There’s a couple of interesting pieces on the Athletic (sorry, I know it’s a subscription) on the recent releases/recruitment strategy, with Triple H. A lot of it is corporate justification, but it put many moves and NXT 2.0 in a new light for me.

Yeah like I said “corporate justification” I think his statements about running it like a true minor league/college sports system (given how much those have been put through profit maximization) was telling far beyond the “Creative didn’t help these guys and then the guys lost their jobs”. That may be part of it…but the bottom line is even more brutal. |

Harland is baffling to me. The guy got tons of hype because he looked like a young Brock Lesnar. So naturally WWE changed his look and had him play a mute on TV. They could've just let him go back to his old look and have him coast on the Lesnar look-a-like gimmick.

At this point I kinda hope WWE releases the rest of the people I like to see, so they can go to a company I actually watch on a regualar basis.

Pro wrestling is currently in the best place it has been since WCW and ECW went under. WWE is not the be-all and end-all in professional wrestling.
