I'm gearing up to make my next run pop culture allusion focused (and the one after that be wrestling inspired). One I'm not clear on is Masakari, any thoughts?

One of the few wrestlers that I am clueless on....one alt feuds with ninja star and one with suicide (which is inspired by sabu) but have no idea who it would be.
But yes, my 80's current run is only pop culture focused and heaps of fun!

Silvergod: In the team up with Countess Repella, he is Tommy Oliver Evil Green Ranger. Along with his Goldust parody. Also...Goldar from Power Rangers?
St.Cloud: Carman Santiago. Also Scully from the X-Files for her mix doubles team.
Doctor Waldo: Doctor Evil from the Austin Powers series.
Scratch what I said about Silvergod. He doesn't have a team up with the Countess alt.
