It was January 1980, and I knew I wanted to do my dad "Mr. Codger Sr." proud. We were taking on the world, and we would need to make a lot of noise.
My dad had already planned some of the first few shows, but there were some openings...

The only thing I could do was decide who would face Star Boy in the final. Johnny Kobra had been around for quite a while, and always delivered. I put him in the main event, and he helped steal the show.
NEXT WEEK:
We hear from World Champion: Dr. B!
Pat Cabbage & Rad Racer take on Cesar Sleaze & Tennis Pro!
Tag Team Champion Jessie Wild will challenge The Piranha!
Honest Al will talk to the TV Champion, Star Boy!
And in the main event... Tag team Champion Chet Skye and Red Pirate Rogers will square off!

The World Champ comes out and says he will remain on the top of the world! He says there is no man alive who is badder than him!
Pat Cabbage & Rad Racer def. Cesar Sleaze & Tennis Pro (*)

Cabbage and Racer use power and speed to pick up the win! Solid improvement from the good guys.
The Piranha def. Jessie Wild (*)
+1 Skill!
The Piranha wants gold, and he proves he deserves a shot with a big win over the tag champion!
1 on 1 w/Honest Al -- Star Boy (*)
+1 Mic!
Star Boy doesn't say too much, but he wants to see how Piranha can do against him before he puts the title on the line. Next week!

In a match designed to send the crowd home happy, two popular wrestlers go head-to-head. Not a lot of storyline, just a match based around workrate. Skye picks up the win, and the babyfaces shake hands!
