Disclaimer: This will be the official thread of my R' N' R Wrestling fed. I'm not technically savvy enough to add fancy graphics, or to make it look halfway decent yet. I hope to acquire that knowledge later on down the road. Hopefully you will enjoy reading about my journey through the wild, wacky world of 8MW.
Up next, R' N' R Wrestling's inaugural edition of Superstar Saturday, live on VTV!

Hello, wrestling fans! Thanks for reading Rocktrospective, looking back on a decade of R' N' R Wrestling with Rockin' Raymond Martin!
The first ever Superstar Saturday was broadcast live on VTV, Saturday, January 5th, 1980. It was held in the banquet hall, which would soon be know affectionately as the R' N' R Arena, before a great crowd of fans.
The first contest of the evening pitted Chet Skye, the high-flyin' rocker, against Rad Racer, the radical risk taker who races like no other! The Racer took the early advantage with a series of arm drags and flying head scissors, but was soon out classed by the more skilled Skye. The Racer was stunned by a flying mare, when Skye took to the top turnbuckle and delivered the Torpedo Dropkick! That was it! 1-2-3! Winner: Chet Skye **
Up next was the other half of the Tag Team Champion Neon Express Jessie Wild against the enigmatic Red Pirate Roberts. Wild's energy couldn't be contained early on in the contest, but Roberts quickly grounded the high flyer with a painful looking high back body drop. Roberts took a bow, then delivered his patented Swashbuckler! 1-2-3! Winner: Red Pirate Roberts DUD!
The following match up saw the gnarliest grappler this side of the cabbage patch, Pat Cabbage pit his wrestling acumen against the Pirahna! Cabbage put on a wrestling clinic for most of the contest. Combining his amateur wrestling skills, with the suplexes he's become famous for. In the end, however, the Pirahna's savagery won out. Cabbage was staggered by an attempt to bite his fingers off, when the Pirahna locked in the Outlaw Choke. Putting Cabbage down for the count! Winner: The Pirahna *
The final bout of the show, was a TV Title match! The defending second generation luchhadore, Star Boy, took on the self-proclaimed King of Rock... and Wrestling, Pelvis Pressly! Pressly started his cheating ways off the bat, using the ropes for leverage in an abdominal stretch. Star Boy managed to escape his clutches however, and was soon flying around the ring. Following an amazing Huracánrana, Star Boy nailed Pressly off the ropes with the Flying Cross Chop! 1-2-3! Winner: Star Boy +1 skill **
Next time we'll be covering Sunday Night Slam, where we hear from World Champion Dr. B, witness the first 1-on-1 with Honest Al talking to TV Champion Star Boy, and main event action featuring Pelvis Pressly taking on Red Pirate Roberts!

Hello, wrestling fans! Thanks for reading Rocktrospective, looking back on a decade of R' N' R Wrestling with Rockin' Raymond Martin!
In this week's column we're taking a look back at the first edition of Sunday Night Slam! It was held live from the legendary Fairgrounds, on January 13th, 1980, and broadcast on VTV!
First up, we have the World Champion, Dr. B in the center of the ring!
"Everyone knows that I'm a bad man! It ain't bragging, if it's the truth! I'm sure all of yall know that there's a huge P4V coming up at the end of the month, called Super Duper Show! Everyone's asking who I'm gonna defend my World Heavyweight Championship against! Well, it ain't gonna be one of these jabrones back in that locker room, I can tell ya that! These clowns can't even carry my jockstrap! So I'm making an open challenge to any wrestler out there, who thinks they're bad! Get your butt to Super Duper Show, and I'll show you what bad is all about!" **, +1 Pop!
For the first match up of the evening, we've got tag team action! Pat Cabbage along sometime partner Rad Racer, taking on the duo of Cesar Sleaze and the Tennis Pro. The contest began with Racer and the Tennis Pro in the ring trading blows. Tennis Pro soon showed off his trademark temper, throwing a tantrum at the referee for expelling Sleaze from the ring during an attempted double team maneuver. After quite a beating at the hands of the bad guys, Racer made the hot tag to Cabbage who cleaned house with a series of suplexes. He tossed Sleaze into the ropes, and nails the Garbage Pail Driver for the 1-2-3! Winners: Pat Cabbage +1 Skill! and Rad Racer *
The second contest of the evening saw the Pirahna dominate one half of the Tag Team Champions, Jessie Wild! The Pirahna took the early advantage in a lopsided affair. Brawling Wild to the outside of the ring, where he threatened to slam him on the exposed concrete floor. The referee persuaded him to reenter the ring with his opponent however, but he was soon back to his savagely ways. Putting the chomp on Wild's shoulder, before locking in the Outlaw Choke! The referee called for the bell! Winner: The Pirahna *
We then head to the stage area where Honest Al is standing by with the TV Champion Star Boy with none other than Mr. Bonsai!
Al begins, "I gotta say, Star Boy, I am surprised to see Mr. Bonsai here tonight! The fans want the truth! Are you working under the tutelage of Mr. Bonsai?"
Mr. Bonsai redirects the microphone, "Ahso, Al-san! I have been hired on as a mentor for Star Boy-san by his father, to prepare him for the savage Pirahna!"
Star Boy weighs in, "Pirahna! I have seen the way you have been running roughshod over the locker room for far too long, esse! You think that you can cheat your way to glory, but I vow to put a stop to it! Starting next week, I'm dedicating my career to driving you out of R' N' R Wrestling for good!"
The camera turns to Honest Al while Star Boy poses for the fans, "You heard it here first, wrestling fans! That's the truth, or my name isn't Honest Al!"
We head back to the ring where Pelvis Pressly with that pint sized plutocract Big Boss, Jr. is getting ready to take on Red Pirate Roberts in our main event! Despite an early advantage due to the ringside antics of his manager, Pressly was soon begging off of a fired up Roberts. After a series of chops and punches, Roberts slams Pressly to the mat. He takes his signature bow, and delivers the Swashbuckler! 1-2-3! It's in the books! Winner: Red Pirate Roberts *
In the next Rocktrospective we'll be looking back on the Weekend Wrasslin' show! Pelvis Pressly will go 1-on-1 with Honest Al, we'll see tag team action featuring the Neon Express, and the first ever confrontation between Star Boy and the Pirahna!
