Call me ignorant, but no ideas, haha The Von Erichs were big in Texas in the early to mid 80s. They feuded with the Freebirds a lot. It was four brothers and their father. The most famous was Kerry Von Erich, The Texas Tornado. He beat Mr. Perfect for the IC title in WWF. Most (or all, not sure) of the brothers committed suicide at a fairly young ages while they were in their prime.

I'll expand a little more on the Von Erichs (real last name Adkisson) and their curse.
Fritz Von Erich - The family patriarch. A pretty big star in the 60s and 70s. Runs World Class Championship Wrestling based out of Texas, which last until the late-80s. He's represented in 80MW as the manager Franz Van Winkle.
He has six sons, from oldest to youngest:
1.) Jack - Was accidentally electrocuted and died at age 6.
2.) Kevin Von Erich - The last surviving Von Erich brother. He is represented in 80MW as Devin Van Winkle. Relatively good wrestler and was pretty successful for WCCW. His two sons are wrestlers and appeared for TNA at some point. Given that he is the only surviving member of the Von Erich wrestling clan, he is essentially the overseerer of the Von Erich wrestling legacy.
3.) David Von Erich - Probably the most promising of all the Von Erichs, was expected to be a superstar. Had well known feuds in WCCW with Harley Race and Ric Flair over the NWA World Title. He died at 25 while on tour with All Japan Pro Wrestling in 1984. His official cause of death was listed as "acute enteritis" (inflammation of the small intestine), which caused a burst in the intestine. Most of his contemporaries believe he actually died of an overdose on painkillers. Bruiser Brody was the one to find him and it is believed he flushed any evidence down the toilet. I believe Kevin has gone on record with the belief that he had some sort of heart attack. Because he died in Japan, his postmortem was handled by the U.S. Embassy. This had led to some theorizing that the actual cause of death was covered up, either at the request of the Von Erichs or on their own volition, so as to save face and a potential criminal investigation. He is represented in 80MW by the newest Van Winkle (Devon, I think. I don't have the card yet.)
4.) Kerry Von Erich - The most well known of the Von Erichs, largely because of his WWF run. Kerry was not as good of a worker as his brothers were, but he had a superstar look. Kerry was involved in a serious motorcycle accident in the mid-80s. This led to his right foot be amputated and he wrestled the rest of his career with a prosthetic. Because of this, Kerry got hooked on painkillers. His personal life starts to spiral in 1992. His marriage ended and his role in WWF was already diminishing, which caused him to leave in August. In early 1993, he was arrested on drug charges while already on probation, which would have resulted in significant jail time. The day after he was indicted, he committed suicide at age 33 on the Von Erich family ranch with a gunshot to the heart. He is of course Terry Van Winkle in 80MW. One of his daughters Lacy wrestled for TNA.
5.) Mike Von Erich - By all accounts, Mike did not want to be a wrestler. Wrestling was the family business, but Mike was really more interested in working behind the scenes. His career was rather short. He developed toxic shock syndrome after a shoulder surgery and it was quite debilitating to him, both physically and mentally. The following year, he was in a car accident that lead to further head trauma. Mike felt the pressure to live up to the family name, especially in the wake of David's death. After a DUI arrest in 1987, Mike committed suicide at age 23.
6.) Chris Von Erich - Of all the Von Erich brothers, Chris was the one who was physically the least cut out for the wrestling business. Not only was he quite short, but he also had asthma. The medication used to treat his asthma made his bones brittle and he suffered from a host of bone fractures. Mike's suicide was especially hard on Chris and developed a drug problem to deal with his depression. He died of a self-inflicted gunshot to the head in 1991 at age 21.
Much has obviously been made about the seeming "curse" of the Von Erich family. Each death of a Von Erich brother cumulatively added a heavy burden on the surviving ones; the pattern of depression, drug use, and personal turmoil that all the brothers developed is indicative of this. ESPN did a "30 for 30" a few years ago entitled "Wrestling the Curse" which mainly focuses on Kevin and his journey in trying to finding peace after so much personal tragedy.

To my knowledge Jupiter is in a tag team with Mr Tycoon, but not Valedictorian or King V? King V/Jupiter seems like a must-have.

New here and I didn't see the "P4V Commercial" card listed under skits. Does that one still work the same as the rest?

New here and I didn't see the "P4V Commercial" card listed under skits. Does that one still work the same as the rest? All skits perform the same. The reason you don't see "P4V Commercial" listed here, is because this master list is for the original 80s Mania Game, not for 80s Mania Returns.

At this point wouldn’t it make sense to unpin these and create an updated master list for the game we’re all currently playing?
