The structure hanging above the ring is lowered. It is a giant opaque box with a vial of lethal poison in it that could burst at any moment. The crowd has no idea what is going on inside the box, so untill the result is observed we have to assume that Slashmaster is both the new champion and not the champion. The quantum champion.
The box is raised and the poison gas disperses. The only man still standing is Slashmaster.

A man is fleeing from a pack of rabid dogs. He knows what he did was wrong, but he had to steal this medicine. His wife is sick, their young child malnourished and all the money he makes goes straight into the pockets of the heartless mobsters that he owes money to.
He looks over his shoulder. The pharmacy's owner's dogs are closing in on him. His heart is racing, his feet are hurting and he is completely out of breath. How long can he keep this up?

The man peeks his head out the door and looks around. It seems like he has escaped from the dogs, but he can still hear their angry growling in the distance. Going outside would be a bad idea.
He turns around and inspects his new surroundings. The dark, empty hallway seems to go on for miles. He starts walking. "Hello? Can anybody hear me?" His voice echoes through the deserted room, but there is no response.
Suddenly he hears a door opening somewhere behind him, followed by the sound of frenzied barking. The dogs are back. His body is aching all over, but with his last bit of energy he starts running once more...

Meanwhile, Slashmaster has been applying a headlock on 2mega for close to two hours. Although he is no physical danger at all, 2mega passes out due to sheer boredom.

Slashmaster looks around. There is no one to challenge him. He smugly throws the belt over his shoulder and begins to leave. As he steps through the ropes, a triumphant orchestral score blades through the arena; it’s the theme from the new movie Space Wars. The lights go out, and when they come back up, Chance Solar is standing in front of Slashmaster. What he doesn’t see is that Chance’s friend, Hairy, is behind him.
Hairy grabs Slashmaster’s arms and tries to rip them off, but Chance stops him by giving him a Wookiee treat and patting his head. Chance then pulls out a blaster and shoots first, knocking out Slash. Chance states, “It was set to stun,” and covers the unconscious Slash to become the Christmas Scramble Champ.
