New member, playing my first time thru, currently in 1991. Really enjoying the game. But I have a couple of questions...
-Do feuds lose steam? I've noticed that the first time I run a feud, I'll get decent stars, but it seems to generate less and less over time.
-Any advice for getting higher mic ratings when not using big mouth or showman characters? Kind of tired of non-speakers getting one star or dud segments every single time I try it.
-Finally, is merch only available by maxing stats on a non-foil? I have the Arizona Chance foil maxed, but got no merch reward for it.
Thanks in advance?

It would kinda make sense if it did....maybe there's an internal control mechanism that checks for things like repeated uses or perhaps to get the most out of a feud you have to build the match up certain way....like tag matches involving both and Mic segments/skits and then the payoff match at a PPV.
Not saying IT IS like that or that it SHOULD BE....but I would no be surprised if something like that exists, even on a simpler scale, or if they come to implement that in the future.

1. I don't think so, but I'm not sure. We don't know all the game mechanics.
2. When you get a bit of (in-game) cash together you should buy "Shoot," "Cheap Pop" and "Cheap Heat" from the shop when they turn up. They increase the ratings of the Mic and Skit segments by a lot. Untill then I would use multi-man Mic segments, so you can always put a Bigmouth or Showman character in there. In kayfabe O'Hooligan was a backstage interviewer in my first playthrough, so I always had a reason for using him in those segments.
3. Yes, you can only unlock Merch cards by maxing out the base version of that card. I ran into the same thing when just starting out, I maxed out the stats on the Foil version of Tennis Pro before the base version and got nothing.
