Not sure if this counts as nostalgia or not, but it definitely doesn't have anything to do with the game directly, so he we go:
I personally HATE the custom name plate or custom side plates on title belts. I've always been of the opinion that the Title was supposed to be representative of the company and an accomplishment. Having your name engraved on the front or having your personal logos on the sides feels unnecessary to me. With the exclusion of John Cena's Spinner Belt becoming the official WWE Title for far too long, any "custom" title belts were worn and used by one wrestler only and was generally part of a gimmick (Austin's Smoking Skull Belt) or storyline.
The wrestler with the belt is the champion. If they are not, then it is the commentator's job to explain why that person is carrying the belt (stolen as part of an angle). You shouldn't need to have your name or logo on it like your mother stitching your name into your underwear when you go to summer camp.
Anyhow, that's my two cents.
