I've seen where people recommended to new players to start with one of the US promotions to get more money. But what if you started with one of the other promotions to get the +1 skill on all your wrestlers, then immediately went to New Game+ and changed to a US promotion?
The skill points would still be there, right? Couldn't you have the best of both worlds by doing this? If so, I'm kind of kicking myself for not knowing that. That's a lot of skill points I could've had.

I don't think the +1 is added on the card, just in the calculations for the match results.

I don't think the +1 is added on the card, just in the calculations for the match results. I'm pretty sure they're actual skill points on the card. If you choose the +1 POP promotion, your wrestlers all start with an extra POP on their cards and only need 4 to max.

When you purchase a wrestler from the shop, the bonuses for the promotion are added to the starting stats of that wrestler. The same thing happens when you swap a wrestler’s gimmick for the first time. So in theory, it could be possible to select Europe or Japan, play the tutorial, and then start a New Game+ in America and start earning money.
