Greetings, grapple fans!
We've got a super special main event this week, as "Relentless" Conor Caine will put the JWA World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Omega Satyros! As you'll recall, this all came about because Caine made it known that he wanted to defend the title against Arizona Chance, someone he looks up to and admires, at Guts & Gory. Satyros interjected with the valid argument that HE should be the next challenger for the title, since it was he who defeated Arizona Chance recently. I then had to step in and declare a series of matches - last week we saw Arizona Chance earn the title shot at Guts & Gory by defeating Chief Buffalo - and this week's title match. If Conor Caine wants to defend the title against Chance at the pay per view, he's going to have to prove it by defending it against Satyros! These two men have engaged in quite the war of words over the past two weeks, but tonight it gets physical in the ring. Will Caine be able to fulfill his dream of defending the championship against The Franchise of JWA, or will Omega Satyros claim the title in record time? We're about to find out!
(The polls will be open for at least 24 hours. It doesn't matter who you vote for, just that you participate!)
Last week, in addition to Chance's victory, we also saw the return of Bad Luck Bradley and, I think, of Seph Kobane as well. Bradley announced his intentions to compete once again in the J-1 Pinnacle tournament, or at least I think he did. I'm not really sure. The man tends to ramble.
Daisy Turner and Sakura Watanabe made the announcement that they will be facing each other for the JWA Women's World Championship in a tables match next week. I mentioned that Winter Hex wouldn't be the only woman watching on with vested interest in the outcome of that match, and in short order JWA newcomer Artemis made her presence known. Regardless of the outcome of the title match next week, I'm sure Artemis will be looking to face the winner in the near future.
"Lord" Taylor Thorin appears to have assembled a group calling themselves the East India Trading Company in order to combat Red Pirate Rogers and his Colorful Crew, and a 5 on 5 match has been signed between these two sides for two weeks from tonight. And to think this all started because of a seemingly harmless act in his lordship's locker room.
What "dirt" does Penguino have on Chesterton Shredsbury? Why does Johnny Kobra think the Dude of Wales is up to no good? Is tonight the night we find out? We know that there have been some tensions between Shredsbury and his teammates in Big Waves, Pierre The Enormous and Troglo, but it looked like all of that had been smoothed over. Perhaps the boys over at Penguin Kai know something that we don't know?
Speaking of Penguino, his tag team championship partner Duke Mongoose said last week that the two of them are going to be "forever champions". While I doubt that's the case, no one has stepped up to challenge them for the titles. Who will band together in search of championship gold?
Let's get this show started so we can give the people their World Heavyweight Championship match! Get out there and work your gimmick!

Honest Sal: Wrestling fans, please welcome my guest at this time, he's one half of the JWA World Tag Team Champions... Duke Mongoose!
(The fans boo as Duke struts through the curtain, once again adorned with colorful feathered boas along with his title belt. His shirt this week reads "Forever Champ")
Sal: Duke, we spoke with you last week and you declared yourself and Penguino to be "forever champs" and now it seems you're wearing it proudly on your chest.
Duke: SALLY BOY! I'd get it tattooed on me if the front office would allow it!
Sal: I doubt Kip would stop you.
Duke: Quiet, you! Another week has gone by and no one has had the backbone to step up to Big Daddy Duke and Penguino. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. It's gonna be REAL EASY to be forever champ at this rate!
Sal: While it doesn't look like Pierre and Troglo will be teaming up for the time being, there's also the possibility of the recently returned duo of Bad Luck Bradley and Seph Kobane.
Duke: HE'S BACK?!?!
Sal: Yep, and he seems to think you still owe him that hot ten from Memphis.
Duke: I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!
Sal: I'm not sure Bradley knows at this point.
Duke: Kobane, I don't think I've ever had an issue with you, so as long as you stay out of Big Daddy Duke's way, we're cool. As for ol' Brad Luck, I'll just say this. There are a few things worse than death, and one of them is you, pal!
Sal: That's pretty harsh, even for you.
Duke: Call your grandmother, Sal! This interview is over!
(Duke struts away from the podium to a chorus of boos)
Sal: Let's get back to the action!

Toni: I am here with Winter Hex
Boos erupt as the camera shows Winter Hex
Toni: So Winter, on JWA Mania we witnessed the debut of the newest woman on the roster Artemis. Can I ask for your response
Winter: You want to know my thoughts? Well Toni it's you lucky day. Artemis killed that little weasel known as Monarch and soon with the help from moi, Artemis will crush those little dipshits. I mean they're treating this tables match next week like a play date with barbies. I cannot tell you how glad I am that there is another woman who is sane in the brain like me and not some indie death match psycho like Daisy and Sakura.
Toni: I also have to ask you about Miss Jessie-
Winter: What about Miss Jessie? Does she want more proof about how useless she is to this business. And don't forget how dumb she is. Honestly I feel sorry for Chief Buffalo and Red Pirate Rodgers for having to put up with her...
OOC: Chief Buffalo, take it away

Daisy can be heard off screen in the showers and the background music instantly turns off
Daisy: Sakura! I've seem to left my towel outside the showers, could you bring it to me please?

Andromeda begins playing, and Omega takes a beat or two longer to come out than usual. He eventually comes out to a riotous cheer from the Mania audience, and a more hesitant response from those who only watch Glory. He heads down to the ring, sporting a new set of ring gear, featuring a new golden mask and matching trunks over his usual tights.
LeRay: We've got a big match for you folks today. Omega Satyros has the biggest match of his short JWA career as he goes for the World Heavyweight Title against champion "Relentless" Conor Caine.
Beeman: Conor's going to wipe the floor with this guy. Shame this title chance couldn't go to a more deserving opponent.
LeRay: What more could he have done to deserve this opportunity, especially with your little party of punks around.
Beeman: Shut it, a real champion is coming out.

Hysteria by Muse begins to play as the arena goes dark. A single spotlight silhouettes Arizona as the guitar kicks in, and as the full band kicks in, the arena lights come back on. Arizona hits the ring as the chorus hits, and leads the fans in a singalong of the altered chorus. He then asks for a microphone, and back for this show only, The Wink obliges him.
“JWA Fans— one half of the world title match at Guts and Gory is set— (Arizona pauses to wait out the cheers)— and I’ll be facing the winner of your main event tonight. Honestly, whoever wins tonight, I promise it’s going to be an interesting few weeks, culminating in a hell of a show on Halloween Weekend.
But like you’ve seen the past few weeks, I also have a big side project I’m working on, and I’m here to announce another key role in the Sundial of Fate has been filled. I like to avoid typecasting people, but when the script called for the role of Billy “Wave” Ryder, a happy-go-lucky Irish surfer with a dark secret, I could think of no one better suited to play the part than JWA’s own Welsh Waverider, Chesterton Shredsbury!”
The movie’s orchestral score plays, and Chesterton emerges from the back, holding a surfboard and wearing, essentially, his gear, but with JWA references removed.
“As you can see folks, more of a stretch getting out of bed in the morning than it is to see Chesterton playing this part. Folks, we’re about two weeks away from close of pre-production, and we’ll begin shooting the Wednesday after Guts and Gory— if I can still stand after facing either Conor Caine or Omega Satyros. Good night everyone!”

Good night everyone!” As Arizona exits, and Chesterton prepares to do the same, "Where My Mouth Is" by Taking Back Sunday hits, and out strut Johnny Kobra and Penguino, flanked by two teenage boys who are clearly members of Penguin Kai, meeting Chesterton face to face on the stage.
Johnny: You may not want to stray too far for this, Arizona, because you may need to do a little recasting. You see, as I had already told you, Mr. Shredsbury, my young friends here can navigate the inter webs like the Red Pirate Rogers does the seven seasons. Penguino: I think you meant seas, Johnny. Johnny: I know what i meant. He gets the point. Don't you... bro? Chesterton: I'm sure I do not. Johnny: Well, you see, I thought you were up to no good and I had my students do a little background check on you, my friend. Not Guino... can't really type too hot with his flippers. But we love you anyway, brother. Penguino pounds his right flipper to his chest to indicate solidarity.
Johnny: And we may not have been able to pin down exactly what you have planned next, but we sure did find out a little bit about where you've been. Where you come from at least. Because I'm a California guy myself, so I've done my share of surfing, and watched a lot of dudes out there doing it. And the way you walk. The way you talk. It's got a real bogusness to it, but also... so familiar. And I mean, who the hell in the UK "Shreds the Gnar". Nobody. That's who. Because we found out, that you're not from Wales. That's why your phony ass accent is so terrible. Because it didn't take long for Billy here to find these old photos of this dude over here, this Big Kahuna right here. This guy Shredsbury... Chad Shredsbury. Grew up in Pasadena, made a name for himself surfing down the coast of Cali, into Baja... looks an awful lot like you. Chesterton: Brother, I'm sure I have no idea what you're trying to say here. Johnny: I'm saying you're a liar, Chad. And you've been hacked. Because all this old junk of yours from your old Chirpy and whatever other stuff you used, it's all been floating up in the cloud. And I have no idea how pictures can do that, and be brought back, but I'd gamble a date with Heather Locklear that this is you in every one of these pictures, these articles... it's you. Chesterton: Is that so? And what, this Billy is here with you to corroborate this bullocks? Billy: You're damn-- Johnny: Language, Billy. Billy: Sorry, sensei. You're darn right I am. Liars don't scare us at Penguin Kai. Chesterton: Well that's... I mean, I don't even know how to-- Chesterton whips his surfboard into the faces of Johnny and Penguino and dropkicks it, barreling them both off the stage to the arena floor below. The two Penguin Kai students square up against him, but he instantly superkicks one in the face, knocking him out. Billy faces him, bravely.
LeRay: I cannot believe what we are witnessing here, Sean. What just happened? Beeman: I'm in disbelief as well, LeRay. Because Chesterton... or Chad Shredsbury... just became completely bodacious in my book! LeRay: That is appalling that you would even say that. And this brave student, this Billy, he looks to be no more than 15 or 16 years old. He's rushing Shredsbury with palm strikes and kicks. Billy connects a short flurry of blows, as Shredsbury backs up, but then catches the boy's foot on a roundhouse. A furious anger overtakes his face and he sweeps the student's leg, taking him down, sits on his chest of punishes his face with elbows.
LeRay: Someone get out here and stop this! This is an assault! That's just a kid. Beeman: He started it! Billy covers up and bleeds as Shredsbury backs off of him, but returns to kick his ribs a few times. Arizona Chance appears on the stage, gets in between them, warding Chesterton off. Chance helps Billy to his feet, and as he turns to wave medical personnel onto the stage, Shredsbury steps back in and runs Billy off the side of the stage as well, sending him crashing down onto his mentors and the busted surfboard on the arena floor before storming off the set.

The arena lights lower to almost darkness as white spotlights rotate on the stage and the opening of “Vonnegut Busy” by Sage Francis plays:
When the lyrics kick in, the lights come up and Conor Caine walks on stage to cheers from the audience. He stands in front of the curtain for a moment, looking around at the fans before beating the centre-plate of the belt that hangs over his chest and raising the title into the air. The fans erupt in cheers, Caine slings the belt back over his shoulder and makes his way to the ring.
Rod C: Making his way to the ring, from Providence, Rhode Island... weighing in at 265lbs... the JWA World Heavyweight Champion, “The Relentless” Conorrrrrrr CAAAAAAINE!
LeRay: I expect you’re rooting for Conor in this one tonight, Sean? Beeman: For one night only, Mick! I despise everything that Conor Caine stands for but, of these two scumbags, at least he’s had the sliver of sense not to get directly involved with me or my crew… LeRay: Your…crew?! Beeman: …whereas Omega Satyros has crossed me one too many times. If I had my way, neither man would walk out of here, but I’d like Conor to keep the belt, if only to spite my nemesis, Omega Satyros! LeRay: Harsh words, Sean. Which is exactly what these two have been trading for the past two weeks. Certainly there is no love lost between the Champion and Competitor, and the stakes couldn’t be higher: both men have a dream hanging in the balance here tonight and he only thing standing in their way, is the man opposite them this very minute…
As the commentators have been talking, Conor has entered the ring - completely ignoring Omega Satyros - and doing his usual routine of saluting the crowd from a corner turnbuckle. Now centre-ring, facing Omega, he hands his belt off to Francis McCorry.
LeRay: Conor Caine continues his campaign of psychological warfare against Omega, only looking eyes with his opponent as Frank McCorry holds the bell aloft. His expression is passive, he seeks to give nothing away from JWA’s hottest new sensation.
The bell rings to start the match…

Omega wastes no time rushing in against Conor. He lands a few blows before Conor catches a fist and forces Omega into a wristlock.
Beeman: What a dope! I don't know what kinda bs they were doing "back in his day" but it's not going to work against the champion.
LeRay: This isn't going to be a quick match either way, Conor's looking to drag Omega through the mud and leave him reeling.
Omega lands a few elbows to try to break the hold, but Conor pushes Omega off, holding on to his wrist before pulling him back into a clothesline.
Beeman: A bit more of that and Omega will be toast, maybe to the point he can't stand to show his face in this company again.
LeRay: Interesting choice of words given he hasn't shown his full face at all.

LeRay: Caine maintains control of the wrist as he brings Satyros back to his feet!
Conor hits a couple of shoulder blocks to the upper arm before whipping Satyros to the ropes.
LeRay: Omega rolls over Conor’s back as the Champ was going for a backdrop! Omega off the ropes again!
Caine drops down and Omega hops over him,
LeRay: Such athleticism from the challenger! Omega hits a springboard crossbody off the middle rope! Beeman: Caught out of the air by Conor Caine! Oof! Fallaway Slam! LeRay: Conor Caine using his size advantage over Omega to cut short any offence from the quicker opponent, and keeps the pressure up with some grounded punches! Beeman: I like what I’m seeing, even if I can’t stand to look at the guy doing it. LeRay: You’re a bizarre man, Sean…

(Prior to Match)
Toni: I am here with the JWA Women's World Champion Daisy Turner. Now Daisy I understand you have requested this interview, would you like to tell us why?
Daisy: Well I had a look on the calendar and noticed a very special date
Toni: Oh you mean Friday the 13th happening on October. It's very special
Daisy: Well yeah there's that but that wasn't what I was thinking of. At Guts & Glory it will fall on a very special date that being October 31st. And what do we know about October 31st
Toni: Halloween?
Daisy: Exactly. Which is why I will be hosting the "JWA Guts & Glory Invitational Halloween Costume Contest".
Toni: A costume contest? Sounds exciting
Daisy: It will be a blast and when I mean Invitational I mean Invitational. Everyone is allowed to compete in this contest although I wouldn't recommend it if you have a match that night but nothing is stopping you. And when I say everyone I don't just mean the JWA locker room. Anyone, even you Toni. Beeman can come, LeRay. Even alumni's like Veronica Chance. Anyone is welcomed however, just as long as your not a complete stranger to us.
Toni: And just asking for a friend, how are you able to sign up for the Halloween contest?
Daisy: Well, every show leading up to the PPV there will be a sign up sheet outside the Women's Locker Room or you can talk to the organizers that being Sakura and myself.
Toni: Well thank you for your news, I know I cannot wait for this contest and as we sign off right now I'll put my name on the sign up sheet.

LeRay: Referee McCorry intervenes and Conor breaks away from Omega, who gets to his feet.
Conor and Omega circle each other a little, Conor moves in for a lock up.
LeRay: Satyros shows he won’t be intimidated by locking up with Caine, despite this being an approach that favours the larger man. Beeman: What you call heart, I call a thick skull! And that’s why! Caine throws Omega across the ring! LeRay: Indeed, the champion continues to try and play mind games with Omega.
Conor says nothing, maintaining a passive expression, but beckons Omega with his hands.
LeRay: My word… Omega is going to go for the lockup again regardless!
Omega approaches Conor again, who goes for the lock up but Omega ducks him.
LeRay: Satyros with a ruse of his own! A shot to Conor’s kidneys is following by an ax handle to the back, and another! Caine is down to one knee! Omega off the ropes! The running knee attack is dodged by Caine!
Omega turns sharply after missing the attack, but Caine rushes him: he tackles Omega and runs him back first into the corner.
LeRay: A flurry of offence from Caine in the corner: shoulder tackles to the ribs! A back elbow sends Omega down, but Caine doesn’t let up: punches to the head and now he’s grabbed Omega by the head and smashes it into the middle turnbuckle.
Before McCorry can intervene again, Conor breaks away and runs off the opposite ropes. On the rebound, Conor slides along the mat and hits a clothesline against Omega’s neck as he lays in the corner, head rested on the bottom turnbuckle.
LeRay: Absolutely brutal attack by the champion, who’s now continued that slide to the outside of the ring, and is standing on the apron waiting for Omega to get up.
Omega struggles to his feet and turns towards the ropes…
LeRay: Slingshot spear through the ropes takes Omega down! Beeman: Goodnight, kid! LeRay: Conor goes for the cover but it only gets a two count! My god! What heart from the challenger! Beeman: You mean “What a thick skull!”

Conor is furious the match is still going. He drags Omega to his feet, locking in a sleeper lock. Omega's able to drag himself and Conor to a corner, stepping up the turnbuckles before barely managing to hit an Exodus of Helios. Both men are left lying on the mat.
LeRay: Tides may be turning here folks. Omega with the big counter.
Beeman: So what, he reversed one hold. That means nothing.
Omega's first to his feet, and he knows he wasn't able to get all of his finisher from that position. He forgoes the pin and begins stomping away at Conor in the middle of the ring, his hooves starting to dig into Conor's torso, leaving horseshoe shaped cuts across his chest and abdomen.
Beeman: That can't be legal. McCorry needs to stop the match and disqualify that monster.
LeRay: If Winter Hex can use her powder snow, and Brooklyn Belle use her ponytail, Omega can use his hooves.
Omega drags Conor to a corner and began with shoulder barges into Conor's midsection before hitting an exclamation point with a headbutt to Conor, his horns drawing more blood.
LeRay: Brutal assault on the champion from the challenger. Omega unwilling to back down tonight. He won't let this opportunity be denied.
Beeman: Assault is right, at this rate neither of these jackasses will be able to make it to Guts and Gory.
Omega lets up for barely a moment, with Conor rolling under the ropes, staggering to his feet on the apron. Omega hits the ropes and launches himself at Conor to hit a spear through the ropes, crashing through the announce table on the way down.
LeRay: Another brutal move from Omega.
Beeman: Yeah, and something he can't capitalize on when they both are on the outside.
Ref McCorry begins counting, Omega able to make it to his feet by 4. He picks up Conor and throws him back into the ring.
LeRay: He might've been able to snag a win by count out there, but that wouldn't have gotten him the title.
Beeman: That goat-faced punk should've left it at that. Conor won't go down easily and that probably was his only chance to at least pick up the W from the champion.

Omega makes his way back into the ring. Conor tries to cut him off with a forearm, landing a blow, but Omega ducks the second shot. He grabs Conor by the waist and hits a release German Suplex
LeRay: Omega showing it's not all aerial offense from him with that move there.
Beeman: It's just a matter of time before he slips up. No chance he pulls this out.
Omega locks in the Dionysian Madness, leaving Conor grasping at the mat, trying to force a rope break. Omega begins wrenching back, eventually letting Conor's arm free enough to pry Omega's grasp off.
LeRay: Omega lets a chance slip as he tried to apply extra damage in that submission.
Beeman: Surely a costly mistake.
LeRay: Omega may not have won the match there, but that move did it's job in wearing down the champion.
Conor made his way to the corner, catching his breath as Omega runs at him. Conor gets a foot up in time to stall Omega's charge. The champion pulls himself up to his feet in the corner as Omega charges again, and Conor's able to send him shoulder first into the ring post.
Beeman: And so much for Omega's control in this match.
Omega comes off the ring post staggering slightly as Conor looks to hit a suplex of his own, but Omega's able to land on his feet, planting Conor with a Satyr Kick as he turns around. Omega climbs the turnbuckle, gives his sign to Pan, and soars through the air to hit the Satyr Sault. He goes for the pin. 1. 2. And Conor manages to kick out.
LeRay: Maybe not, Omega manages an impressive stretch of moves, but the champion isn't out yet.
Beeman: Come on Conor. You've beaten Tommy End and "Lord" Taylor Thorin to retain that belt. Don't let this punk get one over on you.
LeRay: Spoken like a true fan of the Relentless One.
Beeman: Shut it LeRay.

Conor has rolled on to his stomach and is trying to get to his feet as Omega is already back on his...
LeRay: Two close calls so far for the champion and the momentum is now strongly with Omega Satyros - are Conor Caine's hopes of retaining, and going on to Guts & Gory to defend against Arizona Chance, slipping away?!
Caine gets to his feet and turns around only to eat a drop kick off Satyros as he comes off the ropes. Conor rolls through to avoid a follow up, but Omega is on him quickly with stomps and forearms. Caine grabs a rope and tries to climb to his feet as the challenger keeps up his assault. Satyros whips Caine to the ropes...
LeRay: Satyros goes for a hurricanrana but Caine counters with a power bomb! Both men are down! Beeman: Come on Conor, you bum! LeRay: Satyros is winded but Conor is the worse for wear right now! He needs to beat his opponent to their feet if he wants to turn the tide.
Caine is on all fours as Omega rolls to his side, clutching his ribs. Caine sees an opening and dives at Omega, landing an elbow drop to the ribs.
LeRay: It wasn't pretty but it'll buy precious seconds!
Caine climbs laboriously to his feet and drops a knee on to Omega's ribs.
LeRay: More efforts to keep Omega from drawing breath, while Caine catches some of his own.
Conor rolls Omega on to his back, presses his hands on to Omega's chest for leverage, and starts throwing big knees into Omega's ribs.
Beeman: That's it, Conor, break those ribs!
Omega is winded even more, but Conor - while looking better than he did a few moments ago - is just as short of breath. He rests his hands on his knees, pulling in a few deep breaths before forcing himself to his feet. He goes to pick Omega up, but Satyro hits a codebreaker out of nowhere and floors Conor again.
LeRay: It wasn't enough to keep Omega out for long! Caine is down, Omega is getting to his feet and the momentum remains with the challenger!
