JWA Glory Episode 142

[Thumper Moore III]

Prior to the main event…
Hysteria by Muse hits as the arena goes dark, and a single spotlight shines down and silhouettes both Arizona and Veronica Chance. After the guitar kicks in, instead of the arena lights coming on, the spotlight changes color from white to red, then blue, then green, and finally yellow, before the single spotlight diverges into four beams which start swinging wildly about the JWA Studios, and the music transitions to Dynamite by BTS. Veronica and Arizona both start dancing their way down the aisle, holding their finger to their lips and touching it to fans cheeks, who bust out their own dance moves. Honest Sal is waiting at the podium.

HONEST SAL: Arizona, Veronica, welcome back! A huge around the world trip— and it looks like you two have debuted a new entrance combining elements of each of your personalities.

ARIZONA: (smiling sheepishly) It was her idea.

VERONICA: Stop it! (She playfully smacks him on the shoulder.)

SAL: Tell us about the trip, guys.

ARIZONA: I think we’d rather tell you about what we learned, Sal.

VERONICA: 28 days in isolation with another human being and you’re either going to come away from it committed to the other person or hating them.

ARIZONA: And I’m committed.

VERONICA: Me too!

ARIZONA: We’ve agreed to fully support each other’s careers, compromise when we have to, but each have the other’s best interest at heart.

VERONICA: Because we are stronger together than we are separately.

SAL: Glad to hear the marriage is on solid ground.

ARIZONA: Better than ever. In fact, for the next couple months, we’ve decided…

VERONICA: That we’re competing only as a power couple!

ARIZONA: That’s right Sal. Until we get the singles thing figured out between us, we’ve decided that even though there’s no belts involved—

VERONICA: And remember, nobody chases the gold like a Chance!

ARIZONA: — we’re going to prove we are the premier couple in JWA, and in wrestling!

VERONICA: So, gentlemen—

ARIZONA: And ladies—

VERONICA: Find yourselves a partner and come find us.

ARIZONA: We’ll be here, facing off against all comers— so long as it’s a man and a woman.

SAL: You’ve heard it here first— Arizona and Veronica are now a mixed tag team, and awaiting someone yo step up to the challenge!

[“The Relentless” Conor Caine]

We cut to Thorin running down a corridor outside the arena, looking over his shoulder. He rounds a corner and stops when he sees Conor Caine standing there, JWA title over his shoulder.

CAINE: You and Duke have had a lot of fun these past few months, blindsiding and hoodwinking everybody with the help of your two cronies. Well hopefully it’s starting to dawn on you that you’ve met your match in Relentless Aggression. Whatever’s left of your two boys back there when Mack is done with them, I’m gonna finish off in our handicap match, then we’re coming for you. Get ready, or get gone.

Caine walks past Thorin and makes his way into the VIP section to join his tag partner for the rest of the main event.

As Mongoose looks to lift up Penguino Penguin Kai music begins to play which distracts Mongoose this time and he meets Thorin and Tembleberry and Earl on the podium and he attacks Earl and Berry as Taylor runs away.

OOC: I'm a bit confused. Did Johnny Kobra come out to stop Thorin & Co? Did Penguin Kai students come out? Did Penguino leave the ring and come back?

(Duke whips Penguino hard into the turnbuckles. Penguino staggers out of the corner and Duke hits the ropes, catching Penguino with a bulldog headlock)

LeRay: What a maneuver and now Mongoose is back in the driver's seat!

Beeman: All is right with the world. Well, it WOULD BE if Thorin and the rest were at ringside, but c'est la vie.

LeRay: Duke might be trying to continue the attack but Penguino catches him with a jawbreaker! And now a dropkick and it sends Mongoose out to the floor!

Beeman: Lucky shot from the bird brain!

LeRay: Duke is... uhh... he's going under the ring?

Beeman: I'm sure it's all part of a plan, Mick.

LeRay: Penguino doesn't seem satisfied to let Frank McCorry administer a count out, so he's going out after Duke. Penguino is dragging Duke out from under the ring!

Beeman: That's unfair! Let the man do what he needs to do!

LeRay: Under the ring?

Beeman: It's not against the rules, is it?

LeRay: Penguino goes to toss Mongoose back into the ring and he - he slipped out! Penguino is looking confusedly at his flippers, but if I'm not mistaken Duke Mongoose has greased himself up!

Beeman: Nonsense! He's just worked up a hearty sweat!

LeRay: Duke carefully gets back into the ring and awaits Penguino, who comes into the ring and tries for a slam but Duke slips right out of Penguino's grip! Penguino now with a waistlock and Duke casually slides out! I'm telling you, Duke Mongoose is GREASED!

Beeman: And I'm telling you he's just very, very sweaty! And besides, if he WERE greased, then turnabout is fair play! Let's see how bird brain likes a taste of his own medicine!

LeRay: Oh, brother! FRANK! Check Duke for grease!

Beeman: Shh! Let Francis do his job.

LeRay: "Francis"? Oh please!

OOC he attacked Thorin and Co and th e music distracted you.

Mongoose goes for a punch from behind but Penguino rolls forward avoiding the punch and Duke begins to charge but Penguino spins behind him with a German suplex. Penguino sets him up and shouts ICEBREAKER!

Leray “Every birds favorite Brainbuster and Mongoose looks out. The cover Mccorry with the count 1 2 3 it’s over Penguino puts himself and Penguin Kai back on track.”
