I never used a gimmick coin to get the Prince Sharif alt in the old game and so far in GM it has not appeared in my shop. I have have all of the other alt from Modern Mania Wrestling appear at least once but I have yet to see Prince Sharif. Has anybody else run into this?

I have the same problem but for me it's Pink Satin. I've been waiting endlessly for her

Unfortunately, those old Alts now show up in the store at the rarity level of their Status. Prince Sharif defaults to Upper Midcard, so buying the 3rd & 4th alts of the Openers and Midcarders will increase your odds of it showing up.
It’s not ideal and I wish I had known how it changed before I transferred my data into GM. I had a lot of cards at those higher levels one point away from being able to unlock the Alt.

Yeah same I had fully upgraded Chrysalis and Pink Champagne before GM came out. Then I figured out the new system and I was like AAAHHH

I had figured out the system and I had bought up most of the openers & midcarders. I even bought a few main eventers as well. On Saturday Prince Sharif finally showed up. So I need Gridiron & Black Plague alts. They have appeared at least twice so I'm not worried about them. I am going to start back buying up all of the uppermidcarders then the main eventers

My focus has been on any Wrestler version I might be missing for a Faction, Tag Team, Blood Feud, or Achievement pairing Wrestlers between 80sMWR and MMWGM (still not used to adding GM on the end).
