Jan 1980 Week 4 (PPV): Battle Royale First Match: Neon Express v Wall Street ^Tag Team Title Match^ It’s the Battle Royale PPV and leading off the card is a high energy Tag Team bout. The Neon Express, Chet Skye and Jesse Wild are full of energy and ready to face Wall Street. Yuppie VP and Jesse Wild kick things off. The fight features a lot of wild action and at one point all 4 guys are waylaying each other in the ring before the ref retains control. After that, the match slows down and this winds up favoring the more technical pairing of Wall Street. They isolate Jesse Wild and eventually Mr. Tycoon locks in the Money Maker and it’s lights out of Jesse Wild. *
Match 2: Glam v Countess Glam has made it her mission to take on the top heels in the ladies division. Despite losing to Auntie Voodoo, she continues at it by taking on Countess. Again Glam looks competitive but, is overmatched by the physical dominance of Countess. Countess nails the Great Oppression for the win. *

With great skill, Strutter applies the 6 figure leg lock torquing B’s knee over a chair until he submits. ***
Match 4: 20 Man Battle Royale for #1 Contendership
8 entrants earned their way into this fight throughout the month. However, that meant 11 spots were randomly chosen. He-Beast made the first exit despite qualifying for the match with a convincing win over Skullgore earlier in the month. Dark Invader eliminated him at which point, everyone realized how big of a threat he was. Unable to fight off the others, he made the next exit. The Schmuck, Great Ginzu, Boombox, and Bobby Blitzworth shortly followed. The Annihilator, Herman Nerd, Pop King were next to be eliminated. Max Attack, Ruffian, Denny Doberman, Juan Tijuana, Officer Chip, and O’ Hooligan also saw their hopes end short of the final 5. The final fight trade blows for awhile before the longest running underdog of the night, Zombie Punk, heads over the top rope. Robo Electro is also eliminated, leaving Dicky Thunderbird, Devin Van Winkle and Warhawk to duke it out. Warhawk went to the top rope for a high risk move and instead wound up being the next one out. Thus the final two wage and exhaustive war to eliminate the other before Thunderbird was able to gain the upper hand and claim the win. **
