I feel like in Gulak’s case, even if they found nothing incriminating, he’s so low on the card that it would make sense to release him rather than deal with the bad press.

I was always rooting for Veer. I was teaching in India when Million Dollar Arm aired (a reality show aiming to turn cricket bowlers into baseball pitchers) and, fifteen years on, I’m still hoping he’s not just treated like a novelty. But I think once he became a punch line for the never ending “coming to raw” segments, he didn’t have much of a chance. (Similar for Jinder really…feel like his stories have been in the “hah! Remember when this guy was champ?!? What were we thinking” for a while now)

We probably aren't going to hear it, but I could imagine Jinder asked for his release when he heard Indus Sher was being let go.

Von Wagner gone too apparently. This makes me genuinely upset. The dude was the most unintentionally hilarious wrestler in history. His complete lack of charisma WAS a type of charisma. I can't explain it. He's been a favorite of my brother and I for a while now. I guess the company just had no faith in him advancing beyond NXT.

Guessing, and just guessing, now that Vince is gone the Middle East PPVs, or whatever they call them nowadays, are going to be going away, if not at least much further apart. The WWE has branched itself out to being more all over the world under the new regime. So seeing characters "supposedly" from that region go away would make sense if they don't feel the need twice a year to put on any home, or near home, country wrestlers that they pretty much let waste away the rest of the year. Bad on WWE for not using them more often when they did have them on the roster, IF that was their reasoning.

On a separate note (so I can keep the quote replies organized in my head lol), I think losing Cameron Grimes was a bad idea. They put a lot of work into him and it has showed during his time in NXT. Him and L.A. Knight had a great feud during the stupid return of the Million Dollar Championship. Even with the stupid story, he showed he could still work promos and matches to tell the story in, and out, of the ring.
I understand creative just may have let him fall through the cracks on the main roster. But I always pictured him becoming what Bray Wyatt kind of was, with his backwoods character days. Only a more maniacally driven redneck instead of a soft spoken cult lunatic. It wouldn't have worked on the super heavy weights, IMO, but it could have been pushed against the medium sized guys.
Really would have liked to see him and Chad Gable have a feud for some odd reason. I just think they could have worked the ring well together.

I think the beginning of the end for Cameron was when he won the North American Title and Solo didn't so he was booed
