I cannot fully express how happy I am that Io Shirai finally won the title. Ever since she came to NXT she's been underutilized in my opinion, despite being possibly the best female wrestler in the world, or at least under the WWE umbrella.
As for the rest of the show... meh? The current NXT is in a weird period of change, which happens every so often. The matches were all good to great, but I feel like unless there's a plan for Velveteen Dream elsewhere in the company, he's been fully buried as a top title challenger in NXT. And maybe it's just me, but I don't get this Karrion Kross guy, who I call "Gary" because that's what it sounded like Ciampa called him.
