Venues?

How do I obtain new venues besides the Banquet Hall & High School Gym?

In 80s Mania we had the option to purchase them aside from getting a new one every year.

You get a new one every year. You unlock them all by year 16

Frankly I'm shocked they would pass up the opportunity to sell us something. Not complaining, I would buy the venues if I could.

Personally, I wish there were more of a point to the different venues, like maybe different stat bonuses. As it is, if I use any venues other than the two biggest ones, I'm throwing away money for no real reason.

In my later years I always run
week1 Chicago
week2 Canada
week3 San Juan
London in odd months
Silver dome in even months

Those are the 5 biggest arenas. If I don't sell out every show, I come close.

It would make more sense story wise to run other shows, but since there's no story or match bonus for running the small venues; it's just best to use those all the time

That's basically how I book my 8mwr shows, with the exception of San Jaun, i use a small venue for week 3 (never forget your routes!) and olympus for odd months

Seems like a real missed opportunity (so far) to make venue choice more meaningful than it is in 8MWR. It would be great to have a system where certain venues give skill bonuses to certain wrestler types - for example, every Rassler booked on an Empire Gardens show gets a bonus, every Showman booked on a Golden Plaza show gets a bonus, every Hulk booked on a Silver Stadium show gets a bonus...
