Aside from managing Demolition when they won the Tag-Team titles, did he ever have any success as a manager?
Also, did Slick ever do anything of note other than being a cool dude?

You have to remember the contexts...Fuji was an established wrestler in his day and one of the better heel managers of his era. However at around that time the majority of managers in WWF were old white guys (Heenan, Valiant, Blassie) or young white guys like Jimmy Hart....and they pretty much liked to deal in racial/cultural stereotypes, so the Oddjob look inspired Mr. Fuji fit like a glove. It was only natural that they'd explore other stereotypes so they brought in the Jive Soul Bro...the Doctor of Style...Slick.
At the time, WWF worked as a single roster and with only 3 belts, Slick kinda got a shitty deal on the guys he was given...I mean sure Butch Reed was good and in line to be IC champ, but when that fell through he was left with tag teams who were never pushed for the titles or singles guys that weren't gonna topple Hogan, Savage or Warrior given the booking mentality at the time. And it's not like the guys he had were bad....but the timing was off as the rest of the roster was stacked.
Maybe in an Attitude Era scenario, with extra titles (CW, HC, EURO), and a more avant-garde style booking, at least some of his guys might have gotten a run...or even today's structure and booking
Maybe not thee Bolsheviks....but the Twin Towers and Power and Glory would easily have been champions at least a once with two tag belts around. Warlord maybe a US or Hardcore run...Bossman for sure a hardcore run under him...Rick Martel a Euro, US or IC run....I mean Martel was real good....shame his gimmick was too silly to be taken seriously as he as a more serious heel would easily have had amazing feuds with Bret and HBK in the mid 90s!

I'm not a fan of Fuji as a manager. Bad promo and they never did anything interesting with him. When he was a wrestler he was alright and had a decent team with Tiger Chung Lee. Slick was a decent talker but as chopper above has stated they never gave him wrestlers who could get pushed to the moon and it was mostly oddball tag teams until he got released. I think had they kept him around for awhile he would have made a good addition to the Nation of Domination.

Also, did Slick ever do anything of note other than being a cool dude? Uh, he made Kamala realize that he was a man, not some savage beast! Don’t you remember Kamala hitting the bowling lanes?

Mr Fuji managed yokozuna, Also slicks dudes Big Boss Man, and Akeem eliminated Hogan in RR89? Might be the highlight of slicks career. Or when Ted Dibiase took him backstage to buy number 30 off him in RR 89!
