20 years after officially becoming defunct, Rock'n'Roll Wrestling are set to return to the wrestling industry.

Rock'n'Roll Wrestling, better known as RnR, were a household name during the 80s and 90s featuring wrestling's top stars, such as Dude Brohan, Slashmaster and Ace of Spades. However, the brand was forced into bankruptcy after a series of poor financial decisions, along with RnR being unable to adapt to the 'cutting edge' style which fans desired so much in the late 90s.

The brand's first show after its bankruptcy, which has been nicknamed 'RnR: ReBorn', has attracted thousands of retro wrestling fans, despite there being no actual match card. The show, which has already been sold out, is set to take place in Connecticut, the birthplace of RnR.

While RnR seems to already have a small, loyal fan base, can RnR successfully attract younger fans? Or will RnR get lost in the wrestling mix yet again?

Nonetheless, RnR will certainly become the brand to watch within the next few months.

Mr Fantasy: Wow.

The crowd cheers.

Mr Fantasy: RnR is back, baby! It's... ReBorn!

The crowd pops again.

Mr Fantasy: Hello and welcome to RnR's first show in 20 years, RnR: ReBorn. You know, 20 years ago, if you told me I'd stand in an RnR ring again, I wouldn't have believed you. But here we are.

The crowd cheers yet again.

Mr Fantasy: Now it won't come as a surprise when I say, I'm the owner of this brand, but it may surprise when I say I'm only one of the owners... May I present to you... Mr Greenhorn!

Mr Greenhorn walks down the ramp and into the ring, greeted by an applause by the audience.

Mr Fantasy: Greenie, this wouldn't be possible without you. You said to me, 'I wanna see RnR back in its glory days. We can do it together. We'll go 50% on the costs'. I thank you a million times over!

Mr Greenhorn: Thank you sir, it was a team effort.

Mr Fantasy: That's why we both have a 50% share of the company!

Mr Greenhorn: We sure do!

The crowd murmurs throughout the conversation.

Mr Greenhorn: Now before we get to the wrestling action, we'd like to fill you in on a couple of things. We'll give you the lowdown on what's happening this January, what's happening tonight, and the future of all these titles surrounding us.

Mr Fantasy: We sure will, Greenie! Now, after this show, we will reboot our weekly show 'Moshpit Monday'...

A strong cheer from the crowd. Moshpit Monday was the show ALL 80s kids grew up watching.

Mr Fantasy: And at the end of the month, we will have a... BATTLE ROYALE!!

The crowd cheers again. Nothing brings more excitement than a battle royale.

Mr Greenhorn: Now for tonight, we have 5 matches. We'll announce the first match soon, but our main event tonight will be Richie B vs Roberto Samba!!

The crowd approves. Richie B is a well-known wrestler in the indy circuit, and Roberto Samba earnt fame as an MMA wrestler.

Mr Fantasy: Just before our main event is our Ladies Title match between Magdalena and Mother Mercy!

The crowd once again shows their appreciation. These two wrestlers previously worked for AOE, but we're not being properly booked, prompting them to leave. They have joined RnR looking for a brighter future.

Mr Greenhorn: Of course, we have a match between Massive Gaines and Chester Blood!

The crowd were a lot more quiet for this one, as they barely knew the two guys. Chester was only known for being the nephew of Keith, and Gaines was relatively new in the industry.

Mr Fantasy: And of course, a match between the angel and the devil to find the first Cruiserweight Champion... Seraph vs Diablo!

The crowd murmurs for this one... Two practically unknown talents.

Mr Greenhorn: Of course, you'll notice that there aren't any title matches for the World and Tag Championships. For now, due to a lack of a tag division, the tag title will remain vac...

Jackson Good: WAIT A MINUTE! WAIT A MINUTE!

Jackson Good and Massive Gaines come rushing out on stage.

Jackson: There's a tag team right here!

Mr Greenhorn: Odd... I don't recall you guys being a tag team. What's your team name?

Jackson: The... Uh...

Massive Gaines <simultaneously>: Overlords!

Jackson Good <simultaneously>: The Dazzling Knights!

Gaines: Oops.

Jackson: Uh... The OVER KNIGHTS! We are the OVER KNIGHTS!

The crowd is quiet, but they are somewhat enjoying this.

Mr Greenhorn: Well, does anyone backstage wanna challenge the Over Knights in a tag title match?

Silence.

Mr Greenhorn: Well, I award the RnR Tag Team Titles to... The Over Knights!

Gaines and Good celebrate with a little dance.

Mr Fantasy: Now, as for the future for the World Title, I feel that there's only one suitable option. There's only one standout superstar for me in this brand...

Mr Greenhorn: I disagree, sir. There is a load of talent in...

Mr Fantasy: Be quiet, Greenie. I'm talking. Anyways, I hereby award this title to Alexei Monstro.

Alexei Monstro walks down the ramp, eyes focussed on the World Title in Fantasy's hands.

Mr Greenhorn: Sir, surely we can decide our first World Champion through a match...

But Mr Fantasy was already shaking Alexei's hand and giving him the title.

Alexei walks back out of the ring, as Mr Fantasy applauds the 'Russian in Red Satin'.

Mr Fantasy: Okay folks, that's about all I have to say. Let the show begin!

Mr Greenhorn: Up next, the first match of RnR: ReBorn; Claymore the Brave vs Grimcraft!

MATCH ONE
Claymore the Brave vs Grimcraft

To get the show started, a grudge match is held between two stars who've had their fair share of bouts against each other.

Just when the match starts to pick up, a man named 'Jolly Foo' interferes. He enters the middle of the ring, grabs a microphone, introduces himself, and proceeds to show us the dance he calls the 'Jolly Style'. He is quickly attacked by both wrestlers and thrown out of the ring.

In the end, it was Claymore who picked up the win after the Lacerator.

Seraph vs Diablo

In what seems to be the beginning of a great, long rivalry, the angel and the devil faced off in the ring. Both wrestlers showed off their technique and luchador skills. In this evenly matched contest, it was Seraph who got the pin

Chester Blood vs Massive Gaines

Joining Massive Gaines at ringside was his partner, Jackson Good. While Chester Blood put up a good fight, he was no match against the Over Knights power.

LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP
Mother Mercy vs Magdalena

This match was an excellent reminder to show just what the RnR Ladies Division could do. Mother Mercy, who has drawn comparisons to former RnR star Auntie Voodoo, ended up winning this tightly contested match.

Richie B vs Roberto Samba

While Roberto Samba was able to show his skill early during the match, he never really caught up with Richie B, who ended up prevailing and become the first RnR TV Champion.

This show's sole purpose was to determine the starting champions and showcase the roster's talent, whether that be skill-wise or (in Jolly Foo's case) playing to the crowd.

No storylines have started just yet.

We begin the show with Mr Fantasy and Mr Greenhorn standing in the ring.

Mr Fantasy: Hello and welcome to our first edition of Moshpit Monday!

The crowd shows their appreciation.

Mr Fantasy: Tonight, we have some hot action for you! Our main event is local talent Wally Saratoga taking on Cruiserweight Champion, Seraph!

Mr Greenhorn: Of course, don't forget our tag match featuring Chester Blood and Concrete Charlie against Kongo Kid and Timmy Tough.

The crowd applauds once again.

Mr Fantasy: But first... We have Zed taking on your RnR World Champion... ALEXEI... MONSTRO!!!

The crowd boos at Alexei's name as Mr Fantasy gives the crowd a smug smile as both GMs walk out the ring, and Alexei makes his way down the ramp.

MATCH ONE
Alexei Monstro vs Zed

While Zed made Alexei look rather small, it did nothing to rattle Alexei's confidence. Knowing that his power wouldn't be of much use, Alexei used a more technical move set to get the easy win over the colossal zombie.

WINNER: Alexei Monstro

SKIT

After the match, Alexei is still soaking up the crowd's negative reaction until two gunshots are heard throughout the arena. The crowd goes nuts as everyone's favourite cowboy walks on stage, Gunslinger.

The crowd chants his name as the cowboy walks down the ramp. He enters the ring. He immediately greets himself, but gets straight down to business.

Gunslinger: I have one thing on my mind, Alexei, who on earth made you champ around here? I mean...

He is interrupted by Mr Fantasy's music as the co-owner walks on stage.

Mr Fantasy: It was an executive decision, Gunslinger, to make Mr Monstro our champion. Now if you question any of my decisions ever again...

Gunslinger: Why? Why not me? Why did you choose him to be your champion?

Mr Fantasy: Because, Gunslinger, this roster is incomparable to Alexei's talent in the ring.

Gunslinger: Well, I doubt that. I challenge Alexei to a title match!

Mr Greenhorn walks out on stage.

Mr Greenhorn: I couldn't agree more. I believe our first champion should be decided in a match! Next week, you'll be in a match...

Mr Fantasy: ...against Zed!

Mr Greenhorn: What!?

Mr Fantasy: Come on, Greenie... 50/50.

Mr Greenhorn: Fine. If you defeat Zed, you will be in the World Championship match at Battle Royal!

Mr Fantasy: Greenie, we agreed that the contender would be decided on the night...

Mr Greenhorn: Oh, we did... Well, you will be in the Battle Royal!

Mr Fantasy: At #1!

Mr Greenhorn: What!?

Mr Fantasy: 50/50...

Gunslinger and Mr Greenhorn look mad after Mr Fantasy's decisions...

Chester Blood/Concrete Charlie vs Kongo Kid/Timmy Tough

Two makeshift tag teams looking to get a good start in the tag division went face to face. While Blood and Concrete had most the match in control, Timmy Tough scored the huge upset by rolling up Concrete Charlie for the win. Chester Blood immediately attacked both opponents with his cane after the match, visibly frustrated.

WINNER: Kongo Kid/Timmy Tough

MIC SPOT

Jolly Foo is in the ring, showing everyone how to do the 'Jolly Style'. The crowd boos him, but Foo ignores the audience.

Seraph vs Wally Saratoga

This match was over as quickly as it started. Saratoga found it impossible to keep up with Seraph, who was far more technically skilled than him.

Before the match could end however, Diablo interfered and attacked both wrestlers, leading to the match ending in a no-contest. After a brutal attack, Diablo dragged Seraph under the ring, presumably to the depths of hell.

The team of Chester Blood and Concrete Charlie storm into the GMs office.

Chester Blood: We demand a rematch

Mr Fantasy and Mr Greenhorn look at each other from each side of the room.

Mr Greenhorn: I'm sorry, we can't really do that.

Chester Blood: Why not? It was a cheap win last week, and we want to be the ones challenging the tag champions at Battle Royal.

Mr Greenhorn: Well, Chester, you were scheduled in the main event tonight. A triple threat to determine who will be #10 at Battle Royal.

Chester Blood: I don't care, find a replacement.

Mr Fantasy: Charlie? Would you like to replace him in the main event?

Concrete Charlie: I'm on the same page as Chester.

At that moment, the current #1 contenders Kongo Kid and Timmy Tough walk in the office.

Mr Greenhorn: Oh, Kongo Kid, Timmy, glad you're here. A rematch between your team and Chester's team has just been scheduled. #1 contendership is on the line.

Mr Fantasy: Also, tonight's main event will determine the #10 spot in Battle Royal, and a spot just opened up. However, you can't wrestle both matches.

Kongo Kid declines Mr Fantasy's offer, however Timmy immediately accepts.

Timmy Tough: I'm sorry, Kongo Kid, but this is the opportunity of a lifetime! I could bring fame to the Tough family name!

Timmy rushes out of the office in joy, and starts training for the big match.

Kongo Kid: But who my partner now?

Mr Greenhorn: You'll have to find one.

Mr Fantasy: And be quick, you guys are first up.

Kongo Kid rushes out of the office to find a partner, while Charlie and Chester thank the GMs.

#1 Contendership Match (Tag)
Chester Blood/Concrete Charlie vs Kongo Kid/??

After Chester and Charlie made their way to the ring, there was a murmur across the crowd, predicting who the mystery partner would be.

Obviously Kongo Kid didn't have much time to find a partner, so the best he could do was... Wally Saratoga. It was evident that Wally was still feeling the effect of last week's beating by Diablo.

While Kongo Kid did put up a fight, it was no match for Chester and Charlie's determination to become #1 contenders for the tag titles.

WINNER: Chester Blood & Concrete Charlie

MIC SPOT

Candy Cotton is in the ring, bragging that she will win the Ladies title next week at Battle Royal.

MATCH TWO
If Gunslinger wins, he enters the Battle Royal at #1
Gunslinger vs Zed

While it was a very little reward for winning this match, Gunslinger knew if he lost, he wouldn't be in Battle Royal at all. However, there was a 6'8" giant standing between him and RnR's biggest match. Zed.

While Gunslinger appeared to be the underdog, it was clear he was in control of the match. Zed barely got any offense in before he was hit by the Redemption.

WINNER: Gunslinger

Rookie wrestler 'Hustler' introduces himself to the wrestling world, but also states that he is no joke and that he will be the one to watch at Battle Royal.

Claymore the Brave vs Timmy Tough vs Jolly Foo

In RnR's first triple threat since its rebirth, three men knew they had to fight to get this massive prize, the #10 spot at Battle Royal.

Jolly Foo ran straight to Claymore, but got taken down with a clothesline. Timmy Tough and Claymore then engaged in a brawl.

Foo then gained control momentarily, before Claymore took control again and threw Foo out of the ring. Just before he could hit the Lacerator on Timmy, Foo threw Claymore out of the ring and hit the Jolly Style on Timmy, and picked up the win for the shock upset.

WINNER: Jolly Foo

BATTLE ROYAL VIDEO PACKAGE

The video package starts off with a shot of the ring, and former announcer Honest Al can be heard in the background.

'It is now time for the biggest match in RnR history... The Battllllllllllllle Roooyyyaallllll!!!'

We then see some highlights of Battle Royals during the 80s and 90s, while Honest Al announces the rules.

'The rules are simple. Two men start in the ring, and every two minutes, another man enters the ring until all ten men have entered. All eliminations must occur after throwing your opponent over the top rope!'

We then see all the winners of the Battle Royal, including Jet Set Strutter, Dark Invader, Slashmaster, Dude Brohan and Ace of Spades.

The scene then changes to the modern day, where we see an outline of the Battle Royal contestants.

Hustler - We see the promo of him saying he'll be the one to watch.

Grimcraft - Highlights of his match against Claymore are shown. Even though he lost, he put up a fight

Claymore the Brave - We see highlights of both his matches, including his first win and his almost victory in the triple threat.

Scuzzbucket - Making his debut tonight.

Diablo - We see footage of his cruiserweight title match and him dragging Seraph to the 'depths of hell'. Seraph hasn't been seen since.

Jolly Foo - The crowd is treated to some 'Jolly Style' and footage of his victory last week, meaning he gets the #10 spot.

Roberto Samba - We see highlights of both his matches.

Timmy Tough - Footage is shown of his miracle victory, and other stuff.

Zed - Zed's massive height and size is displayed, along with his powerful moveset

Gunslinger - A recap of the beginning of the Gunslinger vs Alexei and Fantasy feud is shown, plus the victory of his match against Zed. He is entering at #1

Highlights of Kongo Kid and Richie B are shown, revealing that Kongo Kid will challenge Richie for the TV title.

A recap of Candy Cotton's challenge for the Mother Mercy's Ladies Title is shown.

Chester Blood and Concrete Charlie's mad pursuit of the title is shown, including the beat down on Kongo Kid and Timmy Tough with Blood's cane, and their demand for a rematch. Of course, Chester and Charlie's victory is shown.

Finally, Alexei Monstro's highlight package is played, including him being awarded the title and his domination over Zed.

Winner faces Alexei Monstro for World Championship
10-Man Battle Royal

As per last week's match stipulation, Gunslinger entered the match at #1. Diablo entered at #2. The two engaged in a brawl, and a couple close calls occurred before Claymore entered at #3.

Timmy Tough entered at #4, but was quickly eliminated by Claymore. Grimcraft entered at the respectable position of #5, and the debuting Scuzzbucket entered at #6. Hustler then entered at #7, followed by Roberto Samba at #8. Hustler eliminated Diablo, but was immediately eliminated by Claymore afterwards. Zed entered at #9 and eliminated Scuzzbucket.

Jolly Foo entered at #10, but was immediately eliminated by Gunslinger. Jolly Foo complained to the ref, but eventually walked away. Roberto Samba eliminates Grimcraft.

The final four are Gunslinger, Claymore the Brave, Roberto Samba and Zed. Samba is eliminated by Claymore, who is eliminated by Zed, who is eliminated by Gunslinger. Gunslinger wins!

Richie B (c) vs Kongo Kid

After the betrayal of Timmy Tough left him out of the tag division, Kongo Kid was lucky enough to end up in a title match at Battle Royal.

However, Kongo Kid only got a few punches before Richie B gained control and hit the Trust Fund Baby for the win.

New signing Keziah announces that she will wreak havoc on the RnR Ladies Division.

Mother Mercy (c) vs Candy Cotton

One week after Candy Cotton saying she's one of the most skilled wrestlers in her division, it was time to see if that was indeed true. Cotton, however, found it difficult to overcome the giant that is Mother Mercy. In the end, it was Mercy who retained the title.

WINNER: Mother Mercy (still champ)

Professor When is in the ring, and makes a dramatic promo. The fans, however, weren't really interested. It'll be interesting to see his match debut.

Over Knights (c) vs Chester Blood & Concrete Charlie

This was the Over Knights first match as a team, and Jackson Good's first match in RnR, and they were already defending the tag team championship.

A series of somewhat controversial events had led Chester & Charlie to this point, and they would find it a shame if the titles didn't end up in their hands by the end of the night.

However, the brain-brawn connection of the Over Knights proved to be too good for Chester & Charlie, as Gaines hit the Deadlift, forcing his opponent to tap out.

WINNER: Over Knights (still champ)

Alexei Monstro (c) vs Gunslinger

It was finally time for the main event. The crowd were keen to see if Alexei was truly worthy of the World Championship, or if Gunslinger could become the second World Champion of RnR.

In what was a contest between two strikers, not many holds were applied. Gunslinger was showing some fatigue from the battle royal, however, this wasn't slowing him down.

Gunslinger got floored with a clothesline, but kicked out at 2. Alexei then crashed down to the ground with a big boot, but kicked out at 2.

Gunslinger then escaped a Russian Interference, before hitting his own Redemption on Alexei. 1-2-3. Gunslinger scores the upset victory!

Buddy Danger vs Scuzzbucket

This match between two daredevils in the industry was an extreme way to start Moshpit Monday, and the month of February.

It was an even match, but after 5 minutes, Scuzzbucket ended the match with a top elbow drop.

After the match, Buddy Danger and Scuzzbucket shook hands, suggesting a possible alliance.

WINNER: Scuzzbucket

MATCH TWO
Siberia vs Warhawk

This match was used to determine who would be one of the main contenders for Mother Mercy's title. It was a close match all along, but Siberia ended up getting the win.

MATCH THREE
Avarice vs Roberto Samba

Two young superstars went head-to-head; Avarice, hoping to make a strong debut; and Roberto Samba, who was hoping to break his cold streak.

However, Avarice was able to hit the 7th Sin and pick up the win. New recruit Destiny came by his side to celebrate.

WINNER: Avarice

We see Warhawk walking into a dark room, where we also see the silhouette of a mysterious man.

Warhawk: I lost my match.

??: That's a shame... You were hoping to make a big debut, weren't you sister?

Warhawk: That's adopted sister to you.

??: Did you need to let me know anything else?

Warhawk: No, adopted brother. That was all.

??: Very well.

Warhawk exits, as the mystery silhouette fades away.

Alexei Monstro/Chester Blood/Concrete Charlie vs Gunslinger/Jackson Good/Massive Gaines

In what was a match between champions and contenders, this massive main event was also a match between the fan favourites and the villains.

Massive Gaines and Concrete Charlie started off the match. There were very few strikes thrown, as both men preferred a grapple offense. Charlie managed to lift Gaines up for a stalling suplex, in which was an impressive feat.

Good also had a nice bout with Chester Blood, and also Gunslinger faced Alexei Monstro during the match. In the end, it was Chester Blood who pinned Gunslinger for the win.
