I'm thinking that the 9th man is one of the superstars WWE released. I'm not sure about 90 day no complete stuff but I think that maybe a Revolt is sparking up

I think the 9th man might be Brian Cage or Jeff Cobb. Both of them have been rumoured to have signed with AEW some time ago.
Most of the WWE releases (apart from Gulak) have a non-compete that would prevent them from appearing and I feel it would be very anticlimactic to have it be someone who is already on the roster.

And Jeff Cobb has said he’s always going to be with ROH so I can see him being in the match but not winning
