I don't think they ever cleared Joe to wrestle again. Not to say another company won't, but I don't think he was cleared after his concussion.
AEW can definitely get some depth to their terrible women's division if they choose too. Green and Royce at a minimum I can see there...

Mickie James should be an immediate pickup for AEW, swiftly followed by Green, Royce & Kay.
Joe proper came out of left field after being lauded for his commentary duties - my only thoughts there are he wants to return to the ring and step away from the desk and WWE either had no idea what to do with him or refused to clear him.
I was surprised Dallas didn't head back to NXT.
Considering the higher ups loved Tucker when he was in NXT his fall from grace is shocking.
Blake was screwed as soon as Cuttler got cut.
Kalisto I loved in NXT but looked lost on Raw/SD.

Samoa Joe and the IIconics are just unbelievable. They are going to have companies lining up for them straight away. So you're telling me you split up Heavy Machinery just to do jack all with Tucker and turn Otis heel later..... MAKE IT MAKE SENSE If Tucker turned on Otis in front of a crowd he would have gotten a huge reaction. It might have made him a midcard fixture.

Ngl Kalisto surprises me. Also sucks for Joe, he's one of my all time favourite wrestlers and he was also pretty decent on commentary (if you noticed I loosely based my characters measurements on him). If he gets cleared then I want to see him in NJPW, the thought of Joe Vs. Ishii or Joe Vs. Suzuki makes me swoon

It is wild to me that they release all of these people, but decide to keep problematic people like Velveteen Dream, Drake Wuertz and Jackson Ryker on the books.

I'm not defending Drake Wuertz, but as far as "white power hand gestures" goes, if we're talking about the "OK" hand gesture then that's nonsense. I do know those other things are true though, which soured me on the guy for a while now.

I'm surprised they didn't let Murphy go. Again, not a guy I dislike and in fact I loved his run on 205 Live on his way to becoming cruiserweight champion (I'm a sucker for the guy struggling to make weight angle). But ever since the angle between Seth & the Mysterios ended, Murphy has been a complete non-factor.

Rumor has it that there will be more releases today, mainly NXT. I hope they're wrong about it.

Rumor has it that there will be more releases today, mainly NXT. I hope they're wrong about it. The sad fact of the matter is that WWE/NXT has a bloated roster, as does AEW. Both companies have too many people under contract not being used. Obviously both companies CAN afford to keep these people, but it doesn't make practical sense to do so. Think about how many people there are on main roster television every week. Then think about how many people are on the main roster but NOT on television every week. Think about how many people are on the NXT roster, then consider that there's close to 100 people in the Performance Center classes that aren't "TV ready". It's times like this that having the old territories would be perfect, since everyone who gets released would have a place to go to get steady work. Unfortunately the territories are dead, the indies are what they are, and the big two in the US already have pretty much all the talent they need.
