This is the main post for Miles Faraday's version of Wrestle World. This is where you'll see the backstory of the company, and other things of importance.
Backstory
This is the year 1991. The owner, Miles Faraday took the reigns from Mr. Greenhorn after he retired to do commentary due to the stress in 1990. Miles’ first action was to turn Wrestle World into a hybrid promotion, based on the actual sport itself. Two or more people fighting to see who is better. With 1990 bringing in more of an edgy time period for wrestling, Miles opted to try and run with what he’s given, since he doesn’t have all the money in the world. He draws crowds who love to see a good wrestling match. Of course, he doesn’t shy away from character work either. With a recent mass exodus from ABCW, Miles was able to secure quite a few good names with promises of screen time, money, and to be part of a revolutionary promotion. Miles looks to take the wrestling world by storm and make his show the best in the business. Let's see how far he can go. As for what happened before 1991, here's what Miles Faraday can inform you. In 1990, Miles took over, and Mercenary was just hitting his prime years, looking to become World Champion. He fought with Jet Set Strutter in July to capture the World title for the first time. The Flawless One challenged Mercenary in November, winning with the Flawless-Plex (even though Mercenary's leg was on the ropes). In 1991, the World title scene is a 3 way dance, with some guys in between. Magnus Muscle is the current TV Champion, winning it in December, a few weeks after shooting a big movie known as "Magnus- Zero to Hero", set to release in July of this year. Meanwhile, Miles has also taken a revolutionary approach to wrestling. He now opts to encourage Hardcore Wrestling more than ever before. While it is dangerous, most of the wrestlers involved tend to be good at it. This promotion is closely tied to Arizona's Bigsky Country Wrestling as they are direct competition. The link will be in this post so people can look at it for context. 80smaniawrestling.proboards.com/thread/331/arizona-bigsky-country-wrestling-abcw

Wrestle World- Friday Night War (January 1991)
Live: The Ballroom
It was a sold out crowd in the Ballroom, all excited for what was about to go down. With rumors of a mass exodus from ABCW, Miles had a chance to compete.
The show starts with Miles in his office alongside Mr. Greenhorn.
Miles: Greenhorn, we got some new talents as of late from ABCW, so what do you say we get this show started on a positive note?
Greenhorn: Well, it’s your promotion now. You did good last year, but I’m curious if you can keep the ball rolling.
Miles: That will not be a problem, Mr. Greenhorn. Tonight’s main event will be a Television title match, with Magnus Muscle defending against a former ABCW wrestler. I have matches planned, but a lot to go through, so let’s get tonight started right.
As soon as Miles and Greenhorn were finished discussing, Jet Set Strutter comes out with a microphone in his hand, still strutting after all these years.
Jet Set: 1990 was not a good year for the Jet Set Strutter. Even after coming off of my sixth World title reign, I couldn’t regain the fire I once had. But this year, that’s going to change. I’m still strutting, I still have a style that is high profile, and I will not let Flawless One and Mercenary pass me by anymore. Hey!
The crowd was excited to hear Jet Set Strutter’s inspirational words, but as Jet Set was about to speak again, the titantron was turned on.
And of all the things that could go wrong, Frontstreet was on the titantron in a music video for their latest hit song “We’ll Steal The Ladies”. Avery, Romeo, and MC Frosty were lip synching throughout the entire video. It was clear VTV was wanting a piece of the pie, and the scumbags were interrupting a good promo. The fans were angry at Frontstreet for sabotaging a legend like Jet Set Strutter (which I guess means that worked).
Match 1: Trixie VS Almighty Dolla
Trixie and Almighty Dolla put on a good match. Even after being in the ring for all these years, Almighty Dolla still had it in her to put on a good match, and her encounter with the young and energetic Japanese striker was considered to be a good match for the pair. Trixie missed a Roundhouse Kick, and Almighty Dolla rolled her up in the Old Schoolgirl to get the 3 count.
Winner: Almighty Dolla
After the match, Trixie left, but she didn’t seem too discouraged by the loss.
Match 2: Mark Bugg w/ Mike Bugg VS Skeleskreem w/ Brimstone
Mark Bugg was not a Tag Team wrestler, allowing Skeleskreem to take control of the fight. He would eventually put Mark Bugg in the Crank Call, before landing the Fear Factor, getting the 3 count.
Winner: Skeleskreem
Match 3: Great Ginzu VS O’ Hooligan
Great Ginzu and O’ Hooligan shook hands, but afterwards, when the referee wasn’t looking, Great Ginzu used Poison Mist on O’ Hooligan and rolled him up for the 3 count.
Winner: Great Ginzu
The crowd was angry at Great Ginzu’s disrespect, and Hooligan himself was angry as well. However, you can’t exactly fight back if you are blinded by poison mist. So, Great Ginzu was able to get away with O’ Hooligan striking the air. Hooligan was eventually carried out by security, and then the mist was wiped off his face.
Match 4: Chopper w/ Cutthroat VS Michael T. Wolf w/ Mighty Leo
Chopper and Michael put on a solid matchup for the crowd, with the crowd chanting for Michael to come out on top. When Michael looked like he had the upper edge, Cutthroat got himself involved and struck Michael in the face. The referee noticed this and call for the DQ. Cutthroat and Chopper would try to get the edge, but Mighty Leo would slide in and scare Destruction away. Destruction left, but not before doing the cut throat taunt to the Tag Team Champions.
Match 5: Mercenary VS King V
Something seemed off about Mercenary when he made his way to the ring. It was as if he was being more cautious of other people showing up, which was one of Flawless One’s favorite tricks to distract his rivals. King V took advantage of this, and was able to take Mercenary down countless times. Mercenary wasn’t able to get anything going, much to the crowds disappointment. King V would go up to the top to land the Savage Elbow and get the 3 count.
Winner: King V
After the match, Flawless One entered the ring to taunt the down Mercenary, holding the World title over his shoulder.
Flawless: Mercenary, your time at the top is over. As long as I’m the champion, you’ll never get close to me. As my undefeated record shows, I am, totally, flawless.
Flawless One left the ring with a smirk on his face, knowing that he has the upper edge over his rival.
Main Event (Television Championship Match) Magnus Muscle (c) VS ?
Magnus Muscle came out with the TV title around his waist. The TV Champion was on fire ever since he finished filming for “Magnus- Zero to Hero” back in October. With the movie set to release in July, Magnus has been showing up for the American crowds as a hero of the people. Then, his opponent made his way to the ring.
It was former ABCW wrestler, Average Guy! Average Guy was wearing his polka dots, grooving to the ring, as he seems to have found new freedom in Wrestle World. And it seems he is better than ever before. Magnus looked at his challenger, and while he was slightly shocked, he had one goal in mind, and that was to win.
The match started, and Magnus locked horns with the Average Guy. Both wrestlers were evenly matched throughout, with no one showing signs of letting up. Magnus would hit Suplex after Suplex on the Average Guy, as Average Guy would fight back with groovy punches and countless comebacks. The crowd were on their feet throughout the encounter, wanting the match to continue. The crowd would start to chant “Fight Forever”, and fight the two combatants would. After twenty minutes, Average Guy would look for the Average Elbow, but Magnus caught the Elbow, before taking him down with a Suplex. Afterwards, Magnus would go to Average Guy’s ankle, before locking him in the Ankle Lock in the center of the ring. With nowhere to go, Average Guy tapped out.
Winner (and STILL the Wrestle World TV Champion): Magnus Muscle
After the match, Magnus helped Average Guy up to his feet, before the two would shake hands in respect. Average Guy grabbed a microphone with something to say.
Average Guy: Magnus, your talent and heart are gonna get you far, kid. I know for sure my heart got me far in ABCW, but it seems in Wrestle World, this Average Guy still has a lot to learn to keep up with you young folk. Next time I challenge for your title, I’ll come back better than ever. Next time, I’ll be more than an Average Guy.
Magnus would get a microphone and speak.
Magnus: The American people here loved our match up. I personally can not wait for our next encounter. But remember, when you challenge me again, I’ll be getting stronger, faster, and I will always remain, America’s hero!
The crowd cheered for both guys as Magnus would continue to celebrate his TV title defense. The crowd continues to cheer as the camera fades to black.
