This has hit me quite hard. Wasn't like I was a big fan or anything but, like with Shad earlier in the year, all that you heard about him out of the ring was what a total family man he was and how he couldn't do enough for those around him.
This sucks. RIP.

God I hate this. Everyone that knew him seemed to love Brodie and the guy had two young kids. He did not deserve to go out this young. R.I.P.

I was completely shocked when I heard this, just the way to cap off a shitty year. My thoughts and prayers are with his family right now.

I was wondering why he was missing from AEW for the past few months. Sadly, we now know. RIP.

Saw this this morning after our first church service. Since I was leading music, I had to go back up for our second service (we’ve capped our 320 seat main building at 100 to ensure social distancing, necessitating two services) and lead a song called Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me, which had this verse in it:
For Jesus bled and suffered for my pardon And He was raised to overthrow the grave To this I hold, my sin has been defeated Jesus now and ever is my plea Oh the chains are released, I can sing: I am free Yet not I, but through Christ in me
Oh, of course I lost it at that point, crying over a guy who I’d never met, but who was in my living room every week. I don’t know that we realize what a connection we have with these guys. A tragic, early death, especially one which seems to have nothing to do with wrestling, one that leaves behind a wife and children he was devoted to, truly strikes home. I’m two years older than Brodie was, and in far worse shape. It makes you think about your own mortality.
I’d already gotten tickets to Dynamite for this week, since Jacksonville is only a three hour drive, but obviously it’s going to be a surreal, strange show, with Brodie’s huge shadow rightly looming large over everything.

I saw this in the morning, and even now, I still don't know how to feel about it. From what I've seen, he was just a great guy, and he didn't deserve to go down like this, especially as young as he was. My wishes go out to his friends and family during these times.
