Guys, you really need to stop with this "feud" business in other threads. I know you guys are doing it all in good fun, but people are starting to get annoyed when it's carrying over into every other thread. There are people who are either coming to the forum for the first time or only stop in from time to time who are going to see stuff like that and end up discouraged or turned-off from even wanting to partake in the community. One of you has even now started being a "heel" to other members of the board with no skin in this game. I obviously don't speak for everyone, but I'd be willing to bet I'm not the only one who thinks it is time to rein it in. You've had your fun, but it really is enough.

Just like there are people who don't enjoy this, there are people who like posting these and people who enjoy reading them. For those who do, we need a way to advance the "feud" Although I'm slightly offended at the way you spoke on this, I respect you and will cut back. Like I said, I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just trying to share my view, which is what the proboards are for. |

Ok let’s all just agree to disagree. It’s all just harmless fun but I can see how it can be annoying to others who just want to take the game seriously. Maybe the solution going forward is to change next years awards and remove ‘Most Hated’ & ‘Best Feud’ because it just gives people insensitive to play up to their characters if they’re wanting to get nominated (I am 100% guilty of this)
How about we replace them with ‘Best contributior’ and ‘Best new wrestler Idea’

Or ask the admins to set up a roleplay board for the feuds to be used on?
I find it quite entertaining, but it is annoying scrolling through pages of the feud to actually read peoples comments lol.

I said what I did because one of you went "heel" on another board member and they seemed to take it seriously. That's the line that shouldn't be crossed. If you guys want to do that sort of thing, then yes, I think keeping it to one particular area is the appropriate thing to do. When it starts seeping into every thread and you've got people coming here for the first time just to ask a question, it reflects poorly on the entire community. That's really my only concern with it.

What’s ironic about this is that Ace and I actually PM’ed before we started our “feud” and agreed to some ground rules— don’t take over the forum, nothing personal, and tag each other on everything we wanted to responses for (although I failed miserably at the last one). It also helped that we were fairly obvious when playing our characters versus regular interactions, and since our forum names are actual characters in the game, and a face and a heel to boot, it made sense.
P4V got involved, and we both followed the same rules with him. (And trust me, I had several posts written and deleted because I hadn’t spoken to him.) It all culminated in a “blowoff” match where I wrote everyone looking pretty strong, and that was that.
I think anytime when someone speaks poorly about anyone and hasn’t talked about it beforehand is going too far. This is really a tremendous community and I would like to keep it that way, and treating everyone with civility is at the heart of any good community.
