Chet Skye’s contractually obligated rematch for the TV Title against the newly crowned Dr. B. The rest of the newly named Billion Dollar Team accompanied him to ringside, but Dr. B sent Mr. Tycoon, Yuppie VP, and Chicano to the back as he wanted to prove to everyone he could handle matters on his own. The bell rang, and Skye unleashed a flurry of punches, kicks, and a lariat that staggered the big man, and finally a drop kick felled him. Skye climbed to the top rope and attempted a diving elbow, but Dr. B gathered himself enough to roll out of the way. Infuriated and embarrassed, Dr. B beat Skye mercilessly with his fists, forearms, and feet, and he punctuated his assault with a power slam.
Skye was reeling, but as Dr. B used an Irish whip to sent Skye into a corner, Skye dodged a spear attempt that saw Dr. B injure his shoulder. Skye quickly jumped outside, grabbed his opponents injured arm, and wrapped it around the ring post several times, finally applying a hanging arm bar through the ropes, breaking the hold when the ref hit a four count to not be DQ’ed. Skye reentered the ring to be nailed with the Clubber. However, the injured Dr. B could not hook the leg, allowing Skye to drape a leg across the bottom rope, breaking the count. Dr. B celebrated as if he had won, and Skye seizes the opportunity, ascending the turnbuckle. The ref pointed out that the match was still ongoing, and Dr. B turned around to receive a Torpedo Dropkick onto the injured shoulder, which led to a three count and the second title change in two weeks.
The Billion Dollar Team sprinted to ringside, but Skye was able to escape through the crowd with his belt, met in the stands by his partner Jessie Wild. In the back, Honest Al interviewed Gothica, who made a strong case that she should be next in line for a Ladies Title shot.
The Annihilator looked menacing as he came to the ring for his match with Chicano, looking for retribution after being embarrassed at his arm wrestling challenge previously. The Billion Dollar Team (hereafter BDT), however, still angry over the TV Title loss, laid out Annihilator in a four on one attack before the match started. This attack left him bloodied, and though he proudly refused medical attention, the moment the bell rang Chicano finished the assault with the Straight Edge cross power bomb for a three count.
BDT finally left the ring, allowing a mysterious Zen to make his way to the ring. He gave an impassioned plea for others to stand with Lazer against the BDT before they took over. Mr. Bonsai came to the ring with a package, and told Zen “It’s dangerous to go alone. Take this.” Zen stared at the package, and left the ring with the package, but without opening it.
The next match was a Tag Title bout between the challengers Skullgore and Keith Blood (Blood and Gore) and the champs Arizona Chance and Kezzif. As usual, Arizona started off for the champs, while Skullgore began for the challengers. They locked up, and AC sent Skullgore into the ropes. He leapfrogged, dropped down, then hit a drop toe hold to take control. AC tagged in his giant partner, and Skullgore vacated the ring rather than deal with Kezzif. He tagged in Blood, who punched and kicked Kezzif several times. The big man looked down and laughed, reared back for a huge punch, and Blood scrambled to his corner to tag in Skullgore.
The heels consulted with each other, and Skullgore rotates tonplace Kezzif’s back to their corner. Blood snuck in and hit a chop block on Kezzif, who buckled to one knee. Now he was looking Skullgore in the eye, and the bone master commenced taking his best shots. Kezzif absorbed everything, and looked like a tree about to topple, when he grabbed Skullgore and simply fell on top of him. The pile of broken bones and the fallen giant slowly made their way to their corners, simultaneously tagging their partners. AC went nuts, and after a lariat, hit The Last Crusade for the pinfall.
Finally, Lazer came to ringside and awaited Mr Tycoon. The champ made his way to ringside with the BDT, Dr B’s arm in a sling. As Lazer’s name was announced, he grabbed the mic from the ring announcer. “I didn’t come to this fight alone.” From the back came Zen (still carrying his package) and Arizona Chance. Lazer continued, “I also made a phone call to a buddy in Texas. He owes me a favor, so I called it in. Owwwww!!” Out for the first time came Devin Van Winkle, the Texas champion. This evened the odds for the title match.
Predictably, chaos ensued. After about five minutes of rule following, dominated by Lazer, Yuppie VP grabbed Lazer’s leg as he ran off the ropes. Van Winkle shoved Yuppie, and a brawl broke out. Lazer grabbed Tycoon and whipped him to the turnbuckle. Dr. B grabbed Lazer’s leg in the opposite corner as he set up for the Lazer Splash. Big Boss Jr unwrapped the turnbuckle pad while Tycoon remained there, stunned. Lazer kicked off Dr B, went airborne for the splash, and Chicano pulled Tycoon out of the way, sending him chest and neck first into the exposed metal. Lazer grabbed his neck, choking, and Tycoon locked in the Money Maker from behind. The referee finally returned to the in ring action, and called for the bell. Tycoon and the BDT took off, gold securely in tow.
Results: Chet Skye def Dr. B for TV Title 3* Gothica 1on1 w/ Honest Al 3* Chicano def Annihilator 1* Zen Dramatic Promo 3* Arizona Chance and Kezzif def Skullgore and Keith Blood retaining Tag Titles 2* Mr Tycoon def Lazer retaining World Title 2*

Now that month 1 is complete, I’m open to suggestions on how to improve this. I know it’s wordy, but I want to be reasonably descriptive. Is it working? Is it entertaining? Is anyone reading?

With no suggestions, I’m left to decide how to continue... hmmm...
I’ll just be describing the finishes in order to not make it wall o text. Hopefully, this will let me spend less time doing it and readers less time to get to the good stuff.
Month 2 (and we’ll beyond) is completed, just need to get the results here.

Feb 1986 Week 1
Backstage, prior to the show, Honest Al caught up with Lazer following his championship defeat. Lazer stated, very simply, “I’m going to pour everything I have into getting that title back. I know that since I lost my rematch, I go to the back of the line. Circumstances were screwy, but I’m not going to make it an excuse. I’m going to use it for motivation!” Lazer was then bumped into by World Champ Mr. Tycoon. “You want to jump the line? Just beat me in a match tonight, and I’ll give you another title shot. But lose, and you’ll never get another chance.”
Our show this week opens with a match between Chet Skye and Cesar Sleaze. In a fairly one sided match, Skye gets a clean win with the Torpedo Dropkick.
Arizona Chance then took on The Annihilator. The fans were scared when Annihilator caused a ref bump and grabbed AC’s whip from ringside, but thrilled when Red Pirate Rogers ran in and grabbed the whip, allowing AC to hit a lariat followed by The Last Crusade for the victory.
Mercenary and Star Boy then put on a technical clinic. The long match was filled with counters and the match went back and forth. Despite this, the fans were not very interested, and Star Boy took a huge risk off the top rope to try to get the crowd hyped up. Unfortunately, his Phoenix Splash attempt missed Mercenary, who capitalized with the Canadian Cloverleaf for the submission win.
Valley Girl and Ladies Champ Princess Starbright then wrote another chapter in their six year long rivalry. Valley Girl hit the Chill Pill for the victory, grabbed a mic, and cut a promo against Gothica about how she’s the not number one contender now that Valley Girl beat the champ.
For the main event, Lazer entered first, followed by Mr. Tycoon and the entire Billion Dollar Team. The referee intervened, sending the team back to the locker room, but Dr. B refused to go. Mr. Tycoon explained on the mic, “Lazer, I said if you beat me you’d get a title shot... but this is a triple threat match! Bwahahahaha!!” Lazer fought bravely in what was essentially a handicap match, and managed to dump Dr. B and lock in the Lazerlock on Tycoon. However, Big Boss Jr smashed Lazer with his cane, and as there are no DQs under triple threat rules, Tycoon simply rolled up Lazer for the pinfall.

Feb 1986 Week 2
“Well, I guess I need to start over again. Time to jerk the curtain.” A dejected but somehow still optimistic Lazer opened our show this week against the debuting Soul Daddy. Lazer pummeled his opponent without much resistance. Soul Daddy barely put up a fight, and after a Lazer Splash, Soul Daddy rolled out of the ring and walked to the back, allowing himself to be counted out while muttering to himself. Lazer stood in the ring, looking like he kissed his sister.
The camera panned back to Honest Al, who was interviewing a fired up Chet Skye. “I’m going to show the fans what I’m all about. Im more than a tag team specialist, more than an opening match guy, more than a cruiserweight. I’m going to show everyone that Chet Skye is a main event, unstoppable force, with no ceiling and unlimited upside.” The fans exploded.
Mercenary faces off against Zen. Zen, still carrying the unopened package, paused during the action several times to ensure its safety. He managed to reverse a diving elbow drop from Mercenary into a Triple Force for the pinfall. He then cradled the package like a baby on the way to the back.
Mr. Codger then had an announcement. “Fans, we have emptied our checking account to bring you the best wrestling possible. To do that, we need to bring in big names, sometimes from other sports. I present to you a video from our latest signing... Bobby Blitzworth!” A well put together montage of The Blitz’s football career and his training regimen plays. This is the rare instance where a vignette actually works.
Finally, a tag match pitting The Silver Screen (Arizona Chance and Kezzif) versus Billion Dollar Team members Yuppie VP and Chicano. Mr Tycoon and Dr B accompanied Yuppie and Chicano. Kezzif dominated his competition, tagged in AC, who had a flurry of offense until his eyes were raked by Yuppie. The heels wore down AC. He reversed a Stock Market Crash attempt into a DDT, and made the hot tag to Kezzif. The big man laid waste to both BDT members. But, as Tycoon distracted the ref, Dr. B entered and hit two Clubbers on Kezzif, then helped Chicano and Yuppie lift Kezzif to the top turnbuckle, seated facing the ring post. Chicano used the elevation to hit the Straight Edge, which was enough for the three count and NEW tag team champs.
Results: Lazer def Soul Daddy via countout 1* Chet Skye 1 on 1 with Honest Al 4* Zen def Mercenary via pinfall 2* The Blitz Training Montage 4* Yuppie VP and Chicano def Arizona Chance and Kezzif for the Tag Team Championship 2*

Feb 1986 Week 3
Chet Skye opened the action again this week, despite his impassioned promo last week about wanting a chance at the big time. He faced off against Cesar Sleaze. Sleaze got his best offense in against the crowd’s emotions, but did nothing to deter Skye and his new attitude. After quickly dispatching his overmatched opponent, Skye screamed into the camera, “Give me somebody worth fighting Codger!! I’m the TV Champ dagnabbit!”
After the match, the Billion Dollar Team came to the ring. As Skye made his way to the back, Dr. B looked ominously at Skye’s title, as he was the only member of the BDT without gold around his waist. Tycoon spoke first. “Allow me to introduce your new tag team champions— the best team money can buy— Yuppie VP and Chicano!” Chicano seemed a bit upset that his name was announced second. He grabbed the mic from Tycoon. “Hey, yo. Did you see last week? When I singlehandedly got that giant goof Kezzif on my shoulders and drove him through the mat? I was oozing machismo!” Yuppie spoke up at that point. “You know, I played a role too. I planned the whole thing out. If it wasn’t for Dr. B’s muscle and my plan, you wouldn’t have any gold right now.” Chicano glared at Yuppie, and slowly turned his gaze to Dr. B. “At least I HAVE some gold.” Tycoon and Yuppie jumped between the smirking Chicano and the furious Dr. B. The fans were confused why success would drive a group apart and didn’t really buy it.
Lazer was in the back, and spoke to the camera. “When the Lazer came here four plus years ago, it was for three reasons. 1, to win championships. 2, to create great memories for you, the fans. And 3, to be an inspiration to all the little Lazers out there. Well, lately I’ve lost title matches, had some bad memories created, and I’ve let down the little Lazers. For that, I apologize. I promise that from this point forward, I’m going to fulfill my reasons for being here. What I’ve found out is I can’t do it alone. But with guys that share my vision and my commitment, we will destroy the Billion Dollar Team and take back the titles they have stolen from us.” The camera zoomed out, and Lazer was surrounded by Kezzif, Arizona Chance, Red Pirate Rogers, and Zen. “If I can quote Thomas Paine, if we don’t hang together, we will surely hang separately. We’re taking this fed back from the Billion Dollar Team. Owwww!” As the camera fades out, AC can be heard muttering “Wasn’t that Ben Franklin?”
The Fellowship, Rogers and Kezzif walked to the ring for their match with the newly formed Gramercy Riffs, Soul Daddy and Johnny Kobra. The Fellowship was accompanied by Lazer, AC, and Zen. Rogers and Kezzif worked together seamlessly, while Kobra and Soul Daddy were working out the kinks. Rogers hit the Swashbuckler on Soul Daddy for the pinfall.
The men gave way to the ladies for the main event, with Gothica squaring off with Valley Girl. The winner would be named Number One Contender for the ladies title. It turned out to be a sloppy match with several botched spots, and the fans started chanting “BOR-ING!” VG ended things suddenly with the Chill Pill and got some go away heat.

Feb 1986 Week 4
For the second consecutive month ABCW has sold out the Canada Centre for a PPV. Our opening match features Gothica and Princess Starbright facing off. Commissioner Mr. Codger decided before the match that this would be a non-title match, which incensed the normally cool and collected Gothica. Her rage caused her to injure herself going for a top rope to the outside moonsault (which she missed), and she was rolled back in by Starbright for the Rainbow Connection and a three count. Medical staff announced later in the show that Gothica would miss significant action.
Billion Dollar Team members Chicano and Yuppie VP defended their tag team titles against The Fellowship. As would be a theme tonight, members of thee BDT and the as yet unnamed alliance of baby faces came to support their friends. In a surprisingly clean finish, the Red Pirate was nailed by the Market crash from Yuppie and Kezzif could not make it in time for the save. After the match, Lazer grabbed a mic and congratulated Chicano and Yuppie on “an honorable victory”. He then went on to state that they proved they deserved to be champions, unlike their boss Mr. Tycoon.
He then put down his mic, as his singles match with Dr. B was next. The two behemoths pounded each other, hitting plenty of high impact moves. The victory was won by Lazer when he ducked under a Clubber attempt, hit a chop block, and applied the Lazerlock. Faced with injury, Dr. B reluctantly submitted. That earned laughter from Chicano, who was stared down by Yuppie and Tycoon.
Arizona Chance then stepped into the ring to challenge for the Piranha’s Cruiserweight Title. The BDT left the ringside area, and then so did the baby faces. AC dominated the matchup, but just after AC hit the Last Crusade, Dr. B ran in and attacked... Piranha? AC looked dumbfounded for a moment, but as Dr. B rolled out of the ring, the ref had no choice but to signal a DQ victory for the Piranha. Dr. B screamed “No gold for you, punk!” as he made his way backstage.
Dr. B walked backstage past a flabbergasted Honest Al, and Chet Skye was with him. “Al, this just shows the mismanagement of this company. Codger keeps me out of the mainstream, he allows Tycoon’s crew to do whatever they want without any consequences, and if this keeps up, I don’t know how anyone is supposed to work here. Hey Codger— I did get a phone call from a guy I know down south. He was telling me that WoW was looking for a new guy to challenge for a championship. What do you have to say about that?” Skye then made a mic dropping motion and walked off.
Mr. Tycoon and the BDT laughed their way to the ring before the main event. Tycoon spoke to the crowd. “There’s nobody here who can touch us! Bring on this mystery opponent. Me and my crew will make it so he’ll never earn money in this business again!” Mr. Codger appeared at the ramp and had an announcement. “Tycoon, you’re right about one thing. No one here has earned the shot at your title. But the fans deserve a title match. So, I placed a call to my friends in Texas— and they told me they had a guy that could give you a fight. So, I give you: Devin Von Winkle!” The Texas champion walked the aisle to a thunderous ovation while Tycoon was apoplectic in the ring.
“One other thing, Tycoon,” continued Codger. “If anyone interferes, you’re stripped of your title. Hey Skye, hows that for taking control back?” The BDT was ushered out by security, and Tycoon and Van Winkle squared off. Van Winkle dominated early, and Tycoon was reeling until he hit a low blow while shielding the view of the referee. He then worked over the neck, setting up for the Money Maker, but Devin dodged a running clothesline and came back with a cross body of his own. He signaled for the Van Winkle Claw, and locked it in, but it was too close to the ropes and Tycoon got a foot on them to break the hold. While the ref was backing Devin away, Tycoon exposed the lower turnbuckle. When Devin charged back in, Tycoon hit a drop toe hold that planted Devin’s face on the exposed steel. Blood poured out of his forehead as Tycoon locked in the Money Maker. The picture of the bloodied Devin locked in Tycoon’s finisher graced the cover of that month’s Pro Wrestling Informer magazine.

March 1986 Week 1
“Hey Chet, come here for a second,” said Mr. Codger prior to this week’s show. “I’ve heard what you’ve said, and I think you’re right. You’re main eventing tonight. You’ve earned it. Just be careful what you wish for, and who you call out.” A snarling Dr. B walked past the two, paused to stare at Chet’s TV Title, and continued past.
In ring action kicked off with Yuppie VP quickly dispatching with Rad Racer via the Stock Market Crash. Yuppie took the opportunity to trash his tag partner Chicano, for taking the night off.
World Champ Mr Tycoon next fought Arizona Chance in a non-title match. Yuppie stayed at ringside along with Big Boss Jr, while Kezzif and Red Pirate Rogers accompanied AC. It seems that the newly named faction The Merry Men simply wanted to even the odds, not stack them in their favor. No outside interference took place, and Tycoon cleanly applied the Money Maker and put AC to sleep.
The ringside area was cleared by security, and Magnus Muscle sprinted to the ring, followed by the calm, unemotional Mercenary. Magnus caughtbhis opponent by surprise with his energy, and quickly overwhelmed the usually resilient Mercenary. Magnus plowed through his opponent with the Flying Shoulderblock for the victory. After the match, Mercenary got u, put on his shades, said “I’m cool, no worries,” and held his head high despite getting in almost no offense.
In a night of squashes, the theme continued in the fourth match, with Lazer running roughshod over Skullgore. Keith Blood attempted to interfere, but was blasted off the apron by Lazer, and into the barricade face first. Lazer then delivered a bone crushing (see what I did there?) Lazer Splash and locked in the Lazerlock.
Our main event pitted high flying TV champ Chet Skye against bruiser Dr. B, with Mr. Tycoon at ringside. The two went back and forth, with Skye hitting drop kicks and a cross body, and Dr. B catching Skye and turning a top rope cross body attempt into a crushing power slam. Dr. B distracted the ref while Tycoon, for the third time in two months, removed a turnbuckle pad. Dr. B attempted to fling Skye into the steel, but Skye reversed and sent the back of Dr. B’s head into the turnbuckle. Dr. B staggered around, and Skye hit the Torpedo Dropkick, which sent Dr. B back into the exposed steel face first. He fell almost lifeless to the canvas, where Skye picked up a pinfall to retain his title.
Dr. B staggered to his feet after the match, but fell back down and had to be brought to the back on a stretcher. He would later be diagnosed with a severe concussion, knocking him out of action for several weeks.
