I'm gonna be a tool and steal O'Hooligan's thunder (which I can do, because I've known him over 25 years)...

UnderTaker locking Warrior in the casket. That was 1990 so officially it wasn't the 80s...but neither was Jake's snake biting Savage's arm on a Saturday morning show, and that was memorable as hell.

Ok this is because 88-93 run together in my head. Hulk joining Turner is the separater. Zeus and Savage vs Hulk and Brother Bruti No Holds Bared Double Play.

How hyped is everyone about Aj Styles return? I'm a long time wrestling fan who had to take the last 4 years off but I'm gonna give this another try hearing that Owens is potentially a star and hoping this works out.

I'm a long time wrestling fan who had to take the last 4 years off but I'm gonna give this another try hearing that Owens is potentially a star and hoping this works out. I'm pretty excited about it. I've been an AJ Styles fan for a long time... since NWA Wildside if that gives you any frame of reference... I really feel like he deserves to do some amazing things in WWE. I just don't know if he'll get the push. He's off to a good start though so I'll hold out hope. I sort of feel like every few years WWE does a few things that make me really want to tune in on a regular basis. When I start tuning in on a regular basis I am reminded of why I haven't been tuning in the past few years and tune back out. I really hope WWE does something really interesting and worthwhile with all the amazing talent they have right now. Wrestling needs to get back to being can't miss type of television.

Hey who knows maybe Jarrett was right about the Wrestling Boom, honestly with 5 televised shows now from WWE, NXT, ROH, TNA, I know some are irrelevant too the masses but Lucha AAA almost makes me forget it's a wrestling show, reminds me of a movie and includes the story where you can basically binge watch a whole series and feel in tuned to what's actually going on! Bless us with watching awesome wrestling matches again. I can't put my finger on what I miss the most but I think the whole nWo thing while WCW was hot, wasn't a fan of WWE until the Y2J took over and DX was formed. And I'd say I was a major fan of Aj since the hot days of TNA, before a Angels time and when it was just starting to lift off!
One of my more important questions though, did Lucha Underground change and evolve the game or is this a sign of the end? Competition and gives a different perspective and if you're gonna have a 3 hour show what a perfect way to fill in an hour with promos and skits? I'm gonna be tryna try this new generation of writing when I start writing for my soon to be fed here on 80s

Do any of you watch NXT? Has a very 80s feel to it imo. I love it. Bayley is amazing.

If you want to see Wrestling watch Lucha, best brand out there and NXT puts on some good matches too, I'm actually wondering if I should join Indies lol

I am a fan of EVOLVE Wrestling and last year with the three shows this year so far have been some of the best wrestling I've seen in a long time. Lucha Underground is a solid show and I like King Cuerno and Son of Havoc...

I can remember the first "angle" that got me hooked. It was when Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff turned on Hulk Hogan. Mr. Wonderful hit the piledriver some three times after the turn and the crowd went crazy. I think it was the seed that was planted to set up the first Wrestlemania. I'd been a fan and watching for about a year prior, but that is the story line that captured me.
I can also vividly remember the set up for Wrestlemania 2. Bundy splashing Hogan over and over. Hogan went into their cage match with taped ribs to sell the angle.
Who can forget the greatest match of all time, Macho Man Randy Savage vs Ricky the Dragon Steamboat at Wrestlemania 3. What a match. Nothing like it has ever been replicated. It still holds water today as the absolute best of the best.
