From Big Hair to MTV, the 80s were a boom period for the music industry.

I remember when Def Leppard's song Pour Some Sugar on Me and Bon Jovi's song Living on a Prayer came out. I had no idea that 25-30 years later, teens and young adults would be singing along to those songs at wedding receptions and other DJd events. I mean, they were huge hits back then, but I never even gave a second thought to them becoming iconic oldies to a future generation.
Way cool...

Finally got around to watching the "Back in Time" documentary on Netflix which alerted me to this version of the BttF theme song.
Talk about striking a nostalgic chord...

1980. Rush: Moving Pictures. IMO, greatest album ever.
I mean sure, I’ll take some G’n’R, Crue, Iron Maiden, and even late Sabbath was early 80’s. But on Moving Pictures, Lifeson rocks on guitar, Geddy Lee is his usual nearly-perfect self on bass and endearingly weird on vocals, and Peart puts together the greatest drum album of all time. It’s an absolute masterpiece.
