It seems the big news today is that starting in March the WWE Network is going to be a part of NBC's streaming service, Peacock. The articles I've read sound like all current members will be migrated to Peacock at their Premium tier which is $4.99 a month, $5 cheaper than WWE Network. HOWEVER, the $4.99 a month level is ad-supported, meaning that aside from the live PPVs all other programming will have commercials. Peacock offers a $9.99 ad-free tier "Premium Plus", so why wouldn't they migrate everyone from the Network to that tier? It literally would make no financial difference to current WWE Network subscribers and you wouldn't have to deal with advertisements.
Thoughts?

By all accounts this should be a hugely beneficial move for everyone Stateside?
It took a year to launch over here, and now the TV contract moved from Sky Sports/Sky Box Office to BT Sports/BT Sports Box Office, so won't be surprised if something similar happens in 2022.

Not sure about "hugely beneficial", but for someone like me this will be good because a lot of Premier League games have been moved to Peacock and now I won't have to pay an extra monthly fee to use the service. Plus with NBC Sports Network shutting down later this year as well I have to imagine that other sports may get moved onto Peacock as well. NBC is really throwing a lot of money into this streaming service. It's starting to feel like the future is the same as cable, just all of the networks will be streaming instead of broadcast, when you look at how many standalone services have been absorbed or bundled with others.

I really only follow West Ham United (COYI!), so I had to look up what was going on with Lampard because last I checked he was the manager for Chelsea, but I guess not anymore. Sucks for him but I'm not shocked. I respect his accomplishments, but part of me will always hold a slight grudge against him because when he played the one season for MLS he played for the Pigeons (New York City FC) and I'm a Red Bull New York guy. You want to talk about coaches being let go for baffling reasons, how about when RBNY Coach and legend Mike Petke led the team to it's first trophy in team history and had back to back successful seasons and got fired anyway. It seems like, at least for RBNY, if you don't win MLS Cup then you didn't do your job.

I’m happy for that reason. I get the Premier League now (go Gunners) and WWE PPVs for half price. I already have Netflix free through my mobile phone provider, so I’m probably going to be watching Office and Parks and Rec reruns through them, not Peacock.
I’m not really watching original network content, so ads on that are irrelevant to me. I just know that I was likely going to cancel the Network after Mania, and now I’m excited to keep it at half price.

My personal concern for the content having ads is the placement of those ads. I watch NXT UK and other random stuff on the network and I don't trust them to put the ads in logical places (like how YouTube arbitrarily places ads during videos).

I had the network pretty much for NXT and NXT UK. Then NXT moved to being live on Wednesdays and wasn't on the network until Friday. Since there are other ways to watch I cancelled the network and that was that.
But then I hit a "need" for some old school late 80's early 90's wrestling...and although I have a shed load of VHS tapes, I no longer have a video player...so I re-subbed, intending on cancelling after a month. That was October.
Religiously watch NXT UK every week but I'm also back to watching 205 Live every week now too, thanks to the Dusty Classic and I much prefer it in the NXT setting. I just hope that when fans are allowed to return in full, they keep taping it after NXT as the fans there will be far more excitable and thankful for it than the generic Raw or Smackdown crowd.
Plus, aside from the crappy dubbed entrance themes at times, I'm loving the early 90's at the mo. Sadly, I'm entering 1994 which means Diesel will be winning the world title soon. But on the flip side, it's also the rise of Owen Hart. Man he was awesome. And the will he/won't he turn was superbly booked. Something sadly lacking from 99% of modern storylines nowadays.

Agreed on 205. Since it's basically an extra half hour of NXT it should stay at the PC/Full Sail.

Honestly, I don't really watch that much wrestling so I most likely won't get this. I found a free streaming website for watching soccer (up the Sky Blues) so I don't need to get it for that either.
