Very low money.

My understanding is that Drake literally earned a new contract by showing what he had to offer, since WWE barely ever let him do anything. It's probably for less pay than he was previously getting and would be more in line with what he was getting paid when he first signed on.
As for them offering lower deals to bring people back in, I feel like that's "buyer's remorse" for signing people to big money deals to keep them from leaving when AEW was starting and then realizing that lots of those people are not worth that much to company. Since wrestlers are "independent contractors" and not employees, they had to be fired and have new contracts made to bring them back anyway.

I’m pretty sure drake legitimately got dropped but from all the fan support and reaction he was getting they decided to rehire him. And they couldn’t just take him out of the cruiserweight tournament when it was last minute. But yes he legitimately earned a real contract after NXT and it was a great ending cause both him and Fantasma get a happy ending

Samoa Joe and the IIconics are just unbelievable. They are going to have companies lining up for them straight away.

Well, time to revive this topic I guess. WWE has future endevoured: - Samoa Joe - Billie Kay - Peyton Royce - Mickie James - Chelsea Green - Kalisto - Tucker - Wesley Blake - Bo Dallas It's astonishing to me that it took this long for them to let Bo Dallas go. Not because I wanted him gone. I actually love the guy. His "insincere babyface" run in NXT was fantastic, but of course Vince blundered it completely on the main roster. Then the B team was good... until it wasn't. Given the timing of these releases, I find Joe, The IIconics, and Mickie surprising. They all worked big shows in the past week. Okay, maybe not Peyton, but still.
