Since this is the area for fantasy booking and similar stuff I figured I would put most of the ideas I have had that I can never really make work whether it was long term or short term. Also maybe provide some ideas that others can incorporate in their stories. Mostly doing this because I have a lot of ideas that I wish I could make work but just haven’t been able to so rather than letting them go unheard I figured just tell them.

Full 20 year story For the longest time I have tried writing a full story that will be a full play through in the game(so 20 years). I have tried making 13 fantasy feds work. I think the closest I’ve come to a full 20 years is only 1 full year. Which at the time was a huge accomplishment for me. I’ve seen all my failed feds and all the failed stories I either gave up on or just abandoned and feel bad that I never finished them. Even with my recent try with MMW Universe was a huge accomplishment for me, it is the only story where I got to a full year and then some, and I think at some point I might try and finish it but for the time being I’m not. Is there a reason to do a full 20 years? No not really but the amount of stories you can tell with that time makes the stories better. Like long term booking in real life. And it’s pretty rare here for anyone to get close(the closest I think was cotguy130’s WoW which got up to year 17 before he accidentally reset his fed and lost all his progress). I’ve tried pre writing the whole fed, I’ve tried writing it as I play the game, I’ve tried playing a few weeks then writing stories around them, and I’ve tried not even playing the game at all and just using the fictional characters and universe the great team behind this game has gave us to write stories. Maybe someday I will be able to write a full 20 year story whether it’s well thought out or just there, it’s something I would love to do.

Multiple promotions in one universe Another one I’ve tried maybe three times. I don’t know exactly how many times I’ve tried but I remember two at least, MMW Universe and Teeny’s Wrestle World which I named that because I was like oh it’s about a world with 3 wrestling promotions then afterwards I realized there’s literally a promotion called “Wrestle World”. Just like doing a full 20 year story, there isn’t really a real reason to do this besides well it's a fun idea. Also it is always fun when promotions either acknowledge each other or compete against each other or interact. Think of the invasion angle between WWE and WCW or Forbidden Door. One that I always think of is mriiams’s The Wrestling Project that not only has 3 promotions running simultaneously but also they put the ratings for each show at the bottom which I don’t know how they do it but it’s a neat touch that provides a little something extra. There’s also many ways to go through with this. You can make one promotion more wrestling focused while another is more story focused. Or you make one like a developmental promotion for another promotion.

A universe based on real life I kind of did this with MMW Universe by making one promotion essentially RAW and the other Smackdown. But this would use 80MWR rather than MMW. For the 80s I would use RnR as WWE, WW as NWA, and since I can’t really find an exact 1 to 1 for ABCW I figured I would either not use it or just use it for other things. Then when it transitioned into the 90s RnR would continue as WWE, WW would transfer to WCW, and ABCW would actually become ECW. I even wrote down who won what titles between 1980-1999. Even writing down what month they won them. And although the game doesn’t have a 1 to 1 for everyone(example Jeff Jarrett), I could use someone who has a similar gimmick. Also if a wrestler won a title at Wrestlemania I would just have them win the title at Champ Clash which is basically the equivalent. And like I mentioned before, ABCW would be used differently. I figured I could use ABCW to tell more of the pop culture feuds in the game. For example I would use ABCW to do the feud Dark World and have the feud take place during February 1986(since that’s when the first Zelda game came out). Of course this is very very very hard to achieve to perfection. With some main wrestlers missing and having to know not only everything about wrestling in the 80s and 90s but also all the pop culture references the games makes. Dyno has come pretty close with his recreations of ppvs with in game characters in the nostalgia section of the boards but even those are just one off events so it’s easier. Honestly I just had this idea because I thought it would be cool but there’s so much effort that you have to do before even start writing the fed is insane. And the game is constantly updating so just when you think you’re finished a new month passes and now there’s a new wrestler that you have to figure everything out about and add to your workload. Which isn’t a complaint but just adds more difficulty. If someone even comes close to making this(maybe just a year or so) would be pretty neat to see though and even when I write my own feds I do like to take inspiration in what happened in real life and incorporate it.

Champions based on status This is a simpler idea that I had. Basically the only people I would make world champion of my fed would be wrestlers with legendary or main eventer status and the TV champion can be held by anyone between midcarder to upper midcarder status. But if a main eventer was world champion or midcarder was TV champion I would 1, not make their title reign as long as the higher status wrestlers, or 2, make them a transitional champion. Example, to get the title of Dr. B(a main eventer) right away I would have him lose it to Dude Brohan. Or if I wanted to switch the title from one face to another face that are both legendary then instead of having them fight each other I would have the first champ lose their title to a lower status heel and then immediately lose it to the second face. For titles like the cruiserweight or ladies title I would follow the same “rules” but be more diverse with it. Most likely leading to Jobber Joe winning the cruiserweight title lots of times and having the shortest title reigns. Tag titles wouldn’t really follow this rule since it’s much harder to figure out what teams are better in status than others besides the obvious examples.

Short stories fed rather than a continuous fed Instead of doing the normal week by week shows and going through the years like what’s usually done, I would just tell a story one after another. Doing this I could just jump from feud to feud. Maybe making feuds like 4 shows then moving to the next. I do have some more ideas for this but I want to save them for other posts I’ll make, including my next. This is probably an easier one to do if you want to write a fed.

How I would end a fed in MMW If I ever did make a 20 year promotion taking place within MMW then this is most likely how I would have the world end. I will put a spoiler warning since like I said, this is how I would end the story, so if you want to be surprised if it ever comes out then don’t read this.
The year would be either Year 19 or Year 20 in MMW. Year 19 to more build up to the climax and Year 20 to be the climax. This world would have more than one promotion within it since I would plan on having the faction Entropy to win all the titles. And by all the titles I mean ALL THE TITLES from all the established promotions(which would be either 3 or 4). And for some reason the wrestlers aren’t just “gimmicks” anymore. Like Monstro is actually a Thanos-like being with superhuman strength and Void is an actual monster. Whether it be because kayfabe is super serious in this world or for some reason the world is given superheroes and super villains but either way it would make them super impossible for regular wrestlers to beat them. Monstro would of course hold all the world titles. Void and Trickster would hold all the tag team titles and Void would hold all the TV titles while Trickster holds all the cruiserweight titles. Andromeda and Warhawk would hold the ladies tag titles but merge them with the ladies title after Andromeda wins all the ladies titles(since I don’t really see a use to keep having them in the end).
The Entropy would hold their first set of titles for one year(probably around Year 17) then the next year they would set out on their quest to win the titles from all the other promotions(taking up all of Year 18 and majority of Year 19). Now holding all titles and basically controlling all promotions they merge them all together into RNR since Mr. Legacy would be the one who originally was behind them collecting all the titles but Monstro would overthrow him as a leader. Seeming like they will continue to reign with an iron grip as the decade ends, a challenger would approach.
Starting with a normal throwaway title defense for Tricker’s cruiserweight title. He would issue an open challenge for anyone to try and take it away from him which would be answered by someone who hasn’t been seen in forever. Defender would debut and beat Trickster for his title. This will lead to all members of the Gods of War faction slowly being introduced. Basically leading to a winner takes all battle between all the faction members.
Could even have the big fight be at Survival of the Fittest instead of Beyond the Wardome to set up a rematch at Beyond the Wardome to be the official “end” with the good guys cementing their win. But yeah that’s how I would end my universe.

A simpler start to a 80s Mania world In this world it would start off like a high school movie with Michael T. Wolf being my main character in this story. It’ll make use of the venues in the game like the banquet hall, campus gym, and fairgrounds. Instead of being a wrestling show it would be more like a TV show with finales and arcs. The first P4V’s main event would be Michael T Wolf facing either Johnny Kobra or Ruffian. Other characters would slowly be introduced and have their own story arcs. Now with this introduction I can have Michael T. Wolf win the world title and loses it to Dr. B eventually, explaining why Dr. B is the world champion at the start of the game. Or just be in its own world with no titles or anything attached but rather implied. Of course the wrestlers I could use in a story like this are Bobby Blitzworth, Boombox, Cletus Mullet, Cutthroat Carter, Dr. B, Drool, Herman the Nerd, Johnny Kobra, Keith Blood, Max Attack, Officer Chip, Rad Racer, Ruffian, Slammer/Slugger Johnson, Waldo the Dweeb, Zap, Zeke Mullet, Queen of Mean, Spunky Sparks, Princess Starbright, and Valley Girl. I’ve even thought of ways of incorporating wrestlers with more “abnormal” gimmicks that aren’t as down to earth like the previously mentioned wrestlers. Like have SlashMaster come during Halloween season as a villain, maybe make Keith Blood the one who summons him. Or have Star Boy be someone from outer space crash land nearby the characters and him be like an alien to them or the world. Same can be done for Robolectro 2000 but as a robot instead of alien. I’ve even thought of having El Presidente be the principal of this fictional world since he isn’t really used much. Another idea I have for El Presidente is him being the president(duh) of a lucha promotion that only holds events at the Casa De Lucha. I feel like this would be better executed if done as tiny episodes but who knows.

Venues Since MMWGM introduced the new venue system I figured it could be used to give more depth to a world. Since you can pick between the 4 options when you create your promotion in game(whether it’s based from the USA(Northeast), United Kingdom, USA(Southeast), or Japan). Of course whichever one you choose gives you bonuses for certain venues. So here’s the idea. I would have 4 promotions. Each one taking up where they’re based from, meaning they can only use certain venues. I even looked through all the venues to figure out what region they’re from and what size they are(that way I know which venue to use for weekly shows and which venue to use for P4Vs). In the end here is what I came up with. Venues for all regions are Banquet Hall, Fairgrounds, Prospect Park, and TV Studio. These are all small venues too so I figured all promotions can use these venues(preferably in Week 1 to build up to the larger venues). Venues for the Asia region are Noctropolis Arena, Puro Dome, Realm of Combat, Skyline Stadium, Tokyo Temple, and the War Room. Tokyo Temple and War Room are small venues so I would use those venues for Week 2. Noctropolis Arena and Realm of Combat are medium venues so I would use those for Week 3. And Puro Dome and Skyline Stadium are large venues so those would be used for P4Vs. If the promotion was based out of Japan then these are the guidelines I would follow. Venues for the Europe region are Compound Bunker, Dark Alter, London Ground, Northwood Quarter, Prince Charlie Hall, and The Shipyard. None of the Europe region venues are small so for Week 2 I would either use venues that all regions can use or just use the venues I would use for Week 3. Compound Bunker, Dark Alter, Northwood Quarter, Prince Charlie Hall, and The Shipyard are medium venues so they would be used for Week 3. And London Grounds is the only large venue so it’ll be the only venue used for P4Vs. If the promotion was based out of Europe then these are the guidelines I would follow. Venues for North America East are Boston Arena, Empire Gardens, Mojito Beach, South Philly Square, The Ballroom, and Vintage Court. The only small venue is The Ballroom so that would be used for Week 2. The rest of the venues are medium venues so they would all be used for Week 3. If the promotion was based out of the USA(Southeast) then these are the guidelines I would follow. Venues for North America West are Cattle Castle, Elite Athlete Academy, Futura Field, Golden Plaza, and Olympus Stadium. Elite Athlete Academy is the only small venue so it would always be used for Week 2’s show. Cattle Castle, Futura Field, and Golden Plaza are medium venues so they would be used for Week 3’s shows. And Olympus Stadium is the only large venue so it would be the only one used for P4Vs. If the promotion was based out of the USA(Northwest) then these are the guidelines I would follow. BUT there are two more regions venues can be from. North America Central and Special Attractions. First I’ll go through North America Central. The venues based from North America Central are Canada Centre, Casa De Lucha, Chitown Complex, Silver Stadium, and Speakeasy Saloon. Speakeasy Saloon is the only small venue so it would be used for Week 2’s shows. Canada Centre, Casa De Lucha, and Chitown Complex are medium venues so they would be used for Week 3’s shows. And Silver Stadium is the only large venue so it would be used for P4Vs. So these venues won’t go unused, I would use these venues for both of the promotions based from the USA since these are venues in the US. Now for Special Attractions. For these venues I would use them for, like they’re called, special attractions. Only using them whether a story I’m telling can use the extra small details or just for like a holiday thing. Special Attraction venues are Dystopian Pit, Guild HQ, House of Judgement, Lunar Bowl, Prison Yard, and Slaughterhouse. Guild HQ, Prison Yard, and Slaughterhouse are small venues so I would most likely use them for Week 2’s shows but I would also use them for P4Vs. The only medium venue is Dystopian Pit so I would use it for Week 3’s shows or a P4V. And House of Judgement and Lunar Bowl are large venues so I would only use these venues for big P4Vs. I would let all promotions use these venues, no matter where they’re based out of. What’s the point of all this? Just to add more depth to a promotion and in my opinion you can do a lot more stories with it. Factions even have venue bonuses so you can write a story like Cellblock G’s Mack Caliber challenging someone to a Prison Cell Match at the Prison Yard or Underworld using the Speakeasy Saloon as somewhere where they fix their matches since it’s their place. The more you look into it the more ideas I think you can have.

Continuing with Michael T. Wolf I already talked about how I want to make a world with Michael T. Wolf being the main character but I also want to use him for another story. Since his alt is based on Marty McFly and we have Professor Gigawatt, why not have a time travel story. Let’s say Michael T. Wolf loses his title or something and wants to go back in time to prevent it. But doing so leads to him coming back to the current day with everything changed. What changes exactly? Well we can use this to have Star Boy and Moon Man become Death Star Boy and Moon Trooper, Dr. B becoming his face version(or vice versa), Hammerhead becoming Freedom Fighter, Ninja Star turning into Ninja Shadow, The Piranha becoming The Shark, and Ruffian becoming Ruffules and other character changes I can think of right now. This can be used to explain the feud “The Upside Down”. You can also have that because of this The Annihilator debuts and goes after Michael T. Wolf for messing with the timeline. Which can lead to Robolectro 2000 becoming Robolectro. I just feel like there’s a lot you can make work with a story like this and can use it to have character get more time in than what they’ll usually get.

Use of Sponsors I feel like the inclusion of sponsors in your stories make them feel more like they take place in a real world. And they can be used in multiple ways. I’ve done it for my MMW story and Arizona Chance did the same for his world with cotguy130 in The 130Chance XPW where we used BoobToob and Chirpy to further storylines. But here are some more ideas. For MMW the sponsors are Action Figure Toys, BoobToob, Country Fried Poultry(CFP), Chirpy, DigiFoto, DoorMart, FlixStream, Headspace, Minty Fresh, Nachitos, Nice, Noodle, Omega Exodus 5, Orange, Rainforest, Razor Shave, Scrumptious Bar, TicTacToaPizza, Tunestream, and VRtv. Off the top of my head I can have mic spots or skits take place on BoobToob, Chirpy, DigiFoto, FlixStream, Headspace, or VRtv. Maybe have wrestlers fight each other over getting sponsored by a brand like Action Figure Toys or DoorMart. Can even do a more cinematic type promotion like Lucha Underground and have it only be on FlixStream. Have one the wrestlers with a band/singer gimmick have one of their songs be trending on Tunestream. Have your top champion be announced to be the cover of the newest game coming out for the Omega Exodus 5. Or even small things like mention a wrestler enjoying a Scumptious Bar before their match or for a big match they’re wearing the newest Nice shoes. There’s a lot that can be done but sponsors are rarely mentioned in feds or from at least what I’ve seen. For 80MWR the sponsors are Akarivision, Fab, Foton Tag, Jogman, Matador 64, Radio Hut, Videogame Playing System(VPS), VTV, Zeta Max, and Zwatch for the 80s. Albuquerque Ice Tea, Bladez, Greg Freeman’s Griller, Jeepers Beepers, Nice, Omega Exodus, PAG Jeans, Pop’s Tattoo & Piercing Parlor, Skykicker Skateboards, and USOnline for 90s sponsors. As mentioned before, you do a lot of things with these sponsors. You can put a lot of your mic spots or skits with these sponsors. Maybe anytime you do a music video skit have it take place on VTV. Or mention that Tatters Gage gets all his tattoos from Pop’s Tattoo & Piercing Parlor. Some small things that add more to the world you’re talking about. But yeah just some ideas.

Opening for promotion based in Europe in MMWGM This is using the system I made with the “Venues” post. Starting first with a promotion based from Europe. Some factions that get venue bonuses from arenas in the Europe region are Revival Militia, Northwood Kingdom, and Dark Arts. Now if I was only using the roster with base characters(meaning not wrestlers who switch gimmicks, for example I’d be using Autumn instead of Autumn Hex first). The roster would consist of Intruder, Hijack, Reviver, Grimcraft, Autumn, Claymore the Brave, Lord Evermore, Reaver, and Winter. Some extra wrestlers that can be used because they either have a tag team or feud with the previously mentioned wrestlers are Celeste(couple team with Reaver), Keziah(feud with Celeste), Morbid(feud with Reviver), Dre Apex(team with Morbid), Mystic(feud with Grimcraft), Professor When(team wiith Mystic). The opening story would be Grimcraft has recently discovered a book that has all the secrets of the dark arts within it. Even have Keziah(or The Timber Witch, depending if you’re using MMWGM to do this) be the person who gives him the book. Meanwhile Northwood Kingdom(Lord Evermore, Claymore the Brave, Autumn, and Winter) are the protectors of Europe against monsters and evil magic, like their bios imply. So after discovering Grimcraft has this book, they set out to try and retrieve the book before Grimcraft gets too strong. BUT as they’re doing this, Reviver along with his henchmen Intruder and Hijack have come to Europe after Reviver was told about the magic book which he is looking to use to bring back his brother Tatter Gage(who let’s just say dies or something). At some point Reviver will use the book to bring back his brother but instead of getting his brother he gets Morbid. Also during this story you can have Celeste come in and help Northwood Kingdom fight off Grimcraft and Keziah which leads to her and Reviver starting a relationship. Mystic and Professor When can also show up and try to out magic Grimcraft while he’s weaker but ultimately fail(which can lead to Professor When leaving and becoming Sir Flauntleroy). And of course with Grimcraft getting stronger it can lead to him being able to turn Autumn and Winter into their evil versions of themselves. And who knows maybe Lord Evermore fails at first and becomes Nevermore but after a tough battle with Claymore the Brave, he sees the error of his ways and returns as Lord Evermore to finally conquer Grimcraft. This story would take place in a more Lucha Underground-esque type of wrestling promotion since it’s more cinematic and story driven wrestling. Feeling more like a TV show rather than a wrestling show.

Use of Tournaments In my opinion tournaments should be used to crown champions or #1 contender’s for the bigger P4Vs. I have thought of using the tournament P4Vs to do like a Mortal Kombat story in 80MWR. For 80MWR the tournament P4Vs are March Madness, Tag Team Invitational, Cruiserweight Cup, and Tournament of Queens. For MMWGM the tournament P4Vs are Couples Therapy, March Madness/March into Madness, Tag Team Invitational, Cruiserweight Cup, Gentlemen’s Classic, Devil’s Dance, and Tournament of Queens. Now I know in MMWGM you can change the P4V schedule so I will just go with the old schedule like how it was in MMW and that’s how it still is on the fandom page. Let’s get through the 4 tournament P4Vs in both games. Usually I would have the winner of March Madness get a TV title shot at Champ Clash(since usually I give the winner of Battle Royale a world title shot at Champ Clash) unless the world champ doesn’t have a match for Champ Clash. For the Tag Team Invitational I’ve thought of giving the winners a title shot at the tag titles at Summer Smash because it’s the closest big P4V or just wait all the way until Champ Clash but that is a long way to go. The Cruiserweight Cup either takes place in July(MMWGM) or September(80MWR). For MMWGM you can have the winner get a title shot at Summer Smash since it’s the next P4V or like I said have them wait till Champ Clash. But since in 80MWR, the tournament takes place after Summer Smash and technically in game both Halloween Hellraiser and Survival of the Fittest have a cruiserweight title match(depending which play style and card template you pick) you can have the winner get their title shot on one of those P4Vs. I would probably give them the title shot at Survival of the Fittest since it’s more like a big P4V rather than Halloween Hellraiser. Tournament of Queens can be the last P4V of the year for each game so I would just give the winner of that tournament her title shot at Champ Clash. Not until recently was there really a use for Couples Therapy until MMWGM added the mixed tag titles. So you can always have the winners of that tournament go for those titles or you can have it be a blind eliminator tournament(like AEW did recently). You can even use this to form/introduce some of the weirder pairings in the game like Morbid and Dre Apex or Jakob Hearse and Mr. Europa. Or if you can just have the tournament feature the ladies tag division(since there really isn’t any tournament for them). Also with the new titles introduced in MMWGM you can use Devil’s Dance for the hardcore title and Gentlemen’s Classic for the technical title.
