I dont know if this is a dumb question but I just started the game practically and i am wondering how many members i should have since i kinda wanna do things realistic, like if this was a real life company if that makes sense, I am also stuck on how many main eventers i should have or openers or midcarders, I dont wanna have too much of one or the other, another question I got is what would be a good number of factions? Sorry if i am making people confused, I love to roleplay if that also makes sense.

Well if you're WWE there is no limit but you'll have their problem of everyone being relevant, getting tv time etc.

I think it comes down to personal preference really. As Dyno said, WWE can never have too many people xD. Like i got all 64 of the base forms and with the update, I cut my roster down to 44 and still feel I've got a too many, but I also know I dont. Someone else may enjoy using all 64. Guess it'll also depend if you have the bonus segment slots unlocked etc.
My main event and midcard scene sorta interchange with each other, but i like to have 5 people who are the top dogs who go for the top belt at any given period of time, then swap them out as my story goes on. Faction wise I just use them all since most of mine aint complete and its sorta hard to avoid them since its easy to get the bonus now and again. Having said that, I dont think we've seen the full potential of the factions yet

My rule of thumb that I usually go by is this. A roster that’s big enough for a 30 man Royal Rumble plus 3 single matches and one tag. So say around 40 guys is the magic number.

I don’t include females in that count by the way as I’m very old school and sexist when it comes to women’s wrestling. You can add as many or as little females as you like to that magic number 40.

Sorry if i am making people confused, I love to roleplay if that also makes sense. Let me show something I did in order to give myself a sense of realism. It may not be the exact thing you are looking for, but it gives some ideas. Basically I did a draft for the Top 3 promotions. I am playing as AOE, the third largest company. Since XPW is lower than me, it is to be assumed that their roster has none of the in-game characters. Here is how that worked out. The only Upper Midcarders I allowed myself to have are the ones in the base roster. All the others one got assigned mostly by their Total Draw and how well they fit the promotions (I view RnR as the "sports entertainment" company and PWN is a more in-ring focused product.) Then I did the same thing with the Midcarders. However, my first picks for AOE were again members of the base roster (and Lord Evermore since I bought him out of the gate). Once I got through those, I focused on picking up wrestlers who formed tag teams with the guys I already had, and picked some personal favorites or guys who had no link to anyone in the other two promotions. I gave the other promotions a couple of openers to even out the rosters and give them additional tag teams (Hijack/Intruder are of course not an official tag team, but they can act as one.) Then, I did the same thing for the women. Any other openers, male or female, I have the rights to use. At this point all the men are in my promotions and only a couple of ladies are still waiting to make their debut. Even when I started, I slowly filtered in the wrestlers who weren't in the base roster. Tempest and Autumn still haven't debuted, but I treat them as being contracted to AOE. My total roster (including the jobbers) is 34 men and 16 women. Over the course of the playthrough, I'll slowly bring in guys from the other promotions. Maybe I'll ship some of my guys out and they will return later with their alternate gimmicks. For your purposes, you can use this model to mold your own in-game universe. You can give the other promotions fewer wrestlers. The purpose of that is really just to give you a pool of wrestlers you aren't going to use.
How many Main Eventers, Midcarders, etc. is the part of your questions this doesn't answer and something you'd have to decide on your own. The way the game is set up, you aren't going to have a lot of Main Eventers and Upper Midcarders to use until you do some gimmick changing and/or status promotion. I hope this helps you somewhat in building that ideal roster size you had in mind.

I try to keep my current rosters in 80sMWR at 5-6 Main Eventers, 9-10 Midcarders/Upper Midcarders, and 5-6 Openers/Jobbers. Plus 7-8 Females. The rest I keep at other feds or are just on hiatus.
So I'll keep some storylines going for about 3 months with certain feuds along with some random matches, then shuffle out a couple from each status for the next 3 months, and so on as I feel I need to.
In MMW, however, I haven't unlocked enough at Main E ent status yet, and wasn't trying to track who I would and wouldn't use very often as I was getting a good feel for all the wrestlers, tag teams, and factions. With the hearts system added though, I tend to keep 7-8 Upper Midcarders, 7-8 Midcarders, and 5-6 Openers, plus 7-8 Females.
After I get more wrestlers sorted out to the status I want them in, I'll probably go somewhere around what I do with 80sMWR, depending on if I decide to keep more in-game faction integrity, or if I lean more towards custom and/or no factions.

Basically I did a draft for the Top 3 promotions. This is an interesting take on things, but what happens when the game eventually updates and populates the newsfeed with the other feds having their own wrestlers. Will you simply lend out the respective wrestlers to the other shows, or just take them all back and find a new idea?

I use everybody. I have the favorites which is the roster signed to "contracts". Around 40 guys the rest I rotate in and out.
