For me, the team of Jet Set Strutter and O'Hooligan dethroned the inaugural champs and held the belts for over a half a decade before finally losing to the team of Dude Brohan and Buzzsaw.
Slashmaster also had a... ahem, stranglehold on the World title for what felt like an eternity.

Ninja Star held the World Title for about 2.5 years in my original run.

One champ has faced all the big-time opponents and has yet to lose. Curious to see who finally knocks him off. (Won't spoil due to fed results being posted in another forum!)

During my first play through, I think Strutter held the World title for about 2 years. Arizona Chance and Reptile Ranger had the tag belts for about nine months.

Blade Blasters won tag team gold in February 1982 and held the belts until Jet Set Strutter and foil O'hooligan beat them in February 1987! They pretty much ARE the tag team division being the only natural main event duo.

AZ Chance won the Heavyweight belt in like July 1980 and held it until February 1982. But Hammerhead finally broke him down.

Three years for Slashmaster. He ran through every top face and heel, then eventually was dethroned by Arizona with the help of Mr. Bonsai.

Slashmaster won the belt the most times in my original run through with 6 or 7 reigns.

The Evil Empire (Dark Invader and Death Star Boy) just finally lost the Tag Team titles in my game. One month shy of 2 years. It took 2 or 3 tries for Enormous Pierre & Lazer (BB version) to finally dethrone them.
In other news, Dark Invader still has the TV title for nearly 2 1/2 years, turning back all challengers including his enemy Ace Arcadium and Enormous Pierre.

And in what I billed as his last chance to win the TV title from Dark Invader, Ace Arcadium FINALLY ends the 2 1/2 year reign of Dark Invader in a Lumberjack Match!!

For me, Slashmaster (2) won the World Title in February of 1980 and has not dropped it one time. I'm currently in week 2 of 1986, so it's coming up on his 6 year anniversary XD
He has also held the TV and Tag Titles simultaneously multiple times. At one point he had all 3 titles for just over 2 years. He's a damn beast!
