Sports Entertainment 12/12/96 Chitown Complex
1) Magnifico over Brute. Massacre tries to attack after the match, but Magnifico gets away using a series of aerial moves.
2) Average Guy and Strongarm Thompson, with Otto Thompson, are with Al. Al asks Guy what it was like to finally get a win over his son. Guy says that it felt good to show the kid what the old man can still do, and to remind him that the old man learned all these tricks in the ring while he was making the money that he sent home to Rusty and his momma. “Rusty likes to say my life then was all wine, women, and song. Well, kid, I hate wine. There was a lot of beer though, I can’t deny that. You know what? I think a man deserved a bottle or 10 of his favorite suds after spending 20 minutes kicking ass and getting ass kicked. It was like a lubricant for the sore bones and muscles. I did a good job of not taking anything else for the pain, like some of the boys did. A six-pack and a good night’s sleep was my painkiller. I got a win over Rusty, but I gotta get one more. Back in the day, when you want to beat a man for good, you did it in a cage. Now, I know you still do that now, but it ain’t the same. Rusty, if you think you can handle it, let me show you the error of your ways inside a real man’s cage. I’ll whip your ass one last time, and I’ll be gone. You’ll know you’ve been whipped, win or lose, kid. Your old man can still go. You’ve felt it. Can you handle it one more time?”
3) In a non-title match, Suicide defeats Piranha.
4) Quan and Tatters Gage over Rager Gage and Pharaoh
5) The ring announcer asks the crowd if they would like a chance to meet the most influential cruiserweight of all time. A chant of Manga starts up. GM’s music plays, but Dragonfly struts walk. “Here I am, the most influential cruiserweight of all time, past, present, and future. Obviously, you queued up the wrong tune. Hit my music.” Manga’s music played again, and he came out. The two men argued, but nothing physical occurred.
6) Dark Mauler, Vin Voltage, and the Mad Arab over Destruction. Crash took the pinfall.
7) Beer Can Man over Iron Mask.
8) HFK and VTC are out. VTC wants everyone to enjoy “his lady” retaining the ladies title in the next match. HFK then says that he wants everyone to enjoy them winning the tag title from The Insiders at ToQ. He closes with “you’re welcome, Blaine.”
9) Valkyrie over The Queen of Mean to retain the Ladies title.

Weekend Attitude 12/21/96 Empire Gardens
After welcoming everyone to the show, the announcers tell us about a debut happening tonight. A new wrestler will make his first appearance and has an interesting story.
1) The debut is up first. The newcomer introduces himself as “Studmuffin the Wrestling Baker.” He says he was a childhood friend of Blockbuster Brohan, and has always tried to follow in his footsteps. “He is my idol. I’m not ashamed to say it. Everything I do is to be more like him. After all my hard work, WoW is going to see, firsthand, that I’ve been very successful at my goal.” However, Reptile Ranger defeat Studmuffin.
2) Samson and Big, Bad Doctor over Vin Voltage and the Mad Arab.
3) Elara Nexus over The Queen of Mean.
4) Zeke Mullet, with Cletus Mullet, over Herman Nerd.
5) Blockbuster Brohan comes out and calls out The Hunk. Hunk asks Brohan if he’s talked to “Stuffmuffin” yet. “He seems awfully jazzed to talk to you, Blockie. You really hung around with that dork?” Brohan says he’s never heard of the guy, and warns Hunk not to say his name again. Hunk says fine, and then asks Brohan if he expects Hunk to believe that the Insiders will let Brohan lose the title without interfering. “I told you that I’m going to personally escort the Insiders out of the building. I don’t need them to beat you.” Hunk, “I get it. That’s what “Duffstuffer” is for. Hold on, I didn’t say the name you hate. You bring “Mudsnuffer”. and I’ll stuff his head up your-you got the image, right? See you next week.”
6) The P4V commercial for the Tournament of Queens features Gorgon Tokoro, Jenny Dreadful, Succubus, and Devastatia.
7) Iron Mask and Cobalt Commander over Beer Can Man and Cabb.
8) Femme Fatale over Sgt. Shipley.
9) Suicide retains the cruiserweight title in a three-way with Tatters Gage and Dragonfly.

Tournament of Queens 12/28/96 Golden Plaza
We open with Al announcing the Year-End Awards. “It’s going to be easy, because three men are taking home all the hardware. The Whole New Order win everything. Blockbuster Brohan wins Wrestler of the Year, and you, the fans, somehow voted him Most Popular and Most Hated. We checked and rechecked the numbers, and that’s exactly what happened. The Insiders were, rightfully, team of the year. Let’s go to the ladies.”
1) Round 1, Match 1- Femme Fatale over Gorgon Tokoro.
2) Round 1, Match 2- Sgt. Shipley over Jenny Dreadful.
3) Round 1, Match 3- Devastatia over Elara Nexus.
4) Round 1, Match 4- Elfette over Succubus.
5) In a WoW tag team title match, The Insiders retain against HFK and VTC, with Valkyrie. At one point, Chicano knocks Val out with the “Team of the Year Trophy.”
6) Semi-Finals- Femme Fatale over Sgt. Shipley.
7) Semi-Finals- Elfette over Devastatia.
8) Before the next match, we see Brohan leading the Insiders to a limo parked out back. He tells them not to worry, that he’s got this. They enter and the limo pulls away. It stops about 30 ft. away and starts violently rocking. Brohan makes a comment about “the ladies must’ve already been ready to go.” The limo stops and Chicano’s head pops out the sunroof. He’s bleeding. He drops back in and HFK’s head pops out and gives Brohan the middle finger. Valkyrie climbs out of the limo, runs around to the driver’s side and opens the front door. She throws the driver out, and drives off herself with Brohan in pursuit. Back inside, Hunk is enjoying the spectacle. Brohan finally makes his way to the ring. Hunk retains the title.
9) Femme Fatale defeats Elfette to become the 1996 ToQ champion. Tiffany Fantasy comes out to present the trophy, but FF snatches it from her hands and walks off. Meanwhile, Jenny Dreadful has made her way to ringside unseen. As Tiffany watches FF leave, Jenny slips into the ring and catches Tiffany with The Summoning. “That was for this...” The screen shows the night that Tiffany’s “vacation” as Undermaster’s guest ended, when she slugged JD.

Monday Night Live 1/6/97 Mid-South Court
1) Succubus over Elara Nexus and Femme Fatale in a three-way.
2) The Insiders are out. They mention their title match next week against VTC and HFK, and how they will be done with “those degenerates” when that match is over. Chicano threatens Valkyrie if she gets in the way. They move on to the subject of expansion. BR, “if things don’t grow, they die. Its’ time for the WNE to grow. First off, don’t come to us. We know who we’re looking at, and it almost for sure isn’t you. Very few people in WoW are worthy to roll with this crew. If you are then we will find you, and let you prove yourselves to us. This will be a career-defining moment for those we choose, so if you pray then pray that we pick you.”
3) Jet Set Strutter and Big, Bad Doctor over Vin Voltage and The Mad Arab.
4) Herman Nerd over Iron Mask. In a rare moment, Herman asks for a mic. “Mask, you’re a real puzzle to so many of us. We don’t see how you and Commander beat Chance and the Detective. You two are as up and down as anybody we’ve ever seen. Are you sure you’re not still a bunch of guys swapping gear? I drew the lucky straw and got the crappy one today, that’s for sure.” Cobalt Commander entered the ring, but went to his partner. CC, “Watch you mouth, Nerd. Mask had a good reason for losing to you today. He’s-he’s focused on something else. The man’s only flaw is that he’s too good.” Nerd, “He lost because he’s too good. OK. I really don’t get you guys.” CC, “You could never grasp the complexities of this man’s mind. How Solar and X are gone is irrelevant. They are, and we consider that a mission accomplished.”
5) Tatters Gage over Quan.
6) Destruction Crash comes out. He says that before he can be 100% accepted into Destruction, he must beat Beer Can Man one-on-one…no help or guidance. BCM comes out and says that he’s going to kill Crash’s dream once and for all. In a NO DQ match, Destruction Crash defeats Beer Can Man. Chopper and Cutthroat come out for the final celebration.
7) In a non-title Falls Count Anywhere match, Valkyrie defeats Gorgon Tokoro.
8) In a three-way to determine The Hunk’s challenger at Battle Royale, Ace of Spades defeats Blockbuster Brohan and Lazer.

Sports Entertainment 1/16/97 Rassletorium
1) In a three-way match, O’ Hooligan over Fireball and Big, Bad Doctor.
2) Exotic Rick comes out. “Poor little Lazer is feeling like a lost soul, huh? Lazer, you come out here right now and I will give a career path straight into the lost column.” Lazer defeats Exotic Rick.
3) Gorgon Tokoro and Femme Fatale over Bombshell and Mynx. Tokoro continued to assault Bombshell after the match. Lifeguard Chip came down to protect her, and ended up caught in the Thighs of Thunder himself.
4) Studmuffin is out again for a rematch with Reptile Ranger. Stud admits he got a little starstruck at his debut, and it cost him. “To be wrestling in the same company as my friend and idol, Blockbuster Brohan, overwhelmed me. While I’m still thrilled, and I am really, really looking forward to talking to my good friend again, I am ready for this match. Reptile Ranger, in the name of Blockbuster Brohan, you are going down!” Ranger defeats Studmuffin.
5) Dirk Dungeon over Rager Gage.
6) Al stops Iron Mask and Cobalt Commander backstage. He asks them about Herman Nerd’s comments, and how others have made the same observation. IM, “Al, one such as yourself cannot possibly grasp how a diabolical mind like mine operates. I’m operating at a higher plane of thought than anyone. Plans upon plans are whirling around in my head. A match against a nobody like Herman Nerd is but an afterthought to one such as I. Do not dare question me again about something as mundane as wins and losses.” CC, “You heard the man. He’s smarter than you and everybody else. He doesn’t lose when it matters, and Herman Nerd doesn’t matter.”
7) Pharaoh over Massacre.
8) We see a P4V commercial for the Battle Royale. Blockbuster Brohan, Mercenary, Dark Mauler, and Troglove are featured. Brohan vows to win the BR and take his title back at the February P4V.
9) HFK and VTC, with Valkyrie, end the Insiders record-setting reign by taking the WoW tag titles.

Weekend Attitude 1/25/97 Boston Arena
1) We open with SilverGod, who accepts Average Guy’s challenge to a cage match. “Our little family feud ends then, Daddy. You will be carried from the cage regretting every bit of abuse you heaped on my young head.”
2) In a three-way match, Strongarm Thompson, with Otto Thompson, over Notorious BB and Chief Buffalo.
3) In a Tournament of Queens finals rematch, Elfette defeats Femme Fatale. Elfette suggests FF hand over her title shot.
4) Grand Manga over Dragonfly.
5) Iron Mask over Herman Nerd. IM is especially savage this time around, and Herman pays the price.
6) HFK, VTC, and Valkyrie are celebrating their title win from last week. HFK says they’ve been celebrating since last week, non-stop. VTC asks The Insiders if they’d like to go on another limo ride like last time. Val promises they will at least drop them off in an area with pay phones so they can call Mommy Brohan for a ride. VTXC admits dropping them off in the middle of nowhere was “kind of mean.” Kid says it was “kind of deserved. That’s what happens when you go around treating people like crap.” VTC slips on a bald wig and starts imitating Brohan. Valkyrie does a good Chicano impression. She wonders what losers they’ve been scouting for their expansion. “I can’t imagine who would want to associate with that trash.” VTC, “Sorry, gents, this little squad is closed. We’ve got all we need right here. We know you would love to run with this 24/7 party, but you’ll have to settle for the Whole New Error as your best friends.”
7) Freakshow over The All-Pros.
8) The Whole New Era are out, and not in their usual “playful” mood. Hunk, Vlad, Chet, Val…anyone who has had the balls to step up to us…big mistake. Luck played a big part in any success you may have had over us, and that luck’s gone. Next time we cross paths, all those belts are coming home where they belong…the ONLY wrestlers in WoW worthy to carry them. You guys are the only error in this equation, Vlad. Your sad attempts at humor aside, nobody comes out of top of the Whole New Era more than once. We’re going to enjoy making you regret winning them in the first place. Val, we’ve got a special place for you…waxing our floors, making our sandwiches, or any other service we desire. Not THAT service, though, VTC may not have standards, but we do. Every minute you wear our belts is a minute of punishment we will put you through. Whole New Era means a lot of things, and it your case it means a whole lot of pain.”
9) 9) Mercenary retains the TV title against O’ Hooligan.

Battle Royale 1/30/97 Silver Stadium
1) In a WoW title match, HFK and VTC, with Valkyrie, over The Insiders to retain.
2) In the rubber match of their series, a weapons match, Femme Fatale over Elfette.
3) Mort’s Mausoleum is open with the Psycho Killers, Cadaver, and Jenny Dreadful. Mort says that Undermaster will be back, as he is always is. This time, his return shall be short-lived as the demons assembled before him will be there to meet him and end his return before it begins. “One of the many caskets you see in my mausoleum will be the Undermasters final vessel on his last ride out of here.”
4) In a WoW title match, The Hunk retains against Ace of Spades. Hunk goes to ringside to watch the Battle Royale from the announce desk. Blockbuster Brohan is the first guy out, and the two have a staredown.
5) In the Battle Royale, the participants are:
Big, Bad Doctor/Blockbuster Brohan/Zen/Fireball/O’ Hooligan/Troglove/Mercenary/Johnny Kobra/SilverGod/Strongarm Thompson/Beer Can Man/Quan/Rager Gage/Jet Set Strutter/Orion Northstar/Iron Mask/Lazer/Dirk Dungeon/Eventual Winner…Samson.
Despite his bravado, Brohan was the second person out. After being eliminated, he and Hunk got into a shoving match. Both men were sent to the back.

Well, I've managed to accidentally somehow reset my fed on my phone again. It's the second time in six months, and I even took precautions. I do wish they would put the "New" button in a harder-to-accidentally-press place on the screen, but maybe that's just me since nobody else seems to have ever done it. On top of that, once you hit the "new" button, the "yes" button, which confirms you want to start a new fed, is basically in the same place on the screen.
I e-mailed and haven't heard anything in a couple of days. I'm well aware of the world situation, so this probably isn't their priority. If it gets reset (again), I will finish up my run. Otherwise, I made it 17 yrs. and a month. Not bad.

In case this promotion has indeed shuttered its doors earlier than anticipated, I am going to share some of my short-term, and one long=term, plan. Like anything, plans can change if I fall in love with some new idea. By and large, though, this is the direction that the fed would take.
WoW title- Samson won the Battle Royale, and had already won the title from the Hunk at St. Valentine's Day Massacre (hadn't had a chance to post February before the reset). Brohan was going to win March Madness and then take the title from Samson at Champs Clash. He would hold it till later in '87. I hadn't decided who he would drop the title to. Over '97, '98. and '99, the title would be held, most likely, by someone from among a group of Brohan, Hunk, Samson, Undermaster, and Ace of Spades..with a couple of exceptions. March Madness in '99 would be won by Jet Set Strutter. He would go on to beat the champ at that time. Then, as the 20-year run draws to a close, Arizona Chance would win it from Strutter and the century would end with the legend himself on top.
Tag Titles- HFK and VTC would hold till summer, defending against a couple of top teams along the way...Destruction, Psycho Killers, etc. and win out. The Insiders wouldn't show up in the title picture till they won the Tag Team Invitational in June. They would take the titles back off the tourney win. That reign, length TBD, would be ended by (getting to that). Speaking of VTC, he and Valkyrie would remain together the whole time. I wasn't getting into any romances with Tiffany Fantasy.
As for the WNE, their expansion would involve them inviting Quan and Rager Gage to join. They would wrestle singly and as a team serving as hitmen for the WNE. As a sidenote, Studmuffin would approach them claiming to be the obvious choice since he's known Brohan since high school. Brohan would deny knowing him, and he would quickly disappear for good after a gang beatdown. It would later be revealed that they did indeed know each other, and that Brohan bullied him. Studmuffin, who was not all there, saw the bullying as Brohan's attempt to toughen him up. He honestly believed that they'd been buddies. This completely cemented Brohan as a heel. Even the Insiders, when they found out the truth, showed a little remorse. Quan and Rager would eventually realized they were being used and turn against the original WNE. They would suffer a beatdown at the hands of the Insiders. Pharaoh would save his old partner, and Damage Control would reunite. They would be the team to unseat the Insiders. The Gage Guyz one-on-one feud would very briefly be resurrected as Ragr would be angry that Tatters couldn't get over their recent past and help him as Pharaoh helped Quan. We find out Rager is truly over his brother. They have a brutal blow-off match, and both guys leave WoW. They don't team again for several years, until reuniting in XPW. The WNE would, in '99, implode under the weight of all those egos, and a three-way feud would result. They would stay broken up, too. No fingerpoke-of-doom trickery here.
Cruiserweight- No specific storylines, but Grand Manga will be the centerpiece as he has been the last few years. He could've very well ended up the record holder for most title reigns depending on how I played it. Dragonfly and Suicide would be his main challengers over the last 3 years.
Ladies- Valkyrie would hold it all of '97. Elfette would win the Tournament of Queens in December, and the two would feud. Elfette wouldn't win her first challenge, but she would eventually be the one to take it. Val would be the centerpiece over the last 3 years, winning and losing the title intermittently.
That's a look at how the championships would be handled. Two major storylines were in the works.
1) Iron Mask and Cobalt Commander would approach SilverGod about joining them. He would decline, and show disgust at their affiliation with BASILISK. Later, SilverGod would defeat Average Guy in a cage match. After the match, Mask and CC would enter the cage and confront Silver. They would attack him, and Average Guy, although in bad shape from the beating he took from SilverGod, would try to help his son. Both Reynolds men would be stretchered out. The Father and Son would reconcile as SG realized his Father tried to help him, and risked permanent injury, even though he'd just put a beatdown on AG. Average Guy and SilverGod are booked against Mask and CC. When the match occurs, SilverGod comes out as Average Son. Father and Son annihilate Mask and CC, and the BASILISK team disappear for good. Guy retires officially. Son goes back to being SilverGod, and essentially remains a heel.
2) Undermaster comes back in the summer of '97. He's by himself, claiming he needs no one, and still vowing to take WoW from Mr. Fantasy. One night, The Fantasy Family are listening to UM's threats when he says the word "Abaddon." Tiffany and Blake go into a trance, and attack their father from behind. She takes her stiletto off and nearly gouges her Dad's eye out. Fantasy is taken by medical and is gone for a long time. The Undermaster and The Fantasys try to take over. Al announces that Arizona Chance is coming in as interim commissioner. There was nothing in the loser-leave-town agreement that prevented him from being utilized this way. He does tell us that Detective X retired after being forced to leave WoW, and had opened his own security company. Chance fights the Fantasys in the office while UM fights in the ring. UM tricks Chance into getting physical with him by having Tiffany attack his wife, Sgt. Shipley. This breaks the contract and forces Chance out. When all hope seems lost, right before Survival of the Fittest, Mr. Fantasy returns. He reinstates Chance as a wrestler for one night. At SotF, Mr. Fantasy, Arizona Chance, and Sgt. Shipley take on Undermaster, and Blake and Tiffany Fantasy. Lots of stipulations, but it boils down to this. If UM's team wins, period, Fantasy signs over the company to his kids and he, Chance, and Shipley retire. If Mr. Fantasy's team wins, it's just a win and things go on....UNLESS...Mr. Fantasy pins Undermaster. If that happens, he will free the Fantasys from his "spell" and cease his political machinations. Of course, Fantasy does pin UM and wins WoW 100%. UM takes all three opponents finishers consecutively (Chance and Shipley team-up on her Power Loader) ending when MF hits his version of the Stunner for the win. UM frees the Fantasys, who don't remember anything since the night he took them over. UM swears they are free, but no one trusts him. To avoid any future issues, MF sets the kids up with a nice severance and they leave WoW for good. Subsequently, Mr. Fantasy disappears from TV as a character, after reinstating Arizona Chance. We don't see him again until the endgame.
This is how I planned on ending WoW. I couldn't come up with the appropriate grandiose storyline to end on, so I went the other direction. We hadn't seen Mr. Fantasy since the end of '97. He hadn't been mentioned. Everyone knew he was still in control, but he was 100% behind the scenes. At Beyond Wardome, the last show of '99, he would appear again (this BW was going to be held on New Years Eve). In the main event, Arizona Chance would've won the title or successfully defended it. It would be close to midnight. Chance, Shipley, and several wrestlers were in the ring celebrating with the fans and preparing to sing Auld Lang Syne at midnight. Mr. Fantasy would walk out and straight to the ring, acknowledging no one. At one minute till midnight, he would shock the world by announcing that 12am, 1/1/2000, WoW was no more. He'd liquidated the company's assets, and all wrestler contracts were null and void. Everybody was free agent. He took the belt from Chance and walked to the back. The shocked crowd starting leaving as both locker rooms emptied and bunch of confused wrestlers filled the ring.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed that. After writing it out, I feel worse than ever about the reset...so close. I haven't decided if I'm going to try this with MMW. I'm going to talk to a fellow player soon about an idea for MMR. We shall see.
