Now that the grind is over, it's time to have some fun with and make a basic show using some guys that I like, without going overboard. So, here we go.
It is the turn of 1980, Super Mystic Wrestling just doing fine, and then the owner, Miles Faraday, is approached by a figure known as... Mr. Fantasy. He said he could offer money, broadcasting, and everything in the world, all that Miles needed to do, was make Mr. Fantasy the commissioner of the show. To this, Miles agreed, and on January 1st, 1980, Miles hosts a press conference to bring in the new year on a high note.
"Press Conference"
Miles: Greetings everybody, I am Miles Faraday, the owner of Super Mystic Wrestling. I am happy to announce that today, Super Mystic Wrestling has gotten a lot of cash, a TV deal, and a P4V deal, all of which are from, Fantasy TV, where your dreams truly come true.
"The crowd claps as Mr. Fantasy is introduced to the audience."
Fantasy: Ladies and gentlemen, it is my great honor to represent Fantasy TV with this partnership. Through this, we hope that we can make professional wrestling reach a boom period like it never has before. With Miles' experience, Fantasy TV's money, and the talented wrestlers on this roster, we will try our best to make that dream, a reality.
"The crowd claps as the two men shake hands."
Miles: Now, with all of that being said, if anyone has any questions, please do step forward and address them to this wonderful audience.
: I have a question.
Johnny Kobra walks onto the stage with a furious look on his expression.
Johnny: Listen here Miles, you saw what Red Pirate Rogers did at our last show in December. He stole MY Cruiserweight title, and he didn't even pin me to do it. This is completely unacceptable and I will not let this slide. You better make a match between me and Rogers for that Cruiserweight title and you better do it now.
Miles: Johnny, I saw what happened, and yes, you are entitled to a rematch clause based on the current SMW policy, so we will set up that rematch as soon as possible.
Mr Fantasy: A title match? Why, that will be perfect for the first episode of Superstar Saturday! The main event of Superstar Saturday will be, Johnny Kobra VS Red Pirate Rogers for the SMW Cruiserweight Championship!
"The crowd claps one more time, and then suddenly, the lights go out.
: So, Johnny, you want your treasure back? Be careful what you wish for, or you just might get fed to the sharks in the Seven Seas.
"The lights come back on with everyone confused as to what happened. The rest of the conference goes well enough, with Miles announcing some new signings, Mr. Fantasy advertising when you can watch SMW wrestling on TV, and questions from the fans being answered to the best of the abilities of the partners. As soon as the press conference is about to end... Dr. B shows up with his SNW World Championship and completely hijacks the show."
Dr. B: You better listen here fools! I've been in this company since Day 1, and I'm your current SNW World Heavyweight Champion. The lease you can do is so some respect for the sucka that helped put butts in yo seats back in 1977 onward! If it weren't fr me, you'd be nothin' in this world. This goes out to the wrestlers on this roster. If ya wanna take this World Championship outta my hands, then you're gonna have to step up and face me like a man. Of course, you all will be gettin' clubbered, but they never said you had to be good at it to try. So it ya wanna step in the ring with me, then ya gotta face me and take the beatin' that you're gonna deserve!
"As soon as he stops talking, Haka Tonga appears right before the SNW crowd. Haka Tonga is given warm praise by the SMW fans in attendance, proving his toughness to the world throughout 1978 and 1979. He takes the microphone from Dr. B."
Haka: Listen up, bruddah! The SNW fans and the entire locker room only know you for one thing, and that is the fact that you never shut up, bruddah!
"The crowd cheers for Haka Tonga as Dr. B gets furious."
Haka: You claim to be the best champion in da world, but ya hadn't defended that title with honor and dignity. You may have held that title for nearly 3 years, but bruddah, when you face the Supah Fly Guy from the South Pacific, you get pinned to the mat, 1-2-3.
"Dr. B decides to throw a punch at Haka Tonga and the two exchange blows until security has to break them up."
Miles: Security, get these two separated for the rest of the night. The hostility is becoming too much!
Mr Fantasy: Are you kidding? This is perfect for our first Pay 4 View event, the Super Duper Show. The main event of that, will be Dr. B VS Haka Tonga, for the SMW World Heavyweight Championship!
"The crowd cheers as this huge title match has been booked between these two warriors of the people. The crowd is excited, and Miles tries to get everything calmed down. After a little while, Dr. B and Haka Tonga are escorted out of the building and Miles is able to get the crowd calmed down enough."
Miles: Well ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us for this exciting press conference, and join us for Superstar Saturday live at 10/11 Central, only on Fantasy TV. We'll see you then!
