On my first 20 year play through, I wanted to make money. So I always ran my shows in Chicago, Canada, San Juan, and alternate my ppv between London and silver. You make a lot of money fast, but it doesn't make any sense from a story perspective. I would almost always finish first in TV ratings too. (extra $300/week)
Now on my second play through, I run like a real promotion. TV studio week 1, Boston week 2, Ballroom week 3, all the other big arenas get run just once a year. (I have a whole method on how I decided which arena for which ppv, but that's another post coming later.) I was able to make some pretty good upgrades to my roster. Star wise, all my shows are better. But it has become impossible to finish first in TV. My studio show in week 1 always finishes 3rd. And even when I run silver dome for champ clash, I'm in second.
So does my method I've come up with guarantee that I'll never finish first in TV ratings? Or have the other shows (with rosters we never get to see) gotten that much better than mine?

The smaller arenas do hurt your TV ratings.
The arenas, in my opinion, are probably the lamest part of an otherwise awesome game. Using the smaller arenas should have some benefit. As it is, it only hurts you, and that renders all but four arenas pretty pointless.

The arena you run shouldn't have anything to do with TV ratings. Bonus stars, extra money, being able to cram an extra 5000 people into the building would all be cool bonuses. Cruiserweight cup in Mexico Gentleman's classic in Canada Devil's dance in Chicago Super duper show in Japan Summer smash in London Champ clash in silver stadium Anything else that could be done to improve venues?

I agree the smaller venues should give some kind of benefit, maybe an "indie" based achievement or something? One feature which could be cool could be competing with the other 3 brands for arena bookings - or at least them taking them in some way so you don't rotate between Silver Stadium and Olympus Coliseum lol

I always run Boston week 1, Golden week 2, and ballroom week 3. While ppvs depend on the card for me. I don't book my shows for max efficiency, rather I book based on the show.

For me, it’s Ballroom for week 1, Canada for Week 2 and San Juan for week 3. If you want to make more money, always start with a big stadium with a low attendance before going higher for later shows.

The smaller arenas do hurt your TV ratings. False. Smaller arenas do not hurt your TV ratings.

But if I do Chicago, Canada, San Juan, Silver; I do get first in TV ratings. I just booked a show at Prince Charlie Hall to test this again, and I dropped to 3rd in the TV ratings. It was a 3.5 star show with 79 draw. I always get 1st when I use San Juan or Canada, so the arena must be related to the ratings in some way, even if indirectly.

I started running big arenas for my weekly shows and massive arenas for ppv, and I quickly jumped back into first place on my TV ratings. Whether the devs realize it or not, I believe the size of the venue does affect where you place in TV ratings...

Whether the devs realize it or not, I believe the size of the venue does affect where you place in TV ratings... We coded the formula, so we feel we have a pretty good understanding of exactly how it works. Because, well, math. We won't be laying out the exact formula here, but suffice it to say it's a combination that includes elements of Venue card value, Match Type value, segment Star Ratings, Show Star Rating, Total Draw Power and RNG. Venue size does not directly hurt your TV ratings. Oh... and now seems a better time than any to mention it, but there we're planning on a total Venue system rework and expansion sometime in 2021.

It's statements like these from the dev team that makes it by far and away the best mobile game I've played. Cheers!

Super excited about the venue system revamp. Until then I'll stick to the larger arenas
