If Cesaro gets let go I swear I'm done with Raw/Smackdown. NXT is still alright with me, for the most part.

So I haven't paid attention to wrestling in a while (and I hope these guys find a good job to support them or get hired by a different company) but anyone know why so many are getting released?

WWE claims it is because they're in a bad spot financially due to the pandemic, but reports have come out that it is to protect their profit margin.

I work in the insurance industry and WWE is trying to avoid getting hit with a shareholder claim for damages. Basically, WWE said that they were going to make X amount in profits this quarter, so people felt safe in their investments. If WWE fails to meet X amount of profits, the shareholders can sue alleging they were "misled" by WWE and make a claim for the "lost potential earnings" despite the fact that profit projections are not a promise or a guarantee. Bottom line: Shareholders are more important to WWE than their roster.

I'm thinking if they keep dropping good talent like Gallows, Anderson, and Rusev and AEW can sign them it could be great for growing that promotion. I mean I realize right now signing anyone probably isn't going to happen but when things normalize a bit.

I mean I realize right now signing anyone probably isn't going to happen but when things normalize a bit. When you consider that part of the reason WWE had so many people locked up under contract even when they weren't being used was to keep them from jumping to AEW when it was getting off the ground last year, and AEW now has established itself and WWE can't stop them, it makes sense for AEW to try to pick up people they think they can use. No one company is going to pick up everyone. I imagine ROH, NWA, and Impact will probably try to get people they think they can use and/or afford. Or there's always Japan/Mexico/Europe. Again, this is when things get back to "normal".

Heath's been released.
Soon we'll see an amazing comeback where he wins the WWE title, like his fellow 3MB members.
