I think it's safe to say at this point that anything pop-culture related from 2000 to 2015-ish that isn't popular enough to be combined into a joint parody (like Frozen + Game of Thrones = Winter) is probably not getting in, unfortunately.
As for a specific example, I'd love a Drake and Josh parody, but it's probably too old to be included. It'd be awesome if I was proven wrong, but I'm not holding my breath.

With the Release of Joker movie, thinking of it maybe we can get some marvel or dc character parody’s for Modern Mania, we’ve had legendary performances from Heath Ledger and Marvel Cinema has been around heavy in modern day. Plus we haven’t had these legendary comic characters yet  could’ve added them to any generation but the modern mania day may be the perfect one! |

Shrek could be a good choice since he has become a household name, it could also produce a mic spot, The Ogre's Swamphouse (The Ogre is the name of the character because parody and copyright)
Sadly we might not get him because he is more of a 2000's character
